"The question is are YOU ready to retake the command center."

"Sir, always ready," Adenn replied simply, the only answer a clone trooper such as him was allowed to give. Well, when higher ranked officers weren't in hearing distance anyway; the veteran still remembered Cagi.

"Any further details on the Command Center? We don't want to be caugth with our pants down again."

Adenn looked from Allan and to the eight other Stormtroopers that were with them. Ten Stormtroopers, one injured, against whatever may be waiting for them in the Command Center. If anything, they may still have the element of surprise. With the Kaminoans seeming to have pushed the Imperial forces back up and getitng their act back together, they may not be expecting some remaining elements to strike back so soon.

"Troop numbers when you were forced to retreat," Adenn specified for Allan to the Stormtroopers. Holding his DC-15 at the ready, Adenn started moving to where the Command Center was located, intent on carrying out an assault as soon as possible. The sooner they attacked, the better chance they had to catch the defenders as unprepared as they could be. "Equipment that they had. You can inform us on the way there."

As was expected, the conversation with Badure hadn't gone exactly as planned and it wasn't long before Rehyn found himself pinching the flesh between his eyes to ease the headache that was steadily building. The man was impossible to talk to and he half wondered just what Cappie saw in such a person to allow him to tag along with her. He certainly wasn't her type, unless of course, her tastes have changed over the years. It was possible, sure, but Rehyn didn't want to delve into those details.

"'Bout time you showed up," Rehyn sighed as the old woman returned, grateful for the distraction. Without turning to make eye contact with Cappie, he reached back and took the whiskey bottle into his grip. He idly noted that the dark liquid inside was lower than the last time he had touched it, but that didn't matter in the least as he brought the bottle to his lips and took a long sip.

"Hey, Rehyn, what did you need to do on Sentren II before you rescued us anyway?" she asked suddenly, almost in a cheery voice.

In that moment, the burning sensation of the whiskey as it traveled down his throat no longer felt desirable and he choked. Bolting forward, Rehyn fell into a fit of coughing as he struggled to keep the amber liquid from spraying all over the computer console in front of him. That wasn't exactly the question he was expecting. And now thanks to his wonderful display of talents, he looked more guilty than ever.

"Just, uh..." he paused, clearing his throat as he regained his composure and forced his gaze on her. "Just a business transaction. All sanctified by the Hutts, of course. I wouldn't do it any other way."

Or was it? That's the question he kept asking himself and maybe part of the reason why he felt that guilt. Just what was he getting himself into?

    Gender: Male

    Height: 5'

Appearance: Black fur with small white streaks.

    Affiliation: Fringe

    Allegiance: Neutral

    Rank: Pirate Captain

Weapons: Heavy blaster pistol, CR-24 Flame Rifle

Personal ship: YV-929 named The Shadow. Four crew members including the Captain

    [image=http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/thumb/7/7b/YV-929.jpg/250px-YV-929.jpg]

Bio: Tresk Lew'asala was born 46 BBY on the relatively peaceful, cosmopolitan planet of Bothuwai of clan Asala and family Lew. Asala clan wasn't an especially large clan, but were Bothans nonetheless. Tresk was raised in the "Bothan Way" like all of his bretheren. Learning that the pursuit of power and influence was of the utmost importance. Information led to power, power led to influence, influence brought credits. At the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Bothuwai even though officially neutral, was not oblivious to outside knowledge. Tresk, now at the age of 24, sought adventure and wanted to experience life off his home planet...though it had lots to offer. Bothans knew more than any other race how many credits could be made on the black market during times of war. Allying with three other friends, Tresk bought an old rusty freighter and began his career as a pirate. Seeking abandoned worlds, moons, ships, and any other interesting information he came across in the pirate underworld. After a major battle near the end of the Clone War, Tresk and his crew discovered an abandoned YV-929 on the Mid Rim world called Haruun Kal that was still in perfect condition. The Corellian armed freighter looked to have been left in a hurry because clothing items, weapons, and sensitive information was still onboard and in the hyperdrive nav-computer. Tresk and his crew decided to call it simply The Shadow.

During this time as the Empire strengthens its dark grip on the galaxy, Tresk simply wishes to make his way in the galaxy. Not exactly anti-Imperial...but he doesn't defend their actions either. He lives by the law of credits, meaning whoever gives them, earns his hand. No matter if they were Imperials or anti-imperials. Credits held no alliegence. And neither did Tresk Lew'asala.

    Name: Zisz

    Age: 28

    Species: Verpine

    Planet of Birth: Roche asteroids

Gender: N/A, prefers to use masculine descriptions of himself

Appearance: The typical Verpine, Zisz stands at 5 and a half feet tall, and weighs a hundred pounds. Extremely thin, Zisz often wears clothing much too large for his frame, robes , cloaks, ect, often to distract from his insect appearance. He is slightly paler than the average Verpine, making him an extremely light green. His two antennae are tiny, standing at only 4 inches at the side of his large compact black eyes.

