I have hope that Rian Johnson and the storyboard people at Lucasfilm are smart enough to realize that this would not be a good decision.

 

I agree. Not about the Reylo bit (I ship and hate it at the same time). There's finally a lead character that's female and if they just make her hook up with some guy she's known for like one movie it would be like saying: She's a female. Of course she has to get with a guy!
(But I totally ship Finn and Poe)

I ship Kylo Ren and Snoke. In fact I sincerely hope that at some point in Episode VIII, Kylo casually says "I love you," and Snoke says it back. Not even like it's a big deal, more like they're a married couple.

I just did that with my friend when we were texting... she told me not to cry and was like, I love you, and I was like I know... she didn't get it and thought I was narcissistic

 

Sadly, Rey will be paired with someone. Pretty sure its close to a definite. There must always be a romance somewhere in these kinds of stories! (Not personal opinion, more from the writers' perspective)

Episodes 4-6 had Han & Leia. Episodes 1-3 had Anakin & Padme. Episodes 7-9 will have Rey and...someone. Just a pattern is all.

 

The discussion of shipping and Reylo and all that crap reminds me of a quote from a few years back, "A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle."

Reylo isn't the worst thing in the world. It's no different than a lot of other ships out there that are, character type wise, pretty much the same. Still, I hope they don't go that route either.

I wouldn't mind stormpilot. Reylo, that's a different story. I despise it. If there's one thing that you don't put into young women's mind it's fall in love with an abusive murderer. Finn/Rey is alright too.

 

Is stormpilot Finn and Poe? I'm not too familiar with their ship lol.
I almost want to see Poe and Rey together..

 

I say no romance in the sequel trilogy. Try something different, distance yourself from the originals. Less people calling you a blatant ripoff that way.

 

Of course If there's no romance I'm okay with that as well. But if there is (which there will be)....
