So far, no luck with laptop internet. And this is with a nice ethernet cord connecting it to my router, too. Grrr.

and I'm completely sick of the phrase "no gold medals in the Olympics since 2000". I get it when they talk about it in all international major competition, but when talking about the Olympics, it simply means they aren't the defending champion.

 

and the fact that they've used it in other sports as well just makes it that much more irritating.

however, here's hoping it's a good game, and that they come out with the kind of intensity they had when they played spain before.

Well, considering this computer is hooked up to the same router and the same modem... its not the modem. I think its the laptop's port, though I'm not sure why I can't get wireless, either. Oh well.

And I agree with Inty, the 'no golds since 2000' has gotten old really fast. If it was several Olympics instead of 1, it would mean something. But thats not the case.

LeBron with an opening three ... could be good or bad for the USA. If he falls in love with it, it's bad. If he sticks around as a weapon to be used when needed, it's great. I've seen this too often.

he's been playing pretty smart over all, i'm not so worried about that. it's if they get sloppy like they have been. i wish they wouldn't play so poorly in the first half.

Also, might need to go to Derron Williams soon ... get Kidd out. Williams can pass just as well, and can shoot a lot better. And it looks like we need the shooting.

dang! these refs are insane. they're not letting them play at all, for one thing. but inconsistent as hell. none of them would be refs in the NBA.
