    New interview, yay!

My question would be how you feel about being a male who writes fanfics - do you ever feel like you're among the minority, do you ever think that certain things are expected from you in terms of style, genre et cetera? Are you willing to break any such clichés?

I would ask what your favourite part of GRRM's world is, but I think I can guess. ;) (And applaud, at that! [face_love])

So I shall ask instead: what drew you to Star Wars, and to sci-fi/fantasy as a whole? :)

    Nyota's Heart
Well it comes from the genius mind of one Mr. Martin and his Song of Fire and Ice. The name represents to me almost a mirror to the Jedi. A group who serves against a threat in which many seem to forget and ignore. Also had to throw in my birth year just to spice it up.

Thank you and nice to meet you as well.
I used to be a Moderator on the Star Wars boards back when it was running. I went over to the Marvel boards and also was a Moderator/ online intern. I was on the Galactic Senate boards for a while, and was looking for a new Star Wars site when I came upon the Force.net. It seemed like a lively place and some great interactions going on. So I decided to join up, and have enjoyed it greatly.

Honestly I have never even thought about it. I guess for me it's not a topic which I have come across or thought of. Back on the Marvel Boards I posted the first fanfiction before Marvel created a section for it. I just wanted to share this Spider-Man story I wrote and it was about a conversation between Spider-Man and Mary Jane. I just enjoy writing, and enjoy seeing how others write and create their stories. I suppose there are some stereotypes in which male writers only focus on things such as action and such. I haven't truly gone into much in terms of romance writing, but I would like to. I think some amazing stories on this site are about love and have such depth which some think Male fan fic writers do not go near. We're all writers and we all have stories to tell in different ways. Yet I've read some amazing tales of romance and genres by male fan fic writers. As for cliches I hope I can just be a writer, and be judged on what my material is and how it engages the reader.

Favorite Era has to be Classic Trilogy and the short time after ROTJ. Also I am a huge fan of the Old Republic time frame. Reading for me is all periods of Star Wars. It's such a gold mine that the Novels have, and I find myself currently reading all things Old Republic. Perhaps also the time between ROTS and ANH. Reminds me that I need to catch up on Rebels. Old Ben Kenobi is my favorite character. Thinking of all the things in which that man went through. The battles he fought and all he lost. Yet how he remained focused on the Force and the path in front of him. Kenobi would have to be my favorite book. I enjoy writing Han Solo, I mean who doesn't? A surprise one that I want to write more about is actually Carth Onasi from KOTOR. I always have enjoyed characters who have scars and how they remain steadfast yet they have to face down such demons.