    Affiliation: Jedi

    Allegiance: Empire

Rank: High Inquisitor/ Formely Jedi Padawan

Weapons: Red Lightsaber, has both Ion and Sonic Grenades

Personal Ship: YV-100, Reminisce VI or normal Imperial Shuttles on official bussiness

    Bio:

Like all Verpine, Zisz was born on the Roche asteroids, and like many was expected to become one of many shipwrights. For many years in fact he was one for many years. Like all he was used to see humans and others go through and fro Roche when needing technical assistance. He often was sent as a liaison to humans, along with Orsx his friend, to explain the technical details of each sold to their clients, in case any difficulties arrised, a new plant or factory owned by them outside Roche opened up, or anyone was buying in bulk. It wasn?t until the onset of the Clone Wars his and Orsx?s force abilities where discovered by a Jedi inspecting a shipload of ion blasters. They where both sent to the Jedi Temple despite their age due to the promising abilty in the force

Being trained by Kass Thorath, a stern Zabrak was a rigorous process that Zisz would not enjoy. He gained power, knowledge, and everything else the Jedi offered him, but he always felt like he was lacking something while there. It certainly wasn?t emotion, as Zisz was always considered quite cold and methodical compared to his hot blooded compatriot, to the point where he distained using his lightsaber at all, preferring to use his abilities in the force.

Because of this, Zisz was never given the chance to participate in the Jedi Trails when Order 66 was issued. When it was, Zisz survived sheer luck, or destiny, as he was captured by the CIS and his Clone Contingent was killed. After the fall of CIS, Zisz escaped his detainment and searched for his friend Orsx, who at this time had surprisingly become a master, assured that he survived. Before he could however, he was met by the Empire?s new established Inquisitorius, and after a brief period fell to the Dark Side, after cold bloodily killing of one his capturers.

There he seemed to flourish, rising up the ranks quickly, now seeming to be at peace with himself. With what training they had provided him, he set out to find out his old friend to either kill him, or turn him to the dark side. Unfortunately he was unable to do either, as Orsx proved to be too powerful for him, defeating him in combat at their former home of Rouche. Luckily for himself, he managed to keep his rank and title after the Battle of Naboo, proving his skills in the Force to be quite useful.

To this day he seeks out Orsx, knowing his former friend to still be alive, hoping for the day he could find the chance to get his revenge.

    Aboard the Mathayus, Kamino orbit

    ?Status report.?

Admiral Coy considered which to give to the Dark Lord first. The Empire had received reports of skirmishes at Ando and Arkania flaring up, and even a strike at Anaxes, deep in the Imperial Core. The violence was spreading, but there didn?t seem to be an obvious base of operations ? Kamino had fallen. Coy swallowed, knowing the Dark Lord would be most displeased.

?Sir, a clone detachment has been dispatched to advance upon the command center. The planetary defences have been once again subdued, and we?ve made sure not to leave anything intact this time in-case the same action is launched again.?

As if on cue, seventeen Acclamator-class assault ships decanted from hyperspace. ?Lord Vader! Seventeen enemy Acclamators have arrived in-system!? Six of the newly arrived ships began spewing old Vulture droid starfighters, a swarm that was more than enough to overwhelm the Devastator and Mathayus, and the numerous Carrack-class cruisers.

?Sir, there?s only going to be a few minutes before the enemy arrives. I suggest that we evacuate with whatever we can, my Lord.?

Taun We, standing next to Fett and Vader, shook her flowing head. They had struck. No surprises here. Vader remained one of the few threats to their act. When the fissioning began? the Apocalypse would truly follow.

"Any further details on the Command Center? We don't want to be caught with our pants down again."

As Adenn led the movement towards the Command Center, the injured Stormtrooper pulled out a datapad, and began tapping, addressing Allan. ?Sir, this is an estimate of the clones we?ve killed or encountered. By these counts there are no more than fifteen clones under the Prime Ministers command. If there were more, we?d have seen them by now. It is possible to say that this is, quite literally, the last enemy clone force.?

A schematic of the command center appeared above them as the holoproj. Activated ? a snapshot taken by a clone camera over thirty six hours. Dozens of clone tubes were destroyed, with wreckage strewn throughout the circular room from consoles destroyed by Fett. A single tunnel led into the room, typically, though there was a transparisteel window overlooking the clone centres ? a route which would have considerably more cover in the form of cloning columns and the like. When the first charge had been launched, the Empire didn?t need to worry about such things as numbers. Now they did.

?I suggest we make our way through the cloning centre, sir. We can hide behind the most developed clones, use them as shields.?

?Come on, it won?t take them long to find out where those shots came from,? K?Kruhk was impressed by how Kay had taken advantage of the situation. The enemy seemed determined to make sure that everyone was killed before bombarding a particular district, a highly strange response.

