Definitely some chianti. I have an eye on a 1999 bottle I saw that's pretty reasonably priced.

I'm quite partial to Somontano myself. They're as good as Rioja or even better, but they still can't get the proudction rate the Riojans manage to get. Have you tried some Veñas del Vero or some Enate, Jay?

 

Nope. Haven't tried any of em, Dave. But I am going to partake of all three now (not NOW this instant(!) - that's not TOS!) that you've mentioned them. I shall report back.
