    IC: Lahsong O'Toone
The Temple Gardens, next to the lake

Lahsong O'Toone sat on the ground, her leather pants squashing the dirt beneath her, no doubt causing a small stain to start to form on the underside of her pants. She probably should have been wearing her robe, but it made it harder to concentrate when it squashed beneath her as she sat. And, at this moment, in her free time, she needed to concentrate.

A small ripple came from the lake. Trying to steal her concentration.

    She wouldn't allow that.

A small splash came from lake, hitting her on the side of the cheek, trying to steal her concentration.

    She wouldn't allow that.

She was focused, entirely focused on the subject at hand. The small task she'd given herself.

And then ... just like that ... she had it.

A small insect, now completely under her control. She'd successfully used the Force to pull it towards her, and now it was completely stationary, hovering in midair. The small insect looked so helpless now, as it was completely under her control. It's life, or death, completely in her hands. The choice to do whatever she wanted to the insect. It was her choice, her's alone.

She rather enjoyed the power she had over the insect, and it seemed if she thought about it long enough, it might become intoxicating.

She knew better than to stay there for too long, or to give into temptation and kill or harm the insect. So she sent it on its way.

She had much to learn, but controlling her emotions was something she'd had a good many lessons on.

And telekinesis ... that was something else she didn't any more lessons on. She'd always seemed to have a natural affinity for it, but only on large objects. She'd doubted the masters who told her, time and time again, that smaller items were harder to control. But, time was a great trainer for that, but now ... able to control things like insects, she felt fully in control.

    And confident.

And, with confidence, ready for a lesson.

And, as such, she stood, and looked around, seeking a master, a knight, or a Council Member to teach her, or perhaps take her as a learner.

    Greyst Denali and Dade Leviathan
Temple of Twilight Training Halls; Zonama Sekot

Greyst knew there was a chance the Vincent would either anticipate his attack, or be able to defend against it and had prepared himself to be ready for counterattack, although he obviously didn't know how Vincent would attack. The force push caught him in mid air and sent him flying back, although with his forward momentum, it didn't push him as far back as it could have had he not been moving.

Greyst barely had time to prepare a defense when he saw Vincent jump towards him. He landed on the floor a mere second before Vincent's lightsaber reached him, and he rolled his body to the side, Vincent's lightsaber missing his face by less than an inch, and singing part of his robes. Grabbing Vincent's saber arm, he shoved it down into the ground before twisting his body, bringing his other hand down towards Vincent's back in an effort to slam his whole body into the floor of the training hall. He didn't however, attack with enough force to cause injury. At the most, if Vincent wasn't able to defend against the attack, he would get a small bruise, or at the very worst a small bloody nose.

Vincent body hit the floor with a resounding thud after which Greyst stood up and caught his lightsaber. He then reached down and gently pulled Vincent up off of the floor. "You have done well, although you still have much to learn, and your body will eventually regain its former strength in time," he said kindly, hooking his lightsaber back onto his belt.

    Vincent Mikaru

The force of hitting the ground, while not to strong, had knocked the wind out of him. He probably would have stayed on the cold floor for a while had Greyst not pulled him up. ?Well, admittedly, I wasn't expecting to be attacked so soon after returning, or before getting the first nights sleep in 52 years.? Although the last comment didn't really apply, as after getting out of the bacta tank, Vincent hadn't felt tired at all, even now he wasn't.

Vincent deactivated the red bladed lightsaber and clipped it to his belt, and rubbed the bruise he felt forming on his shoulder. ?But, I'm admittedly surprised in myself as well. I had assumed that in my state I wouldn't be able to defend myself from a gizka much less you Master Greyst.? Vincent paused, and cracked his neck to get a kink out. ?Care to fill me in on the moral of all this?

    IC: Alexander Rendush
    Training Room

Alexander was pleased as Rani skillfully blocked each move that he made. He could tell she was trying, and her level of concentration was unlike he had ever seen. Not wanting to throw her off, he dropped into a similarly calculating manner, and continued to barrage her with quick, accurate attacks. At first, Rani's defense was rushed and barely adequate, but as she went on she became more confident. Obviously she was now recalling the lessons she had had on Soresu and was now applying them. They exchanged blows for a long while. Rani was faltering, and almost lost many times, but she was hanging in there.

At one point, Rani had gained momentum and was even starting to drive Alex back. Deeming her ready, Alex moved backwards quickly, getting distance between him and her. He twirled his saber in a fashion that would seem familiar. Alex always followed that twirl with a thrust to the torso. A sly smile crossed his lips as Alex saw Rani clearly preparing for it. However, instead of a thrust, Alex brought his saber out of the twirl in a wide and powerful arc that would sever her torso at the belt line in a normal duel. However, Rani was quicker than Alex thought.

She was clearly taken by surprise. Without thinking, she had brought her saber around to parry and was in no position to block Alex's power attack. She was light on her feet though, as she leaped backwards and narrowly avoided that stinging slash that passed through the empty air milliseconds after she had vacated it.

