    IC: Vander Lorren

Along with another Imperial Knight, Vander began cutting into the Yuuzhan Vong ship. Gone were the cheery demeanour and easygoing attitude, replaced by intense, grim focus. He felt the surge and dimming of Manden's last strength, and redoubled his efforts, face fixed in an expressionless mask.

Everything was going wrong. Everything had gone wrong. Called back, and plunged into chaos. Enemies on Bastion itself. Inwardly, Vander knew that no matter the outcome of this war, the Imperial Knights involved would be changed irrevocably. Judging by the reports, some had already been pushed too far, and had snapped. Others...would continue as they had always done, but they would never be the same. Not after this.

OOC: As hopefully all of you know by now, this game will be split into three tomorrow. I and LordTroepfchen will take over responsibility for the third installment 128 ABY - The Sith-Imperial War - The Collapsing Galaxy.
We are looking quite much forward to it and as a warm up, I´ll post a few "bridge-scenes" until tomorrow hinting the things to come in Collapsing Galaxy and to give the players an idea where we go from here . . .

    Enjoy.

    Before the Collapsing Galaxy

    Thila, Garnison of the Empire

They 22nd Stormtrooper Regiment had retreated from Taris to Bandomeer and had been shipped of, before they could fire a single shot, as it turned out that the Jedi had already laid siege to the System. In the end Lt. Cale Vansen and his men were brought to the small Garnison of the Empire on Thila. A planet ignored by the Jedi´s onslaught into the heart of their Empire.
He had missed the opportunity to defend his Emperor, he had missed the opportunity to defend Bastion. What had happened know simply pushed him beyond his personal boiling-point.

He had ripped his helmet of his head and as the doors in front of him opened, the two stormtroopers behind leaping to the side, as he rushed through them towards Colonel Mendrek´s office. His face showed nothing but fury.

Entering the office, as crowded as everything in the overused Garnison, he began to yell at his superior immediately.

?Top secret! Colonel, what is TOP SECRET ABOUT SUCH NONSENSE! YOU CAN`T BE SERIOUS!? He shouted out, hammering his datapad on the desk of the tired looking elder man. Brushing through his brows in a calm gesture the Colonel looked up. Then he turned towards his aides.

?Please leave me alone with the Lieutenant, will you?? He said and everybody left. His eyes showed, that he was disappointed already. As everybody had left, he pushed a button to lock the office.

?Do you have problems with your orders, trooper?? He asked in a calm but unnerved voice.

?Hell I have!? The Lieutenant spitted out, but now a little less angry. ?We are the best fighting force the Empire has. We have seen over twenty fights and have suffered almost no losses so far. We have dealt with heavy machinery, superior force and even Jedi! And what is it you are doing? You and this ridiculous Grand Admiral Veed? Send me top-secret orders to be send to Roon? I had to look it up twice before finding it on the map. This planet is meaningless. Isolated. Without further purpose to us!?
Colonel Mendrek eyed him for a log moment. ?You are send to Roon, correctly.? He simply stated.

Staring at his superior officer for a long moment, he couldn´t believe the elder officer took this so lightly.

?And we are send there for what?? He asked. Obviously the decision was irreversible.

    ?Training.? Mendek answered.

?Training! Training? Who the hell shall train the best ground-fighters in the imperial army?? He spitted out. The Colonel raised his hand.

The Colonel answered patiently. ?You have once requested your troops may train with the Imperial Knights to learn how to kill Jedi, Lieutenant.? He said calmly. Vason nodded. But the Emperor had denied the usual troops the privilege.

    ?Now, you will learn.?
The Colonel said. Nodded and turned to his reports again. "Grand Admiral Veed seems to have found someone who is ready teach, after all."

He said leaning began and ignoring the Lieutenants obvious confusion began to read, again. As the Colonel stood there, trying to understand this situation, the elder officer only smiled and whispered a concentrated: ?Dismissed.?

