That's true, but what about the number ones? Katy Perry has an equal number of top-of-the-chart hits on a single album as Michael Jackson had. Rihanna has 10 number ones. That's relativity. Population doesn't count into it. The relativity still stands, irrespective of population. :( The number of people in the population who like crap, relative to the number who don't, has simply increased with time... [face_plain]

I heard there were 12 notes and people just keep using them over and over.

While I'd love to see some of my favorite bands get more, if any airplay, I couldn't care less if more people like what I don't.

Where's Ender Sai with his generational charts of X, Y and Z when you need him? This thread needs his doomy gloomy outlook.

I just said that Gen Y was terrible. It's a statement of fact, so I don't understand the objection.

    Also; Megadeth > Metallica.

It's not just about #1 hits. There is such a thing as cultural impact.

The list forgot to mention that the Beatles never won a grammy, and Elvis only won a few for spiritual songs, none for his popular stuff.

What is their point about Rihanna? The only disappointing thing is that they compare her to a bunch of weirdos no one has ever heard of before.