Now in an aggressive Shien stance, Alex began to pound away at Rani's defenses, using broad and powerful attacks to try to barrel his way through. Rani, whose earlier counterattacks had occasionally caused Alex concern, now had no time to think about attacking her master. By the time she recovered from his overbearing strikes, another was coming to replace it. She was, however, performing admirably. Sweat covered her brow, and her eyes were focused. She moved her blade as little as possible to block the attacks, and kept it as central on her body as she could.

After several minutes of this, Alex stepped back quickly and twirled his saber into a reverse grip, and with a punching motion brought the blade around in an arc aimed at her chest. This one had just about everything he could put into an attack. The two blades collided, and Alex was surprised to see that Rani had managed to stop the blade, though she was now shaking tremendously from the effort. The two blades were locked for a moment, as the tired padawan kept her thoughts focused on what her master would do next.

Once again a sly smile crossed Alexander's lips. As he stared into her eyes, he said in a quiet voice, "You look exceptionally beautiful this morning." The young woman started, and her eyes widened as her concentration was instantly shattered by that statement. Alex almost laughed as he thought she blushed, but he had to finish this now. With a flick of his wrist, he diverted the girl's saber. Before she could regain composure, Alex twirled his saber around and brought it in at a slash to her neck, stopping just before making contact. His breathing was heavy, due to the amount of energy he expended on his power attacks. However, his face was joyful.

"Very good, Rain. You did exceptionally well. Just be careful about being distracted. Your opponent will do anything to break your concentration. It won't always be compliments, but beware. Distractions are fatal." He deactivated his saber and stepped back, bowing to his padawan.

    Raven Lightstar
    Private Chambers, Jedi Temple

Sitting on an elegant antique couch holding her son Creeliam or Cree for short. Co-Grandmaster Raven cooed and awed toward the two month old baby. The sound of high pitch laughter came from the infant as his mother continued to play with him. This was one of the joys that she loved in life. Playing with her beautiful children, watching them learn the ways of the force as well as being just ordinary kids growing up in a universe of wonders.

Life seemed simpler when you're a kid, she thought as she tickled little Cree. The young boys uncontrolled laughter echoed through the private chambers like a hollow cave.

It was almost time for her other children, Jashian and Azhure to come back from their force awareness class for toddlers. The nanny droid named Nana-five normally picks them up and drops them back here at around the thirteenth hundred hour, just in time for their afternoon nap.

Jashian must be a bit restless if they are late. He was much like his dad, very active and mischievous at times. The thought of the children's dad and her husband was too much to bear. Her husband Janus Karn had been a prominent Jedi, but had fallen to the darkside. He now sides with the Sith and goes by the name Darth Verrick.

It hurt Raven just to think of him. Her love, who was lost in darkness needed her to help him come back to the light. No one knew about Janus but her and that was going to remain that way until she could figure out a plan. She didn't like hiding certain facts of her life but it was something she had to do.

Her children would not be told, and hopefully their father would not be gone much longer so that the questions wouldn't come up. Right now they were young and only know that their daddy isn't here. That was hard enough on them, let alone finding out that he is a Sith. No it was best for everyone that this remain her own private secret.

Just then a knock on the door was heard and Raven sensed that the Nana came back with her other two darlings. The two kids ran throughout the large private chambers that had two connecting rooms that belonged to her kids as well as a small living room area that they periodically stayed in.

Both kids ran to their mother and hugged her tight. She returned the hug adding several kisses on the head and cheek area.

"It's time for you to take a nap, my precious ones. Nana will take you and your little brother too." She said with a sweet loving tone to her voice. She patted them on their way as Nana-Five picked up Cree after Raven gave him a kiss.

This gave her some time to herself. Putting on her baby blue robe, she decided to take a stroll in to the gardens. It always calmed her down and gave her peace of mind. The garden was vast as it was beautiful. The plants were in bloom and the smell was full of exotic fragrances that was pleasing to the senses.

Expanding her senses she became aware of a young girl of padawan age. The force gave her enough cognizance to know that the girl was somewhere by the lake portion of the gardens. Walking toward the area, she saw with her eye a young Twi'lek with light blue skin and deep black eyes. She was beautiful to look at, for Twi'lek females were always praised and adorn for their beauty.

"Hello, young one. What may I ask are you doing here all alone?"

She said with a curious look on her face. From what Raven could tell the girl had a lot of potential for she could feel the force flowing brightly in the young girl.

The Temple Gardens, next to the lake

Lahsong O'Toone was good at several things. Analytical thinking, problem solving, charm, and telekinesis among them. Being aware of her surroundings, however, often times was not.

As she had finished watching the insect be under her complete control, and after watching it go free, she was still caught up in the moment, and didn't notice Raven Lightstar approaching her. Raven was everything Lahsong hoped to be one day: experienced, wise, refined. When she spoke, Lahsong would hang onto every word, which was different for Lahsong. Generally, during the boring lessons and speeches some masters could get into, Lahsong would allow her mind to wander, would work on problems in the back of her head, and would compose poetry and songs. Not with Raven LIghtstar.

And so startled, Lahsong was doubly taken back.