K?Kruhk began to piece together that something was going on. ?Kay, we need to make it to the main command room. We need to warn the Empire. This slaughter has nothing to do with Vader. It can?t, not for their own forces to be suffering.?

K?Kruhk led the way, no more versed in locating the command centre than Kay, but the Jedi Master felt he needed to take point on this. Sure enough, as they reached the command centre, practically without warning within the Force, an elderly AT-XT rounded the corner and began dropping fire at their backs, finned-helmeted clones rappelling down lines. More than two dozen, and of course the walker ? quite a large amount to

Minos Fel?Kona knew returning to the Cularin system was a mistake, but hadn?t anticipated how quickly he would be spotted. But with rumours of several Holocrons surfacing in-system in the last few years, Minos knew he had to make sure that no other artefacts were discovered by the Empire. With a scowl, Minos grabbed at a stall filled within fruit in the market, and tossed the fruit at the Verpine.

    IC: Kay Koda
    Ithaqua Station/Toola/Outer Rim

The two Jedi made their way out of the apartment building and out onto the rubble-covered streets of Ithaqua station, streets that were once beautiful and bustling with traders and shops, but now it had been decimated by the bombarding. Some shops and buildings that had once stood stories in the air were now only a couple of stories tall. Kay and K?Kruhk tried to navigate their way through the streets that had vastly changed since the attack. Ash floated through the air, taking on the appearance of snow falling lightly over the city.

?Kay, we need to make it to the main command room. We need to warn the Empire. This slaughter has nothing to do with Vader. It can?t, not for their own forces to be suffering.? Kay followed K?Kruhk, who insisted on taking point once on the streets.

Well at least it was a plan, though Kay. Though it wasn?t his favorite plan, they being Jedi and calling in the Empire for help and risk compromising his identity was the last thing that Kay wanted to do, but under the circumstances it was the only substantial plan. After all they were only two Jedi in a city that spanned five miles, and the chances of them single-handedly fending off this clone army by themselves was little to none. If they wanted to survive they needed support from the Empire. The only reason that the Imperials on Toola were being decimated was because they did not have a proficient amount of armor and support, only a garrison of stormtroopers.

They ran through the streets, ducking in and out of cover, making sure to not give a nice opportunity for a sniper. The two Jedi encountered little resistance; only a few patrols that they hid from and let pass by, choosing to pick their battles. But soon their luck of choosing battles ran out when they rounded a corner the same time as an old AT-XT. The old walker turned and unleashed a full arsenal of weaponry upon the two Jedi. Luckily his aim was off and the rounds from the twin laser cannons. Both Kay and K?Kruhk dodged back behind the wall, the cannon rounds ripping through the wall. K?Kruhk leaned towards Kay.

?Kay. I?ll deal with the walker. You need to get to the command center. Reach out ? there are no more clones between here and the holoprojector. Tell the Empire, so these murderers can be brought to justice.? Said the Jedi Master.

Kay didn?t like the idea of leaving a fellow Jedi behind to face a substantial amount of enemies all by themselves, but he knew what had to be done. He had to get through to the Empire and get help. Kay simply looked at the Jedi Master who had saved his life many times over these past few days. Kay took off his cloak and dropped it to the ground, preferring not to wear it on a long run, especially if clone troopers were going to be shooting at him. With another nod to K?Kruhk, Kay took off running, going through the old bombed out storefronts, which gave him a little cover. Soon Kay drew the attention of the clone troopers, who opened fire into the stores, but no blaster bolt hit him, and soon he had broken through their lines and was soon out of the clone?s sight. Now he had only about a quarter mile to run to the command center, where he could call for help.

Lord Kya, in his usual manner, rolled his eyes. He had an enviable ease among all this Imperial harshness. ?Kortva seems rather stressed, doesn?t he? So too does Quest. I do wonder what is going on??

As Kya spoke, Trachta noticed one of the clones following behind moving in closer, and he felt an object pressed against the small of his back. A moment of panic, but Trachta worked doublly hard to recover and conceal it. When he wasn't blasted away, he relaxed some, reaching behind him. His hand closed around something definitely not the barrel of a blaster, what seemed to be...a datapad? As he grasped it, the clone's grip relaxed. A hand-off, then. Trachta, slipped the datapad under his tunic, behind the waistband of his uniform pants. He laughed.

"What's going on? My good boy, haven't you heard? There's a war going on. We're the Empire, Lord Kya: we've been at war for eleven years."

Arden was pondering the origin of the man with the crescent-shaped hat, and how she had been thrown back into politics so soon after escaping them. She hadn?t even had the chance to see if her family was alive. Perhaps, that was better for them, though.

The ship that was meant to take Arden to the Sentren system, apparently, had another passenger. A dark-skinned man, was leaning against a shuttle in obvious disrepair. Arden slipped the datapad onto a slip on her belt and approached the man. He asked, ?So, he got you too??