    IC: Darth Ardeur

Ardeur tiredly smirked as she accepted the hand up from Vetter. "Of course I won this for us. Darth Krayt wouldn't send someone to lead the Sith who wasn't capable of doing so. Does it bother you to work with the Sith?"

Without waiting for an answer, Ardeur composed herself and reached into the force to ease her aching muscles. She surveyed the battle and decided that the Sith chasing the rest of the Alliance were competent enough that her and Vetter could focus on the droid army and the Vong.

"Do you see a Vong lead warrior?" Ardeur asked her companion. Vetter looked harder and saw a large warrior tangling with some Imperial Knights on the far side of the battle. She pointed in that direction and strode off, taking the lead. Ardeur was content to follow her, letting the Imperial Knight be in the way of oncoming fire and acting as a shield for Ardeur. She didn't need a shield, but she'd rather Vetter got killed before she did.

The pair came upon some battle droids. Ardeur and Vetter's lightsabers flew in circles and intricate patterns, stopping all the shots that were sent their way and reflecting them at other droids. All around them droids fell as they were hit by reflected bolts or cut down by a lightsaber.

After several minutes of cutting down droids, the pair had finally made their way to the Vong warrior. Vetter leapt in to save one of her Imperial Knights and Ardeur let out a snarl of frustration as the Imperial Knight hadn't waited for her. Ardeur craved the praise of slaying the most powerful enemies on the battle field. She didn't want the Knight to steal her glory.

Ardeur rushed in and delivered a kick to the Vong's unprotected flank, and ducked as thudbugs were thrown at her. She snapped her lightsaber up to parry the amphistaff as it slashed to decapitate her crouching form. Her arms shook as she caught the staff on her blade, the strength of the Vong warrior was apparent.

However, he was not skilled enough to take on 3 Imperial Knights and a Sith at the same time. With the warrior's attention on Ardeur, the potentially most dangerous foe, the Imperial Knights waded in and struck at different vulnerable spots on the Vong's armor. He roared a last battle cry and then fell silent.

Kol Skywalker, The Shuttle, Somewhere en route to Ossus

The other Jedi were in a healing trance. Something he also would need to do, soon. But first he needed to know . . .

Leaving the cockpit, where he had ordered the Captain to fly to Ossus, taking the shortest way there, he passed his two meditating comrades and took a deep breath. The most simple technique to focus on the force he touched the force immediately and reached deep into it.

As always the force responded strongly to his will. The gift of his blood he guessed. But there were days this gift was a curse. As he touched the force he felt the trembling still. A deep resonance in the force followed by a wave of darkness. Death. The death of Jedi. Hundreds of Jedi had dissappeared from the force. Friends, students . . . he could still feel Cade, his son. A few others were there. His Padawan, Shado Vao, some of the Masters of the Council . . .

But hundreds of death had left a void in the force. A void which had become the center of a raging storm, as darkness revealed itself.

The Sith had truly returned to the galaxy. And those he had faced on Hapan hadn´t been the only ones. There were more out there. And they were on the move . . .

Retreating from the force, blocking the impact of spreading darkness for a moment, the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order took his time to sort his thoughts. The war was inevitable. No longer a millitary conflict, but a war in the force. A total war, that could only leader to the destruction of one of both orders. It would be fight for survival.

"Commander." He commed the pilot of the shuttle. "Please open a direct channel to Ossus for me. I need to send a message." He turned towards the com-console and waited for the green light to go on.

Breathing in and out, he straightened himslef, hoping the pain this caused wouldn´t be seen.
"Dear brothers, I send this message from a shuttle I used to escape Hapan. Master Sazen and Knight Crane are with me, alive but injured. The Meeting with the Emperor was disturbed by the appearance of a creature that is the new Dark Lord of the Sith. He was powerful and not alone. we barely survived his attack. Now, that I reach out to other Jedi in the force I can feel much death in the force." He paused. Giving the recipients time to understand the extend of his saying. "I hereby summon all Masters of the Council available for an emergency meeting. I will arrive on Ossus as fast as possible and we need to discuss these events. The Jedi need to respond fast and wise. Meanwhile all Jedi who are not parttaking in direct combat or other urgent affairs are to be called back to the Temples. Security is to be strengthened immediately. May the force be with us all. May the force be with the Jedi." He nodded and deactivated the holographic projection with a gentle move of his hand. He had tried to look strong and firm, but he was afraid the exhaustion after the battle with the Dark Lord was to obvious.