"Master ... Mistress ... Master Lightstar," she spoke, with a slight stutter, and much uneasiness, "you honor me with your presence."

She gave a small, half bow to the honored Jedi before her, and then outstretch her hand in the direction of the insect she had just released, which put her hand over the lake, pointing to its deepest section.

"I was just ... pondering the Force, and the counterintuitive nature it sometimes takes. What brings you to the gardens?"

She waited eagerly for the response, her eyes wide open, and her leku tingling with excitement.

    IC as Sera Neyva
Corellia; Jedi Temple; First Floor, Gardens
The sunlight danced over the crystal waters of the lake, giving it an almost mischievous sparkle. A light breeze flittered past, creating gentle ripples on the cool surface. A number of younglings and padawans were playing around the lake, adding a touch of vibrancy. The lake embodied the spirit of the Jedi Order, calm, relaxed, yet playful at times.

Sera Neyva sat at the edge of the water, swirling her feet around, creating more waves. The gardens were a peaceful place, and she often visited it in the mornings before classes began. The flora and fauna were second to none in Corellia, tended to by Grand Master Rendush himself. The youngling had always marvelled at how the Master managed to juggle his numerous responsibilities, and still had time for hobbies like these. It was something she had yet to grasp; one of her many shortcomings.

Glancing at her chrono, Sera saw that it was still early. Rising, she took a few quick steps back, and then ran forward swiftly, propelling herself off the ground. Twisting her body in the air, the young girl dived headfirst into the water, causing a small splash. The water was invigorating, refreshing her. Coming to the surface, Sera let the cool droplets run off her. It was then that she noticed Council Member Vance Kar'dan standing at the banks.

The Jedi Master was a respected figure in the Order. His reputation as a swordsman was a source of constant admiration amongst the younglings, many hoping that they would have the honour of learning under him. Sera herself never harboured any illusions or high ambitions. She knew that she was just one of the many young Jedi he could choose from, and her average skills gave her no advantage over others. Moreover, the tragedy of Master Kar?dan losing his previous padawan in the manner that he did no doubt reduced the chances of him ever taking on another. She blinked, clearing her mind of the thoughts. It was not her place to think of such matters. The Council will make their decision, and she had faith in their judgement.

Looking up, Sera saw that Master Kar?dan was heading towards the lake, seemingly in her direction. He?s probably just enjoying the gardens, or going for a swim, she thought. The youngling turned and swan away, not wanting to be in the way. Heading to inspect the flowers on the other bank, Sera was taken by surprise when a deep voice spoke out, asking to join her.

She twisted back, unsure if he was addressing her. Emerald green eyes met bright blue ones. At that instant, Sera felt a slight tremor in the Force. Startled, she barely managed to stutter out a reply, ?N? no Master. Not at all. It? it would be an honour.?

    IC: Darth Insipid
    Abandoned shipyard over Fondor

It was an afterthought that he should return to pick up his lightsaber. He had numerous weapons - a lightwhip, tri-phase lightsaber and a blaster pistol - but this particular lightsaber had been his first, as an acolyte under the tutelage of his grandmother, the woman known last by the name Lomi Plo. This visit had thus turned into a humiliation, and not one he wished to visit upon his new apprentice, Damon, who had thankfully remained on Nyssa. Especially as he?d be forced to kill the young man if so.

The words were scrawled into the durasteel, and, with the perplexing fighter craft missing from the other bay of the abandoned yard, told him that Vincent Mikaru, the Templar he'd tortured and beaten as his personal plaything for over fifty years, had not been killed several hours ago.

Somewhere in time, I will find you, and haunt you again

Darth Insipid sighed. This would complicate things. Immensely. But it didn't phase him; not only were they aware of him, but he was aware of the Templars. It went both ways. The Sith had recently, at his instigation, moved to Tapani Sector, disguising themselves as Mecrosa resurrection ? the Templars had no such public façade to cling to.

What did sting was that his grandmother had used her own blood to synthesise the crystal for the lightsaber, as a gesture to the orphaned Sith. It was something he cherished, in so far as much as he understood the word. Marshalling his anger, Insipid growled deep within his throat.

He spun on his heel, and gestured behind him, negligently. The reactor, nestled deep within the yard, had a single generator of its containment field ripped clean from the others, the rest struggling to maintain the volatile plasma. In an hour or two, the reactor would destabilise and explode, and all trace of Insipid?s visit and his failure would be removed.

    As it should be.

    ---

It was a short hop back to Nyssa, the new base of operations of the Dominion of Darkness. The Tapani Lords had contacted them, influenced by their peers in the Senex sectors, and enticed the Dominion to the sector. It hadn?t been long before the Dominion had taken the roles of Lords of the Tapani, a Sith House of Lords constructed by Darth Harestich, the Dark Lord of Chaos, and the Sith now controlled the sector.

The Sith Temple was a grand old structure, pyramidal, as ever, and surrounded by high-tech and Force-related defences, usually Sithspawn of some nature. Insipid landed his personal vessel, the Rem, and departed the Solo-class combat freighter. The nearly 100-meter long vessel had been modified, of course, so Insipid could fly it alone. The concept was to have a vessel he could train apprentices in for the Dark Lord while fulfilling his missions.