Arden nodded cautiously. She stopped about ten meters away from the man. She had no blaster, so if this man turned out to be hostile, she might be in trouble. She asked, ?Is this a anonymous mission, or should we introduce ourselves, stranger??

?Have fun, Tagg.? Recce looked back, clearly amused.

Tagg grinned as he took the detonator in his hand hefting it a few times before setting to push the button when Reece interupted, not that the clone didn't have something important to point out.

?Don?t get too carried away. The orbiting Acclamator is on the run, heading this way. The clonemasters are safe, it looks.? Recce pointed forward, ?Look at that!?

And what a view he was pointing out, the enemy Acclamator was coming this way, and hot. The vessel had dove into orbit fast, its lower hull burning orange from re-entry. A barrage poured down on the clone trooper ranks, incinerating them. And then, it pulled off. The other Acclamator began to pull up, the two vessels closing together as they moved to escape. He waited breathing in deep slow breaths, waiting as the prey grew closer together for their exit. Feeling the tension build and his distort as red became the predominate color in his vision as his hunter instincts ticked down the distance as his clawed finger hovered over the button...he jammed it down and awaited to see if he would destroy two capital ships with one bomb planted in the reactor.

    IC: Rehyn Nejos
Aboard the Dead Bolt, Sentren II

Swiveling around in the pilot's chair, Rehyn stared at Badure for a long moment before issuing a laugh of disbelief when the man revealed his intentions to head out to the Corporate Sector. "Good luck with that," he said with a shake of his head, a couple of blinking lights on the control console now drawing his attention. "It's not a bad place to run as long as those CorpSec lackeys don't get a hold of you. And considering they're crawling all over that place like flies on a ronto's behind, it should prove to be interesting."

Of course, Rehyn himself wasn't one to talk. He had never ventured out into that sector of space. He was drawing all his facts from stories - mere rumors he'd picked up along the way from fellow smugglers and mercenary scum. They were far from the most reliable folks in this galaxy, but at least they were loyal among their kin. Nejos had a feeling most of the men he had talked to were over-exaggerating to an extent, but there was also a certain amount of truth to their words as well. It was just enough for him to want to steer clear of the place. It was ideal to limit one's criminal record as much as possible.

"Looks like we're coming up on our target," Rehyn announced unceremoniously, now getting a half-decent look at the indicators and tapping the blinking lights with his forefinger. It was their final warning before decanting from hyperspace. "Better go strap in. Not entirely sure what to expect on the approach."

Taking his own advice to mind and securing the crash webbing about his chest and shoulders, Rehyn got to work toggling switches and making minuscule adjustments to the computer before sliding the lever forward. Almost instantly, the swirl of hyperspace reverted back into starlines before individual points of light began to appear in the viewport, along with the round sphere of Sentren II.

But the sight before them wasn't exactly what the Corellian had been expecting. The spacelines were essentially devoid of any kind of ship traffic aside from the occasional civilian craft or transport. Rehyn wasn't about to complain with that discovery. After all, he was hoping for a smooth transaction. It just seemed odd. And when something was odd, it usually meant there was some sort of trouble.

That is why he jumped when the comm crackled to life with an authoritative voice from the spaceport. It was the usual gibberish about designation and destination and Rehyn allowed himself to relax a bit. It was nothing he hadn't handled before.

"Uh, this is the Wayward Son, Rehyn lied through his teeth, hoping the fake transponder held up. He wasn't a true smuggler without one. "Requesting permission to set down in the spaceport. We have a faulty stabilizer and we're hoping to patch 'er up down below."

"I?ll be heading to the Corporate Sector. Safer there, with the Separatist Lovers,? Badure said. Cappie wondered how he planned to get a new ship, but she was sure he had thought something out. She wondered if the Corporate Sector would be safer for her as well, but she was very loath to go there, with her deep distrust for corporations. I'll worry about that when I get off Sentren, she thought.

They decanted from hyperspace and Nejos told her to strap in. Cappie did it quickly. She clammed up when Badure gestured so. She was certainly not good at doing the talking in these situations.

Nejos jumped into what seemed to be a well-rehearsed bluff "Uh, this is the Wayward Son. Requesting permission to set down in the spaceport."

This ship doesn't have a faulty stabilizer, Cappie thought, immediately remembering, Oh, right. He's lying. Her mind had registered the information about starship mechanics before it had registered the difference between reality and fiction. Well, that would happen when you'd been an engineer for forty years.

While they waited for the spaceport to reply, she decided she liked the false name Nejos had chosen. Hopefully there would be peace when they were done...with Sentren customs, that is.

    -Lorta

The soldier stumbled to his feet. The explosion had been bigger, louder, and overall more destructive than he had anticipated, which was good because that meant that the Shield Generator's defense and weapons systems were definitely down. He reached down and laid his grasp on his rifle, then dashed off towards the base of the Generator, unseen thanks to the dust clouds and uninterrupted.