Sighing, the Grandmaster almost collapsed into his seat. Kol Skywalker knew the history of his family. He had seriously hoped he would be a Skywalker not to carry this burden.

OOC: The same thing as Fin did . . . a small introduction to some major characters from my part of the franchise. 128 ABY - The Sith-Imperial War - The Unknown Terrors

    A second one coming soon.
    ____________

    Yuuzhan`Dor, The Second Colony

Flashes of green light came from the huge grown table in the center of the otherwise dim-lighted room.
The High Prefect Du´kar Krell gnarled a single word in the guttural language of his own people. ?Defeat.?

His fist slammed into the Voryach-plant in front of him. It resembled a table, but in truth it was much more than this. A secretive group of shapers, loyal to their new High Prefect, had grown it to summon all available information from the various villips of the galaxy.
It resembled a large table, but was something much more complex. It filtered the information, sorted them and finally answered it´s master. The outcome of the great had become apparent in the pool of information provided by the Voryach.

?Yes, High Prefect. Again the Warmaster was the messenger of our gods. Yun-Yammka has denied him victory.? Prefect Arn Aknar pointed out the obvious. And as always his views were almost religious, while analysing the development that would soon be political in it´s very nature. The High Prefect, an intendant originating from the caste of shapers itself eyed his aide and nodded. ?Again.? He only said. And turned back to the Voryach.

Being a High Prefect was the closest thing the Yuuzhan Vong had to an Overlord in these days. The only comparable position within their ranks was the one of a Warmaster. So all Yuuzhan Vong who desired the return of the days of old had wondered who of these two leaders would have the power to declare himself Overlord of their people. So far, none of both had attempted to do so. The High Prefect had build to lead his people into a better future among those still called infidels by many, it had become unlikely he would ever gain such power.

Now, the Warmaster would be weakened. Shamed. And in a war, this was a crisis. They would need to be united in this moment of weakness.

The machinations of a great trickster, a power behind all powers, were obvious to a life-long student of Yun-Harla, their trickster goddess. And Du`Kar Krell had studied her indeed. But since the one who called herself Maleficarum had made her presence known Du`Kar Krell had feared for something like that. Probably the shamed ones were right and their gods had left the Yuuzhan Vong behind. Zanomat Sekot had abandoned them, after all. Probably they were doomed. Stranded in a galaxy that was seeking their destruction.

?Summon the Warmaster, Arn Aknor. Together we shall sacrifice and hold council. The true enemy of our people will strike soon.? The High Prefect gave no sight of his doubts. Arn Aknor bowed and retreated into the shadows.

Aknor would do as he was said to. And then he would immediately report to the Priests, that the High Prefect honored the tradition of sacrifice, but denied to return to the old ways still.

Bio: Ra Vortok was born in 54 bby, on the planet of Stenos in the Gordian Reach. When he was seven a man wearing a dark cloak came to his village and demanded to see Ra in order to begin training him in the ways of the Jedi. Not trusting the man who called himself Sidious, the violent villagers attacked the man. At the end of the battle he stood in the same spot, the dead and charred bodies of the villagers lying on the streets. Darth Sidious took the scared Stenax back to the civilized world where he trained him in secret.

By 32 bby, Ra had taken the name Darth Pravus and was Darth Sidious? second most powerful apprentice behind Darth Maul, who he constantly competed with to gain their masters favor. After Darth Mauls death at the hands of Obi-wan Kenobi, Darth Pravus was the only apprentice of Darth Sidious. Paving the way for the master plan of Darth Sidious, Darth Pravus was sent to the Sepan System in 29 bby to help escalate the civil war between the Ripoblus and the Dimok. By 27 bby he had caused enough discord in the system that even three teams of Jedi were unable to end the conflict.