When he said ?for? the Dark Lord he meant for himself, of course. He had yet to see if Damon would be of interest in his plans.

With his cloak flowing behind him, and his ankle put back into place with some unpleasant Force movements, Insipid began wondering where Damon was, idly watching the techs and dock attendants rush to refuel his ship before Insipid ?disciplined; them. The Temple had numerous Sith Holocrons that had been discovered by ?Darth Sanguinis? or found on Rakata Prime, where the Dominion had been sited for the past four decades.

The Sith Holocrons of Gorog and Darth Millennial had been provided by the former leader of the ?Sith?, back when they had been largely posturing Dark Jedi ? and unable to access the Holocrons - and the Holocrons of Darth Voren and Ajunta Pall had been discovered in a half-constructed Sith Temple on Rakata Prime. They had given the Domi

    Bastion, The Imperial Palace

Once they were allowed through, Zayl marched through the door to the throne room with the stormtrooper - Norn - who had also been called by Emperor Fel for...Zayl wasn't sure for what yet.

Royal Guards, Stormtroopers, and fellow Imperial Knights passed by when Zayl entered the throne room, his cape trailing behind him, his hands hanging at his sides to show them clear of any of the weapons such as his lightsaber and long-bladed vibrodagger that hung from his belt. He was dressed in full Imperial Knight uniform, with his cape, the gauntlets that encased his hands with the right one being made of pure cortosis, and of course the crimson armor that had some semblance to the armor worn by the Royal Guards.

There was only him, the stormtrooper, and the Emperor when Zayl stopped in front of the seated Emperor before going down on one knee as was custom, bowing his head and resting his arms upon his knee to further show that he was indeed currently unarmed. Even though he had been accepted into the Imperial Knights, Zayl wasn't exactly naive to the fact that he had been a Jedi before, that the Jedi had been all that there was in his life as he had no memories of any other, and that others knew it such as his fellow apprentices that had made the occasional jeer at him during his training.

Which was why the fact that Emperor Fel had called for his presence was a little confusing to the young Knight. He didn't make any move, just stayed in his kneeling position, but the question was rolling around in his mind, a last minute pondering before the Emperor would begin the session and say what, exactly, was in store for him.

Rani?s face was taught and stern with concentration as her arms and legs moved with speed and fluidity. She blocked her masters? quick precise moves and parried when she could. At times, she could feel herself losing it. But then, something inside her brain would click, and she just moved, the Force flowing through her, helping her predict what her next move would be. She became more confident, and when she did her face and body calmed, but her concentration remained.

She began to get the upper-hand on her master and drove him back. She was smart enough to know that it wouldn?t be enough and she wouldn?t last long. But she had to show him that she could improve and that she could learn. She needed to experience what it was like, and what it took to be in a duel and come out the victor-come out of the fight with her life.

Her master twirled his lightsaber in front of his torso and Rani saw him prepare for a jab at the torso. But at the last second he did the unexpected- he swung his lightsaber wide to swipe at her torso instead. She barely deflected his attacked and twisted her way out of danger-just in time.

Her master wasn?t going easy on her anymore. He was becoming more aggressive, a fighting style she didn?t personally like, and being inexperienced it was wearing her down. She was sweating profusely; she made a mental note to work more on her fitness as well as her lightsaber skills.

Master Rendush was barraging Rani?s defences, but she kept going keeping her opponent away. Finally, he aimed a powerful strike at her chest intending to end the fight. But to his (and her) surprise she blocked it at the last moment, the Force flowing through her with a power she had never felt before. It was exhilarating.
Her hold against her masters? blade was faltering under the effort of keeping a powerful master at bay, but she was determined to hold on.

"You look exceptionally beautiful this morning", Master Rendush suddenly said.

Rani was caught off-guard, blinked with confusion and had to take a second to register what had just been said. This was enough of a distraction. Suddenly her lightsaber was flicked out of her hands and a red blade was humming right next to her neck. Her face crunched up in irritation and anger. She had fallen into the trap.

    Her master spoke.

"Very good, Rain. You did exceptionally well. Just be careful about being distracted. Your opponent will do anything to break your concentration. It won't always be compliments, but beware. Distractions are fatal."

He bowed and she bowed back?before she let it rip.

?Excuse me master?, she said loudly and with force, ?I know you are my superior, and I understand you were trying to teach me a valuable lesson. But I insist you refrain from using the suggestive and familiar language you use with your other female companions. I don?t mind what you do in your free time, but I appreciate it if you didn?t bring any of it into my training.?

She was so diverted by what he had said, it almost infuriated her but she kept it at bay, the Living Force constantly flowing through her. Whether it was a joke or not, she refused to let her master get away with behaviour like this. He had done it before and she had let it slide. But she didn?t like it, and she would feel more comfortable if he understood this.

She waited patiently across from him, hand on her hip, trying to read his face to see how he would react and what would result from her statement. She hoped she hadn?t been too harsh.

