Adjust for population.
Led Zeppelin never had a...ugh.
boo hoo im old rargh you kids and your rap music and your katty perry i have to go lie down now and take a dump not at the same time if im lucky
That's true, but what about the number ones? Katy Perry has an equal number of top-of-the-chart hits on a single album as Michael Jackson had. Rihanna has 10 number ones. That's relativity. Population doesn't count into it. The relativity still stands, irrespective of population. The number of people in the population who like crap, relative to the number who don't, has simply increased with time...
I heard there were 12 notes and people just keep using them over and over.
While I'd love to see some of my favorite bands get more, if any airplay, I couldn't care less if more people like what I don't.
Cry more, the thread.
Where's Ender Sai with his generational charts of X, Y and Z when you need him? This thread needs his doomy gloomy outlook.
I just said that Gen Y was terrible. It's a statement of fact, so I don't understand the objection.
Also; Megadeth > Metallica.
Also wasn't this doing the social media rounds months ago?
It's not just about #1 hits. There is such a thing as cultural impact.
I'm not objecting, I agree. But have some outrage, damn it, help me out here!
nobody gives a **** dude. day krew, yeah you'll probably find someone on day krew who gives a toss but that's day krew for ya. do you really want to be associated with those muppets?
The list forgot to mention that the Beatles never won a grammy, and Elvis only won a few for spiritual songs, none for his popular stuff.
Music is a very personal endeavor so live and let live....
on the other hand stuff like this makes you lose faith in humans
What is their point about Rihanna? The only disappointing thing is that they compare her to a bunch of weirdos no one has ever heard of before.
Popular Music is popular.
The Jimi Hendrix one is his own fault. He shouldn't have died.
I miss the Osmonds.