Arriving at the base, Isaac wasted no time as he, methodically, began to set the charges around the giant building. This explosion would be titanic and would probably destroy all but the edges of the city. It would also allow the Imperials to break the Lortan army and cripple their resolve, he had seen it done before today. Isaac rose and retreated to the site of their arrival where the speeders were still placed: Over the docks.

Before he had even left the city, he detonated the charges. The shockwave would sweep over the city and when the Lortan Army sought to retreat behind their walls for haven, they would discover that no such place existed any longer.

    Captain Tresk Lew'asala
    Private Room aboard The Shadow
    Above Tatooine

The black-furred Bothan, Tresk Lew'asala sat quietly at his circular desk, cut from a fine wood only found on Bothuwai. His desk was his center of gravity, his organizational tower...and stolen just like everything else on The Shadow. The large desk was built to allow the person sitting at it to be in the center...with a full 360 degree workplace surrounding them. Five large blue holo-screens and random personal notes were placed neatly around the workdesk.

Tresk wasn't a complicated Bothan, he just wanted order. Disgusted by incompetance and unruly behavior, and above all rebellion. He believed that only through Order could change be brought about. Akin, the Human navigator from Naboo, would always say this meant Tresk had the mind more of a beauracrat than a Pirate Captain. Akin was one of four crewmates of The Shadow including Tresk...who met him on Bothuwai fleeing the destruction the Clone Wars wrought on his home planet. He was Tresk's first selection to accompany him because he was the best navigator the Bothan had ever met. Though, the two often fought over issues dealing with the Empire. Akin hated Imperial rule with a deep passion. It was through Akin that Tresk even knew there was an underground resistence. Though, he wasn't going to hope for an end to the underground talk of rebellion. Open revolution meant war, war meant more credits for him. At the end of the day, that's all he really cared about.

Sitting at his desk, Tresk read over a list of important sites and other various areas of interest. In such a wide galaxy, there was always more than enough work for a small band of pirates like the ones Tresk Lew'asala led. Rare alien cultural items, lost weapon caches from old wars, drifting junk that could be sold anywhere for various prices, schematics for all kinds of things, even the discovery of new planets held a major black market sale. The Empire never had pirates as their main point of focus, they actually had a sort of love-hate relationship with the pirate world in general. The Empire needed pirates and Tresk knew this and often used this to his advantage when dealing with them. The Empire didn't have the ships or soldiers to strongly protect every corner of the galaxy. Their grip was strong, but pirate captains like Tresk knew their loopholes and weaknesses. Normally, this type of knowledge would mean the death to all pirates...but the Empire also knew that this group had knowledge they could use. Jabba the Hutt was the most infamous gangster in the galaxy and unofficially ran Tatooine...and the Empire did nothing to stop it. Bounty Hunters also had many contacts who were in fact pirates.

Tresk slumped against the back of his chair and rubbed his head. He had never met Jabba the Hutt, but heard of his style of negotiation. Personally, Tresk didn't find any species more disgusting than the Hutts...but Jabba wouldn't know that. Recently, the crew of The Shadow had pulled very valuable information about an insurrection on Taris that was sent through secret intelligence channels directly to the Empire. What Tresk Lew'asala thought was nothing more than a local display of cultural independence, turned out to be a full fledged revolutionary, anti-Imperial hotbed. The Empire swept Taris and put the insurrection down quickly. Many instigators were either killed or sent to horrific Imperial prisons...where they would surely soon die. Tresk rubbed his chin figuring somehow Jabba the Hutt must've heard about this and decided to enlist his services. It didn't please the Bothan that his actions led to such dark countermeasures by the Empire, and Akin was especially angered. Tresk had never seen the Human more emotionally charged and saddened. But credits tended to make emotions moot, especially in Humans...who thought very much like Bothans. Even a man as anti-Imperial as Akin could be swayed by them.

The commlink on the desk beeped suddenly, taking Tresk out

The cart was smart, Zisz had to admit that. Though Zisz was able to block the incoming cart with realtive ease, the fruit where another matter. As soon as the cart itself floated it mid-air, the fruit with in, the odd purple hexagon shaped fruit from this system, along with an entire assortment of multi-colored and shaped fruits that Zisz had never even heard of, let alone see.

For a few moments, as the fruits juices flew into his eyes, as they broke on him, the Verpine was blinded in surprise. Not that it mattered. This Jedi was far to weak to use that to his advantage. Zisz merely wiped off the fruits coldly, as the Jedi parted the crowd and began to yell.

?Are you ready to die? " Minos Fel?Kona bellowed.

The Verpine, merely looked at the Tarasin Jedi, and smirked as he flicked the stubs of his antenna with his right hand. While doing this, Zisz used the left hand underneath his coat to Force Push seven members the Tarasin, Duros, Bothan, and Human crowd at the Jedi, like bullets from a sluggthrower.

How stupid could he be? Why would a servant of Palpatine decide now that you've tried half heart heartily to throw your baggage away that Zisz wouldn't use it to use advantage against him.