Apparently the approach of a Jedi Master caused younglings to scatter. Sera had ended up some distance away by the time he had arrived. It was difficult to stifle a chuckle at her surprise and resultant stuttering. Deciding to hide this fact, Vance dived into the water, executing a perfect flip before hitting the water with the splash of a much smaller individual. The laugh escaped while he was underwater, resulting in a small explosion of bubbles. By the time Blade had surfaced there was nothing but Jedi calm about him.

Kicking over to Sera, "There's no need to be nervous. I don't bite, honest." The Corellian smiled, it was vaguely lopsided and meant to either relax or make the youngling laugh inspite of herself. That was one thing he'd normally been good at. After a second Vance flipped onto his back, and simply floated there using simple physics over the Force. Relaxing in a more childish fashion was something he had desperately needed, and only then noticed. "Thank you for letting me join you." It escaped as barely a whisper, "It has been a long time since anyone has." This was an oddly vulnerable and open moment to a youngling, and as such he wasn't expecting much of a response.

Looking at her through hooded eyes, Vance absently flicked one of his hands hands above the water, splashing the youngling very obviously with the Force. Splash wars had been one of his favorite things to do as a youngling, and the rules were strict. Any use of the Force resulted in a ducking, and they were thoroughly enforced, even under suspicion. Well known were those rules, and he was hoping that Sera would enforce them now. An impish grin stretched across Kar'dans's face, almost daring her to do so. In a way it was a test, as he would not take on someone who was undaring.

Norn marched, side by side with an Imperial Knight, towards the Emperor. Normally he'd be clad in his armor, but in instances like this he donned his Dress Uniform. A set of jet black pants and shirt with the Imperial seal on the left shoulder, and the 501st's on the right. His left breast was adorned with few medals, as conflict had not been an interest in recent years. He did bear the meritorious service awards for both Command and Special Operations.

His hair was slicked back, though longer than most it was within regulation, he kept it at length to be able to blend in with a crowd if he needed to during a mission. When the Knight came to a stop, Norn did so as well, and in turn dropped down to one knee and bowed his head. He had to research the exact code of conduct for such a meeting with the Emperor and it seemed that to kneel and lower ones head in respect was the proper protocol.

His mind began to wander though, Why has the Emperor summoned me?, Has a conflict arisen?, Where will I be deployed?. Mentally Norn shook his head, and pushed aside all these thoughts. It was not his place to wonder or question. It was his place to take orders for the Empire, and fulfill them to the best of his ability till he was unable to do so any longer. That was why he was here.

But I insist you refrain from using the suggestive and familiar language you use with your other female companions. I don?t mind what you do in your free time, but I appreciate it if you didn?t bring any of it into my training.?

Alexander stood there staring at her for a long moment. His face had a very odd expression. Before, his body began to shake slightly. While Rani may not be able to perceive what this reaction meant, he was in fact trying very hard to hold back laughter. He failed, and the laughter came rolling out of him. He felt bad, at the same time, for she no doubt thought he was laughing at her, when in actuality he was not.

He finally pulled himself under control, and as the laughter subsided, he spoke, a laugh still on his voice. ?I?m sorry, Rain. It?s just, only you would say that?.? He looked up at her, a smile playing on his face. ?It?s a simple truth, you know. You are a beautiful young lady, and that was all there was to that comment along with me teaching you a lesson. There was no other motive or intimation to be made.?

Now Alexander stood completely again, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. He had gained control again, and now was serious. ?I am glad that you feel so open with me, and I encourage that. Input from you is much appreciated, as I am relatively new at this. However, I am not only your superior but your master, and it is my responsibility to ensure you are prepared not only for the Trials, but for serving and surviving in the Order after that. I apologize for making you uncomfortable, and I will oblige you by refraining from such suggestive and familiar language.? He paused, staring into her eyes for a moment.

?One last lesson today: this life is not comfortable. The first time you are facing your opponent, and he has forced you to kill him or be killed is not comfortable. The loss of a close friend or even your padawan, is not comfortable. Having to choose between what you want and what is best for the Order offers no comfort either. This is one thing I must teach you. You will be forced into situations where you are not comfortable. You must learn how to properly react to this. I will in the end do what I feel to be best in order to get you prepared for life. Not out of spite for you, but out of love and a desire to see you succeed. I can?t bear to lose another padawan, so I will do all I feel is necessary in your training.? He fell silent and let that sink in. His eyes became distant as he thought about his last padawan.

It only lasted a second, as he shook his head and came back to the present. ?However, I mean not to sound harsh.? He brightened considerably. ?And if there is no more issue here, we might as well move on.? He smiled, hoping he?d not upset her too much. ?I have a Council Meeting to prepare for. Now, what to do with you?? He trailed off, folding his arms and resting a hand on his chin, pretending to think. ?I got it. You need to train while I am busy with the Council.? He paused for effect. ?There are bounc ot be some nice young men who would be more than willing to spar with you. And the gardens seem to be a popular spot for padawans and younglings to go and meditate to increase their connection to the Force. And I see a lot of young ones at the archives. Perhaps there is some good research to be done.?