Throughout the Clone Wars Darth Pravus stealthly added a Sith presence to many of the battles. Never revealing himself but always having an impact. He was the reason for a variety of the defeats the Republic suffered durring the war.

After the Clone Wars ended Darth Sidious tasked Pravus with a very important task. Sidious wanted Pravus to look after his new apprentice Darth Vader. Even after all that Vader had done Sidious was still not sure that he had fallen completely to the dark side.

When Darth Sidious was destroyed along with the Death Star, Darth Pravus returned to his home and worked secretly to turn his race of people into conquors. He knew that the first task would involve getting the idol of Vol, their deity, because with out it the normal people would be too proud to fly. Since the idol had been to time for centuries, he studied actient texts for months making sure he had the image etched in his brain. He then took a month and made a perfect replica of the idol. His work was so perfect that it was never questioned when a villager found it where he placed it. With the species now ready to strike, Darth Pravus started the Massacres by taking a small contingent of his people and assualted the Imperial Garrison. With that act the Stenax people began a killing spree across the Gordian Reach, finnally being stopped by the New Republic.

After his defeat at the hands of the New Republic he searched the galaxy and joined up with the Dark Lady of the Sith Lumiya. For the next century he spent his time on the Sith homeworld spending his time mastering almoast all of the techniques that he could find in the libraries. Deciding not to get involved in the conflicts of the galaxy, he let the other members of the order complete the menial tasks that came up. Even durring the Yuuzhan Vong

    Nar Shadaa

The smokey, crowded streets of the lower-levels of Nar Shadaa were a dangerous place to spend your time. But Vexedo, the Falleen and Captain of the ?Bloody Banner? was not a man of fear. Actually he thought of himself as the one others should fear.

Crossing the street, dodging two Battle-droids of unknown purpose and waving with his hand to get rid of the Bith-beggars, he had found the place he was looking for.
The Meltdown Café. One of the more notorious places on the smuggler´s moon and once a bounty hunter meeting point it had slowly been transformed into a shadowy little gathering opportunity for all those who desired something not legal in the galaxy. Or at least something forbidden. The Nikto at the door knew better than to block his way, as he entered.

Fumes of thousands of different aliens came to his nose as he stepped in. Drinks were exchanged, music played somewhere in the backround and a hundred different tongues filled the room. He looked around. An Aqualish in a black armor nodded to him. He simply nodded back. The mans appearance was vaguely familiar. A bounty hunter, probably.
Then he saw the man he had come to meet. Sitting on a repulsor-chair at the very end of the establishment, the little green pal looked nervous. Hoovering up and down, while checking different suspicious people around him again and again. No end of suspicious people here, Vexedo thought and smiled. Watching the bar he slowly walked over to the greenling.

?Hey Yorrel. You picked a place so disgusting, even you look good here.? Vexedo smiled. His Falleen smile could be quite intimidating, he knew. The green guy with his big ears and huge eyes showed some anger about such a comment. Raising himself inside his hoover-chair he eyed Vexedo. Small with large ears and eyes the greenling seemed harmless. But the Falleen knew him to be a quick thinker. and his species, mysterious as it was, had spawned several powerful Jedi. Not that Yorrel had anything noble inside. Or the force. He was a little evil. A necessary evil and accepted evil, but an evil.

?Captain. Waited for you I have, for much too late you are.? He spitted out and hovered closer to the table.

?Hard to find. Not hanging around so much on level 88, you know . . .!? Vexedo answered, his eyes not on the green little thing but scanning the room behind him. ?You have what I wanted??

?Hard to get such information was. And dangerous, too, it was!? Yorrel said and leaned forward. Vexedo looked at him for a long moment. A serious look, then he grabbed inside of his jacket. The little green guy twitched. The smile came again to the Falleens face.