Not wasting the element of surprise, or even perhaps to distract him further, using the Force to empower his already flexible muscles, Zisz hurled him self towards Minos, flipping several times. Igniting his lightsaber right before he was in striking range of the Jedi, Zisz placed another citizen from the crowd using the Force in between them, like a shield, as Zisz himseld struck down hoping to cut through both of them.

He hoped the Jedi lived though, he truly hoped he did.

Though he was supposed to be on official Imperial business right now, Zisz decided to take up another lead following his friend. Not that Minos knew where he was. Goodness no! Still, Jedi knew where all the best hiding sopts where, and untill recently, both of them fled Sectors nearby each other. Could easily be a coincidence, could be that they where working together, could be something in between.

Aboard ISD Caduceus, Arkania Orbit, Colonies

Troy occupied the middle of his vessel's bridge catwalk, with a fist balled up firmly in frustration. Of all the times to lose contact with Dara. Staring motionless as the silver orb of Arkania loomed beyond his vessel's mighty prow, he didn't notice the approach of his first officer.

"Sir," Lieutenant Frei said in a low voice, "as much as I'd hate to admit; the Arkanians appear to have the system under control - since we greased the Majestic, of course."

Still not breaking his stare with the world below, Heimdal shook his head slowly, "Frei, don't you think it's a little strange that thing showed up when it did? I mean, we complete our troop transfer, then Lortva won't give us suitable answers as to why all of our soldiers went haywire, then some suicide Acclamator makes a run at the planet, and now the Arkanian prick can't be reached. And naturally, the Inquisitors are said to be responsible." He then turned to look at his subordinate and shrugged, throwing up his hands at the same time, "Alright then, Inquisitor business is Inquisitor business."

Frei smirked, "They never did anything for me."

Heimdal turned on his heel, "Get me a course locked in for Sentren, that's the real issue here. It's also where our lost ship is trying to hide. The place is far less Imperial than Arkania given the intelligence we've been able to scrounge, so therefore - we go."

"Very good sir, I'll give the order. Anything else?"

"I want all minor damages from earlier repaired and clear us for action before we make the jump, I don't want any surprises on the other end." Heimdal paused a moment, allowing Frei to internalize the orders before continuing, holding up a pointed finger, "bring us out near the edge of the system a fair distance from the Indefatigable, and hail her immediately so we can get some kind of idea what we're dealing with. Also, have Commander Echelston deploy all fighters upon arrival in an appropriate screening formation."

    "Yes sir."

    "You get all that?"

    "Absolutely, sir."

Troy grinned, shifting smoothly out of command mode, "You're a better Lieutenant than I was, Frei."

The executive officer stood in silence.

Heimdal placed a hand on his shoulder, speaking seriously, "I don't know what we're going to be up against here, but we all have to be on our toes. It's your watch, I'm going to check on those Advisors below decks."

Frei puffed up, "Yes sir. Thank you sir!"

Several minutes later, after the warning klaxons had sounded and the Caduceus had been pulled into hyperspace, Troy had found his way to one of his ship's smaller, more private lounges, where the Imperial Advisors attached to his command had been instructed to gather after they had had a chance to visit their quarters.

Striding confidently in nodding his head to them, he glanced over the faces of Moff Trachta, Lord Kya, Scarev Quest, and Kortva, as they were being served drinks by a lanky military protocol droid.

He took a deep breath before speaking, "Good to have you all here. We had a little bit a scuffle in orbit right before you arrived, but nothing too serious," he glanced sidelong at Kortva. "However I do have good news. My scout ships have located the missing Destroyer and we are presently en-route to its location - the edge of the Sentren system. My XO is handling the initial operation so that we can get down to whatever business you may have," Heimdal walked over to the lounge's nearby bar, pouring himself a glass of ice water, "Lord Quest, I ran into one of my men on the way down here and he said specifically that you had wanted to discuss something."[/blockquote]

[blockquote]As Marl brought his hand gently to her cheek, a chill of pleasure flooded every fibre of her being. The world around her froze; even a whining protest from Zeev barely registered as Marl leaned towards her. Placing her free hand on his waist, Valara tilted her head in silent affirmation as their lips met. His gentle, tender caress was like nothing she had experienced before. It seemed all too brief; one moment there was the tender warmth of his lips, the next an intense, stinging pain as Valara struggled to maintain her balance. Righting herself, she noticed the mischievous grin on Marl's face, then the pole he'd lowered to defend his legs. He hit me! And what's worse is I didn't even see it coming... Valara shook her head, chastising herself for letting her guard down so easily. Zeev squawked in protest, but she raised a hand to silence him. He cocked his head to one side, giving her a puzzled look; one which was replaced by a smug grin as he saw the look in her eyes.

"I'm sorry about this Marl, but I have a certain... reputation to uphold."