In an attempt to ease the tension, Alex had been less serious than he could have been. In a round-about way, he released her to do whatever she wished while he was gone. ?I?ll leave you to? train, then. I?ll come and get you when I am done to check on your progress.? He stopped and waited to see how she would react.

This is the the TDS Perlemian Way Station. From refuel and resupply of ships, to access to sleeping quarters for the weary, to an entertainment promenade complete with food delivery to ships within a 30 minute hyperspace jump.

They also offer various forms of equipment and small starships, for relatively reasonable fees. From a completely rebuilt ship built from the body of a Clone Wars classic, the Eta-2 Actis, to a 70 meter defense corvette. They also offer refits, ion engines, and small arms to those that need them. Should a convoy need escort they offer both space, air, and ground protective services, and on-ship bodyguard services. While an apparent new face in the Galaxy TDS seems to be more than willing to extend their services to anyone with a need and the means, but even then, their prices are more than reasonable.

OOC:Templar Technical Defense Systems is the public side of the Templars of Twilight. Its a method for them to keep an eye on the Galaxy, and maintain a steady supply of funds. Obviously the fact that its ran by the Templars isn't known, as few know about the Templars outside their group. Many TDS employees don't know about the Templars either. Greyst Denali and Dade Leviathan
Temple of Twilight Training Halls; Zonama Sekot

"Moral?" Greyst asked somberly, "No moral. It is the simple reason that Insipid will not care if you are fit to fight or not. If you are not, he will simply press that advantage. We will not give you any respite here, because Insipid will give you none. Kage Leviathan has made it clear that you either fight insipid fully prepared, or not at all. And you will not be fully prepared if you expect us to coddle you. Your body will heal, but you will not find your training pleasant. We will give you no quarter, for Insipid will give you any."

"Of course we will not force you to do this," Dade said, his voice seeming almost disembodied before he relaxed his mind the next second and his body appeared, the energy making himself invisible dissipating. "You will face Insipid when you are ready. If you are not ready when the time comes, then you will not face him. You have emotional ties to insipid, so you must let this energy help you, not control you. Greyst will train you in lightsaber combat, and I will train you in the force. Hopefully with our training, and if you are disciplined enough, you will be prepared enough to face him with a good chance of emerging victorious. Once Insipid finds out that you have escaped, he will realize the danger you pose if you manage to contact us again, as you have. He will not..."

The comm unit clipped to Dade's belt suddenly chirped before he could finish his sentence. Sighing, he picked the comm up and flicked it on. "This better be good," he said, hoping for the callers sake, that it wasn't some needless thing they could have contacted another master for. "Father, its your son, Kas from Fondor. I have a few things I would like to tell Toni, is she there?" The voice was crisp and clear, and most those close to Dade would know he didn't have any children. But Dade took the message in stride, holding up his hand to Vincent and Greyst for them to wait for him, and then moving to the edge of the room where neither would hear him.

"I'm sorry Kas," Dade said into the comm, "But Toni isn't here at the moment. Can a relay the message for you?"

"Thank you Father, I would appreciate that. She would be interested to know that the location she had sent word about has been taken away. The previous owner apparently decided to sell it to the stars a few days ago. My new friends saw the tracks of his speeder and have followed them in hopes of asking him if he owns anything else Toni might be interested in. Send Toni my love and tell her that I will call her with any more information I find."

"I will son. I will let her know immediately. Take care of yourself and keep in touch."

    "I will Father. Thank you."

With the last words, the comm shut off as quickly as it had rang and Dade clipped it back onto his belt with a sigh as he made his way back to Greyst and Vincent. "That was TONI's agent in the government of Fondor. The orbital shipyard that you came from," he nodded to Vincent, "has just been destroyed. Insipid must have figured that you would warn us about it. Apparently he didn't think ahead to the fact that the Fondorian government wouldn't exactly miss an ordbital shipyard blowing up in their sector. They're currently tracking the traces that his ship left. The agent will contact me again when they find out which direction he left in, and if its possible to track him further than that." He sighed again as he slowly removed his cloak and folded it, placing it on a nearby bench. "This means that he knows of your disappearance, and also knows that you have most likely come to us. I would assume he will start making preparations to defend himself, or if he is bold enough, try and attack us. Obviously the second choice would be folly as he would be hard pressed to find Sekot before we caught onto the fact that he began looking, but that doesn't mean there isn't a chance of him trying."

Unhooking his lightsaber, Dade handed it to Greyst, who hooked it on his belt with his own. "You have

Vincent listened quietly to what Greyst and Dade said, he didn't speak up with the fact that he was unlikely, no mater how angry, to seek out Insipid after just rising from a Bacta tank. He'd not even slept yet, eaten a full meal, or constructed the second lightsaber he'd need to use his form to its potential. No, he knew they knew that, their knowing that wasn't the point, what they were saying was. So he listened.

His fist tightened slightly when Dade said he would use morichro on him, it unsettled him, but it was a necessary evil. He watched as Dade held his hand out, and felt his heart skip a beat. Fifty two years with only ones mind for company leads one to think, and a good deal of that thinking was what to do the next time he'd come across Insipid. He wasn't able to do it in his last encounter, and had to improvise, but now, he could. He wrapped the Force around him, like a shield, to block the morichro, and it did nothing. So he continued to listen to Dade.

