Red Leader, standing by for Gold Medal Basketball Final Chat.

And, yeah, a 4 x 15 km swim would work, too.

    And I'd settle for a 4 x half-marathon, if I had to.

So far, no luck with laptop internet. And this is with a nice ethernet cord connecting it to my router, too. Grrr.

Hopefully I don't lose track of the time and miss the tip...

and I'm completely sick of the phrase "no gold medals in the Olympics since 2000". I get it when they talk about it in all international major competition, but when talking about the Olympics, it simply means they aren't the defending champion.

and the fact that they've used it in other sports as well just makes it that much more irritating.

however, here's hoping it's a good game, and that they come out with the kind of intensity they had when they played spain before.

Well, considering this computer is hooked up to the same router and the same modem... its not the modem. I think its the laptop's port, though I'm not sure why I can't get wireless, either. Oh well.

And I agree with Inty, the 'no golds since 2000' has gotten old really fast. If it was several Olympics instead of 1, it would mean something. But thats not the case.

    Go Team USA!

I was wondering why Inty was still up and now I know. :p

lol. well, by good game i meant completely dominant performance where spain had not chance in hell of winning.:p

ah... yes. wireless modem screwy, and then the port being bad. *considers* methinks that there's an overaching problem with connecting to the net.

    and we have tip off.

    watching the game sey?

not still up, back up! I took a little nap, and woke up about 30 minutes ago!

LeBron with an opening three ... could be good or bad for the USA. If he falls in love with it, it's bad. If he sticks around as a weapon to be used when needed, it's great. I've seen this too often. ;)

he's been playing pretty smart over all, i'm not so worried about that. it's if they get sloppy like they have been. i wish they wouldn't play so poorly in the first half.

and dang... james has two fouls. not good.

    kidd with points. i'm shocked.

ugh ... quick fouls on Kobe, too.

I'd be a lot more worried if Chris Paul and D'Wayne Wade weren't the back-ups

Should have brought this guy around as an assistant coach: [image=http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0262/ack1.jpg]

Also, might need to go to Derron Williams soon ... get Kidd out. Williams can pass just as well, and can shoot a lot better. And it looks like we need the shooting.

    they did it already.

dang! these refs are insane. they're not letting them play at all, for one thing. but inconsistent as hell. none of them would be refs in the NBA.

    NICE PLAY BY PAUL!

Can someone explain the difference between foul and not-foul to me as far as these refs are concerned? It goes both ways, but still..

    no kidding.

glad they brought in prince. he should help on the defensive side of things.

sorry to see ricky out for spain though. that's a major blow considering.

    no. it's an impossibility rogue.