Raising the pole, Valara made a feint for Marl's head, causing him, in turn, to raise his pole to defend himself. Leaving his torso wide open, Valara connected the flat of her pole with Marl's side, although certainly not hard enough to cause anything more than minor bruising. It had the desired effect, as Marl instinctively dropped his weapon in favour of holding his side. A fast, elegant spin left her standing behind him, where a crouching sweep to the back of his legs finally brought Marl to his knees, defenceless.

    Zeev chuckled as only a Duuvhal could, evidently satisfied that justice had been served. Valara strode triumphantly round the fallen figure to stand before him. Crouching down she lifted Marl's face to meet her own and stole a brief kiss of victory. With a sly grin, Valara uttered softly;

"And now that my reputation is restored,"

She paused, took a few steps back and spread her arms in a sweeping bow, "Care to dance?"
With that, she raised the pole above her head, ready to swing. There would be no crossed wires this time. [/blockquote]

Raine had a fleeting moment of satisfaction - and then the clones nearest her charged, firing at point-blank range and brandishing vibroblades.

What the - kriff. Raine recognised the danger even as she ducked under a wild vibroblade swing and cut down the first clone to reach her. Their commander had realised she was using them as human shields, albeit of a dangerous sort, and with typical disregard for clone lives had decided to force her to remove them.

And she had no choice: she could hardly afford not to, with them so close. Raine appreciated the coldblooded efficiency of the plan even as she cursed its effectiveness.

    But maybe she didn't -

Time seemed to slow as Raine summoned the Force. She threw out her free hand, throwing it out in a wave of power. It slammed into the front clones, throwing them back - hopefully far enough to slam into the ones behind - but she didn't pause to see. It wouldn't last. She turned and sprinted, charging in the direction of the shouted command she'd heard earlier.

    Landing Platform, Tipoca City

As initial reactions go Vaders was on the decidedly caustic side. So much so that he was honestly a bit surprised at himself, as that was not a typical reaction for him. But suddenly everything had fallen apart, the poodoo had hit the fan as it were, and was making one hell of a large, smelly pile of itself all over the place. Realizing this had to be done quickly, "Array the cruisers in a defensive pattern around Devestator, and have it commence full scale orbital bombardment, cause as much damage as possible. Matthayus is to start heading out of system, and my flight of TIEs and my personal shuttle will catch up with it before it jumps to hyperspace. As soon as all TIEs are out of atmosphere everyone will commence a fighting withdrawal towards the same point as Mathayus." He didn't say anything about alerting the troopers on the ground, as there was nothing that could be done for them. Warning them seemed utterly unimportant as they were likely dead men walking regardless of what was done.

The shuttle bearing a portion of the 501st had landed nearby, and Vader used the Force to lift Taun We up and not particularly gently started to send her towards the waiting shuttle. They had their orders. "Fett, you know your job. We will be in touch to make sure you have the rest of the details as soon as we are out of the system." It would be rather pointless to put the information out there if they were destroyed on the way out.

Walking towards his TIE, Vader basically threw the Kaminoan cloner the rest of the way to the 501st, and knowing what was expected of them the troopers caught her and dragged her into the shuttle, regardless of any resistance on her part.

Ignoring everyone else for the moment, the Dark Lord prepared to lift off. Having left everything hot it was the work of seconds to get back into the air. "Black flight, form up on me. We're returning to the ship. Protect the shuttle at all costs." Knowing it would be done, Vader took off towards the black. It was time to get reacquainted with some droids, and show them yet again how pointless it was to face him.

    Name: Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi

    Age: 46

    Species: Human

Planet of Birth: Undisclosed after adoption by the Jedi Order

    Gender: Male

Appearance: 1.79 metres tall; athletic build; greying hair and beard, once a light brown; blue eyes; clad in traditional Jedi robes that have seen better days.

Affiliation: The Jedi Order, or what remains of it.

Allegiance: The Light Side of the Force

    Rank:
    Jedi Master

Weapons: An elegant weapon from a more civilized time, Obi-Wan still carries the lightsaber he constructed shortly before becoming a member of the Jedi Council.

Bio: Student, Master; General, Negotiator; Pilot, Passenger; Mentor, Brother - Obi-Wan is all of these, but is above all else, a Jedi Knight. His past is storied and well-documented; Padawan to maverick Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn, it was Obi-Wan who defeated the first Sith Lord in over a millenium, and it was he who inherited the task of training young Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One. As a teacher, he had his work cut out for him, but he and Anakin shared a close bond, like brothers. General Kenobi was a Hero of the Republic during the Clone Wars - "Kenobi and Skywalker," the headlines ran, yet ever-humble, Kenobi was also "The Negotiator," a skilled diplomat who preferred talk to blaster fire. As the Clone Wars drew to an end, it was Kenobi who snuck into the sacked Jedi Temple to warn his comrades of impending doom. It was Kenobi who confronted his old pupil Skywalked - now Darth Vader - on Mustafar. Fleeing after a titanic struggle, thinking his one-time brother dead, Kenobi swore to protect the young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine, and this is where we first find him...