?I know this feeling all to well Dade.? He said slowly, concentrating on the feeling, trying to not let the anger of reliving his nightmares over again. ?This is the fourth time its been used on me, I'm very familiar with the feeling now. That was one way how I escaped. I felt it starting, was unable to stop it, so I faked my death.?

While he talked, Vincent did as Dade said, and focused. He focused on making his self stronger, maintaining his heart beat, keeping his breath at a deep and steady rate. He used all his will power, all his power in the Force into pushing Dade's power over him, the power of morichro, out of him, like an antibody purging the system of a virus.

Corellia; Jedi Temple; First Floor Gardens, Lake

Sera watched dumbly as the Jedi Master dived gracefully into the water. Her mind was still disconnected, a consequence of the strange Force experience she had, and Master Kar?dan?s unexpected joining. Ok, so I was wrong. But what could a Jedi Master want with me? I don?t have anything to offer? Her thoughts were broken into by a series of bubbles erupting from underneath, followed by a lithe form breaking the surface. The youngling steadied herself. Engaging Master Kar?dan in that state could only result in her embarrassing herself. Then again, it was going to be a mortifying experience anyway.

"There's no need to be nervous. I don't bite, honest." The older Jedi swam over, flashing a crooked grin. The expression tickled the girl, who was unable to stifle her giggles. She gently skimmed the water with her hand, as Master Kar?dan flipped to float on the water. The surface was disturbed only minimally, leading Sera to suspect he was using the Force to support himself. Force-usage amongst younglings was strictly regulated, and anyone who misused it was severely punished. Sera had almost gotten into trouble for it herself, rescued only by the intervention of a more permissive Master.

She looked up as Master Kar?dan spoke again, his voice so low the youngling had to strain to catch the words. His tone was soft, and the feeling in his eyes as it locked with hers gave off a hint of vulnerability. Sera nodded silently, unsure of how to respond. She was saved by a spray of water cascading onto her, leaving her sputtering. The young Jedi stared up at the Master, eyebrow raised in slight amusement. A grin split his face, challenging her to react.

Turning away, Sera suppressed a smile. Taking a deep breath, she submerged, her feet propelling her forward. She swung around, swimming in the direction of the Jedi Master. As she came up under him, she thrust herself upwards, aiming at the left side of the floating figure. She contacted him solidly, hoping to pitch the Master sideways. Gasping as rose out of the water, Sera looked over at Master Kar?dan, laughing gently.

As Rani waited for a response, he began to laugh! She looked incredulous and was starting to get upset and hurt that he would laugh at her!

?I?m sorry, Rain. It?s just, only you would say that??, he said when he had finished laughing.
?It?s a simple truth, you know. You are a beautiful young lady, and that was all there was to that comment along with me teaching you a lesson. There was no other motive or intimation to be made.?

She made subtle face at this comment, not believing what he said. She hoped he wouldn?t see it. She respected and loved her master, but at times she didn?t like the choices he made.

However, she was surprised when he kept talking?

?One last lesson today: this life is not comfortable??, and he continued, lecturing, teaching, sharing. He said life wasn?t comfortable and that he was intent on learning that no matter how he went about it.
?I can?t bear to lose another padawan, so I will do all I feel is necessary in your training.?
Rani saw the pain in his face as he recalled the memory. The conversation had taken a turn she didn?t expect and she felt empathetic towards her master.

It didn?t last long, and her master continued. He gave her some options as to what she could do next and after saying, ?I?ll leave you to? train, then. I?ll come and get you when I am done to check on your progress?, he left to go to the Council Meeting.

She stood for a few moments reflecting on what happened and what had been said. She realised how wise her master was, no matter his strange methods, and she should take the lessons he wanted to impart on her.
She turned and left the sparring room heading out the frosted doors, and walked with her confident stride down the hallway to the turbolift. She pressed the button and waited for it to come down to her floor. She took it up to the third floor dormitories and walked to her own compartment. She showered and changed into her robes and decided to go up to the archives.

The archive was one of her favourite places in the temple. She loved the smell of more than 20 billion data disks, humming on the shelves as they glowed on her face while she read at a viewing station. After training so hard she wanted the chance to relax. So she made her way into the archives, nodded to the librarian and made her way to an index. She chose a subject and started browsing through the titles.
Something jumped out at her: The Yuuzhan Vong Wars. It was a gigantic data disk; a lot had happened during the war and it had lasted many years. She was always fuzzy on the details, and even though it had occurred way before her lifetime it was still affecting the galaxy now. She felt she should read up on this some more, take some notes. It might come in handy one day.

She clicked on it, a small docket printed out and she took it up to the librarian, who walked off unnaturally fast and was back within 20 seconds with the correct data disk- the librarians efficiency never ceased to amaze her.

She carried the disk to a viewing station and plugged it in, taking out a data pad while she waited for it to load. The screen then glowed, and she started reading?

