Well, obviously we're going to see the movie again at the Ziggy, so maybe a little street party outside first?

And I've already said this before, but the Fan Day screening at the Zig has to be the "talk back" session. As in we scream whatever the hell we want at the screen.

    Palpatine: "I love democracy."
    Us: "Liar!!!"

What I'd love to do is have someone bring a CD player so we can play the appropriate music at certain points, like porn "wa-wa" music during the scene between Anakin and Padme in front of the fireplace, and the "Shaft" theme when Mace arrives on Geonosis.

"When there's Sith lords all about who's the cat that won't cop out?"
    "Mace!"

Thus furthuring along the Rocky Horror aspect to ATOC ;).

All I know is that I will be seeing AOTC again with the people I saw it with for the first time. All 200 something of us.

Padme: Oh, Anakin... you'll always be that little boy on Tatooine.
    Me: Steeee-RIKE!

edit: I'd like to work on a Rocky Horror style script complete with callbacks.

I've got more risque callbacks that can't be posted here. ;)

We could do the Rocky Starwars Episode II Picture Show at the final screening at the Ziegfeld, some time in September.

edit: That is, a full-on, costumed, and rehearsed event. We could do callbacks on Fan Day too. They might kick us out, though.

Whatever we do do, we have to remember we are a large group and take that into consideration.

At the final showing in September 1999, we were the only ones there, except for a small group of French tourists. We sat in the last row in the balcony, and the tourists decided to sit right in front of us. Quel dommage! :D

Yeah, they pretty much are. Steve sent out an email this afternoon. Its probably gonna be something like, meet at th Zeigy, congrigate, watch AOTC, congrigate again, eat dinner, congrigate some more.....la la la you know the drill by now ;)

HEY - i was @ the final TPM showing in Sept'99 with some MannChinese Line Peeps.
I think we'll want to savor the last showing....maybe the rocky horror one can be towards the end of the run but not the very last show? We need to soak it up and savor every single 24p HighDef Video Frame in that show.
Also, do you think AOTC will make it all the way til sept due to the lower Box Office numbers? It fell to number two this weekened as a result of Ben playing Harrison playing Alec.

Naw man, I was thinkin' Rocky Star Wars Episode II for the Episode III premiere, lotsa people, press, and lots of time to prepare the new costumes and memorize lines, and get a buttload of lightsabers for the arena scene :) Man last year my Toys R Us was selling lightsabers for 5 bucks a pop, 7 for Darth Maul's...I should have stocked up.

I'd say hold off on the RHAOTC - we'll only be five weeks into the run, and frightening as it may be, some people will still be seeing it for the first time. I'd be pretty p*ssed if I'd paid $10 and had a bunch of fans were shouting down the screen. But that's just me.

However, when the DVD comes out, we should get a room somewhere with a gigantic screen and kick-butt sound system and watch it twice - first quiet and respectfully, and then blowing the walls off the place with every lewd, funny comment possible.

As for Fan Day, I think a picnic would be WIZARD!! But aren't we just tempting fate by holding an outdoor event? The city probably get its first rain in 30 freakin' days if we decide to hold Fan Day in Central Park.

I think that we should plan the picnic wholeheartedly and just have a rain plan for what to do in the immediate vicinity in case of Kamino weather. I'm sure we'll do okay. We're owed some good weather for a Line event.

Do you guys know how tempting this picnic thing is? It's like openly mocking me for being human and not able to finish the picnic dress by then :p.

    neener neener.

the only thing about picnicking is that it guarantees i won't be in costume. that's probably just as well, though, for reasons i'm not gonna post on the internet because they're seeeeecret. ;) :p

Don't worry about the costume. It's better that you can participate & have fun and we can make a day of it. Maybe you can just wear the headpiece put on some dots.