    Obi-Wan Kenobi?s hovel, Tatooine

Qui-Gon Jinn?s steady voice took Obi-Wan Kenobi through his meditations, his ethereal spirit evident, a blue hue attached to the otherwise normal appearance of the venerable Jedi Master.

?It is a matter of surrender. Of detaching yourself from your body and allowing it to merge with the Force, becoming part of its flow and current, indistinguishable within its great heartbeat ? without such a release you cannot become one with the Force.?

Qui-Gon continued. ?The point of the related Sith skill ? the skill which allowed the legendary Freedon Nadd and the Dark Underlord to exist beyond the mortal plane ? is instead focused upon holding on to material objects, ?anchoring? yourself to an object - a body, a Sith Holocron, in some cases even amulets or weapons. It is, as such, limited ? the destruction of these items in turn results in the destruction of the Sith. It is also possible to destroy the spirit with concentrated use of certain Force skills.?

It was a seminar, of sorts, one of dozens such discussions Obi-Wan and his old master had taken part in during the eight years since the Empire had begun. Obi-Wan had been instrumental in the Empire?s rise, giving birth of Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith. Now he was to protect the young son of Anakin, and that he had done from threats such as the Dark Jedi A?Sharad Hett and an array of cyborgs, Tusken raids and pirate attacks.

Qui-Gon paused, breaking the flow. ?Your beacon.?

The beacon was the tool in which the Jedi had once communicated with themselves. A boon initially, the Emperor had used it to recall the Jedi at the end of the war and to slaughter the survivors, and the beacon had been activated sporadically by Kenobi in the years since ? while the channels were compromised, in an emergency a Jedi might require use of them.

Sitting in another room of the hovel within a trunk which included the lightsaber of Anakin Skywalker, the beacon held a simple text message to Obi-Wan?s position.

THE TIME TO ACT, PERHAPS IT IS, YOUNG MASTER ? A CONCLAVE ON NABOO, I CALL.

And, just as suddenly, it became evident that the darkness within the Force was parting ? the Force was, remarkably, rebalancing? had the moment arrived? Little Skywalker was eight? how could the Force have rebalanced without him reaching maturity?

What had happened to the Empire?

A warning rang in the Force, and the roof of the hovel exploded. Flames rushed down at Kenobi, seeking to torch what little things he had, and him as well. A manic female laugh echoed through the destruction.

    A laugh Kenobi would recognise.

    Aurra Sing.

As Akin scowled at Tresk, the others, Jora and Alara, held their breath. This was how it was with Imperials. Busy-bodies at the best of times ? spoiling for the fight the rest of it. As they waited, a Seinar patrol craft rolled around the horizon.

?We?re being scanned,? announced Alara. The small picket would rapidly detect that the Shadow was a moderately well armed vessel, a threat to such a minor Imperial ship.

?I apologise, Master.? There was a shift, and Marl continued, taking the cue with perfection. ?But we have decanted from hyperspace, and preventing us from crashing it taking up my attention now.? He stood back up, grinning. ?Is that acceptable??

The ship rocked, throwing Marl down to the ship floor, banging his head down. ?What the -? He pulled himself up, saw Zeev and Valara were down, too, pushing off the ground on all fours for a moment. Before he made it to the bridge the ship was rocked violently again, and alarms filled the ship.

Marl half-fell into the pilots? seat, fingers skittering across controls. ?We?re losing hull integrity. We?ve been hit by what look like cannon shots and we?ve lost the starboard engines?? Marl tapped the emergency beacon, seeking to send out a distress call. The signal was caught, and prevented from being sent. ?System-wide jamming??

It was only then that Marl looked up. And saw them. Dozens of wedge shaped Acclamator-class assault ships. Hundreds. Surrounding a world that was blackened by destruction and factories ? his homeworld, Sesswenna. ?By the Force??

?You have permission to land ? berth 12 has been reserved for you. Please do not land elsewhere.? In the port, a Quarren was waiting for them, standing in the entrance, arms held behind his back. A military pose, Badure noted.

Interesting. Badure began looking around the port, of what he could see. A few containers, no fuel drums, which was odd, and no other members of the port police about. That in itself wasn?t strange ? no doubt Rehyn?s contacts had paid off the locals. Badure wondered if he could get a ship from them. He also idly wondered what Cappie was going to do.
Before he could ask, a message emerged from within the Dead Bolts comm. channel. ?To complete the transaction, Captain Nejos, could you and your crew present themselves at the bottom of the ramp? No offense intended, but the Hutts can be dangerous partners.? The line went dead.

Alex snorted, and unstrapped himself. ?Come on - let?s get this farce over, Cappie.? With a shrug, Badure started heading out of the ship. The moment Badure spoke the Force sang with danger, attaching itself so sharply to him that it implied something too deep to be coincidence.