Dade could feel Vincent pushing back against the power, and pushing Dade's power back, and Dade could feel him succeeding. "Good, you are focusing upon the effect rather than power Vincent. Focus upon the effects, not the power. Focus on making your body the opposite of the effects. Only then will you be able to defend yourself against it." With that, he clenched his hand slightly, pushing a more intense form of morichro upon Vincent which would make him even weaker and start to slow his breathing and his heart rate.

"You are nearing the second stage of Morichro. In the second stage, your heart will eventually start to slow, and by the end of the second stage it will have slowed at least by 15%, at which point it will be impossible to defend yourself from the power because you will not have any of the strength reserves left. Remember these effects, because once you start to feel them, you will only have a minute or two before you will be utterly powerless to defend yourself against Morichro. Now remember to focus on the effects Vincent, as you have been doing. Push the effects away from your body as if cleansing your body from the inside out. Focus on making your muscles strong, not weak, your heart faster, not slower, your breathing steady, not slowing down. Focus with all your might. Do not talk, do not think about what other people are doing. Just focus on defending yourself and purging yourself of the effects of this ability."

Dade stood nearer to Vincent and motioned to Greyst to stand up should Vincent fail and fall to the ground.

Vincent cleared his mind of all other thoughts save Insipid, and keeping his muscles, breathing and heart rate at the normal levels. The thoughts of Insipid fueled his anger, and thus fueled his efforts. He felt his heart rate return to normal, in fact he felt it increase due to adrenalin. His breathing remained deep and calm, neither slowing nor becoming taxed to maintain his oxygen level. And his Muscles, while currently weaker than they had been when he was '52 years younger' felt strong, and not tired.

Vincent, confident in his current ability to defend himself split a section of his concentration to thinking about what to do next. He remembered what Insipid did the first two times he used the power on him. He began to move closer, as if he required himself to be closer for the power to work more effective. Dade was doing the same thing, he could feel it. Dade had quite the presence that one really didn't need to look for to feel if he wasn't concealing himself.

Vincent knew, that being able defend himself from morichro was only half the battle. He'd need to also be able to defend himself from outside attacks at the same time. But he knew he wouldn't be able to master that in a day, even at his age, knowledge and skill he would be lucky to master it in a month. But he could start today, but he'd have to start small.

Continuing to maintain himself Vincent opened his eyes, and took a step forward. He didn't feel any change in himself so he took another step. That brought a change, he felt his heartbeat begin to slow again, so he concentrated a bit more on that. After a moment he began walking again, within a few minutes he had circled Dade twice. It was mentally straining, and it was starting to take its toll, but that was to be expected on the first day of training. He however didn't want to stop until Dade did, so he kept walking, and kept concentrating.

Vincent was making good progress, he was still apparently concentrating extremely hard, even with this small amount of effects wearing on him. They would indeed need to focus on this part of his training the most. "You will find that you must match your concentration with the concentration of your opponent. Unlike most force powers, force potential does not matter as much as concentration here. Whoever has more willpower is going to have the upper hand here." Dade then clenched his fist hard, flooding Vincent's body with a surge of morichro. "This is what you will most likely feel when Insipid attacks you. He will not go easy on you as I have. You have roughly one minute to defend against this power before you are helpless, let us see how you do."

Dade wasn't using his full power, he wasn't a fool. Using his full power would probably put Vincent into a coma, given the fact that had been asleep for nearly fifty years. But he flooded Vincent's body with enough effects to truly make him remember the event, whether he succeeded in pushing them off or not. In truth, Dade doubted Vincent would be able to defend himself against such a surge so quickly, but he wanted Vincent to know how it felt. He knew that Vincent knew how it felt, but in other situations, it wasn't a case of being in a safe place with allies and having the liberty to sit still and remember every nuance of the effects he was being put under.

Greyst, patient as Always, moved slightly closer to Vincent, in case the Echani should fall. The last thing they wanted was Vincent cracking his head on the floor of the training hall.

Vincent's body froze in place, had his left leg not slid out to stabilize his weight he probably would have fell right away. It felt like the world was closing in around him, he tried to clear his mind, to focus harder on maintaining his vitals but he couldn't. It was like he wasn't even trying. He felt his heart beat slow every other beat, and then the images.

They swirled through his head like phantom images, haunting his very being. The Darkness, the laughter, the insults, the pain, the agony, the suffering. All of it, 52 years in 2 seconds, not his life flashing before his eyes, no, but the life that had been stolen from him. No! Not again! I can't let this happen again!.

His anger flared, and swelled in him, his adrenalin surged, and he reached out and grabbed Dade's tunic and pulled himself up a little closer to Dade's face though at the moment he only saw Insipid, ?I will fight you...? His voice was weak, but the tone was serious. His breathing leveled out, but it didn't rise, the same with his heart beat.

He'd stopped it form slowing, but was not able to return it to normal. ?I won't... I won't...? His voice wavered and his eyes lost their focus, he slipped down to one knee, and his gripped on Dade's tunic loosened. His concentration wavered, unable to keep up with the pressure Dade's morichro was putting on him. ?I won't let you... not again...?
