No Darth Vader would be a major hurdle. He's the centre piece of SW for many people, myself included I'd have to say. Whilst I've enjoyed post ROTJ EU to a degree, I have to say that there's a certain Vader shaped void there.

Agreed. The story is over.
If they do decide to do more features, then they should be completely independent of the original story line.

I actually thought going BACKwards would be better than going forwards...although a 7,8, and 9 would be interesting, I thought going back thousands of years before Episode I would be great. Events in that timeframe would be very interesting!

He'd more likely retitle the PT as episodes IV-VI, retitle the OT as episodes VII-IX, make the new films the new episodes I-III and then start saying how it was always intended to be nine films anyway.

Episodes 7,8 and 9 can have the scripts or overall story made for charity, but they will NEVER be made.
George has always said that Star Wars is the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker. With the person the overall story is about dead, there's no reason to go on.

I didn't even expect The Clone Wars to come to theaters but it is in August. The Skywalker's story may not be the plot for a new film, but as many characters as there are the story for a film could go in several directions.
I would like to see a SW film about the origins of the Sith.
KOTOR The Movie, would be pushing it though.

Oooooh. If they do the New Jedi Order, hopefully they make a SUPERB battle to take Coruscant scene. Star by Star could be made into a great movie. Much darker than the other episodes.
A Thrawn themed set of episodes could be decent, too, though.