?I doubled your payment, Yorrel. Guessed you would try to raise the price anyway.? He threw the chip into their midst. ?Now tell me what you got!?

?Not tell you I will. Show you, I can.? He turned himself in his chair and opened a secret compartment in the aft-part of it. He removed a holo-displayer and threw it on the table, right next to the untouched credits. His face showed all self-satisfaction and pride such a little creature was capable of Vexedo leaned forward and activated the display. A holographic version of two large starships appeared above a planet with an unusual close moon. The ships were obviously warships. Vexedo knew them to well. Deactivating the display and looking around who saw it, he smiled.

?Onderon. How did you get recon-holos from Onderon, little Bastard.? He grinned. Yorrel grinned back. Then Vexedo´s admiration for the resourcefulness of the little gnome vanished. Concern rules his features. ?Where are they heading to?? He asked.

?Ordered them to take Barab I, they Hutts have.? Yorrel answered. Sharing the concern.

    Wolf Varik
    Anzat

"Niner! Why is the port hovering?" Wolf screamed from the cockpit as he began lowering the ship onto the airborne spaceport. There was white mist below it and the planet seemed to have alot of mountains, a rocky environment. When they have first broken into the atmosphere, Wolf had almost took them straight into the mist before Niner's voice warned him and located the nearest spaceport.

"Because the mist makes living in it hard for the Anzati, which is why they stay in the mountains, the peaks are above the mist and supply enough oxygen for living. And if the Anzati have a hard time near the mist, how much of a chance do you think off worlders have?" Niner explained.

"Ok," Wolf said knowingly, nodding his head before unbuckling himself, "I knew that." He walked off down the hall, struggling to put his jacket on. "Atin land the ship, bud." He said on the intercom placed on the wall right before the doors opened to the main part of the ship. Atin beeped a comply and Wolf walked off, Niner following behind.

A few minutes later, the ship had glided smoothly down with precision only a droid could have accomplished. Niner and Wolf both stood above the entry ramp as it touched down on the ground along with the rest of the ship. Even as the engines still roared, Wolf could sense that someone's attention was on them and let his eyes scan the bay. Of course a new ship landing would attract attention which made it harder for Wolf to pinpoint the person that seemed to be waiting for them somehow. It wasn't until he and Niner reached the bottom of the ramp that he saw an Anzati standing off to the side.

"Hey you!" He called as he walked over to him, eyeing the tendrils hanging off his face. "Whatdya want? Some soup?"

Comming the Emperor and other Imperial Knights, the Moff, content that he redeeming himself and noting the fact that Dak Tonnacry was missing, spoke quickly.

"Imperial shuttle Valour to your Majesty, and all Imperial Knights. I have a co-pilot near the hatch, come aboard when you can.

    ---

    Near the Emperor

Maleficarum watched as Jaycen Bryce hurled himself at her, and prepared to watch him be sliced open on her lightwhip. Not paying attention to him, viewing him as a minor irritant, she was surprised to see her lightwhip curve around lazily, seeking her neck.

Deactivating it quickly, she raised her shoto and shredded the leather and metal strands, slashing it's potential. Bringing her shoto about to catch Bryce's blow at the tip, maximising her control over his strike, she pushed it aside. Reactivating the energy strand of the lightwhip, she flipped away, throwing her lightwhip at Bryce and shoving out at the Emperor with the Force.

The moment she could, she turned into a head-long charge, fleeing. The Emperor had foiled her. Impossible, but useful. The Emperor would have a revelation when he returned to Bastion, she was sure.

And my second look at 128 ABY - Sith-Imperial War - The Unknown Terrors

King Seldoro, Near the Planet Yumak

The King stroked his brown beard, covering his greenish skin and stared out into the darkness of space. The galaxy knew little limits and so did the opportunities lying within´ that galaxy. For those who had the power to make themselves known to the gods of fate. Looking out of the window of his massive flagship of the rebuild Tof-fleet his power was undeniable.

?He is here.? Came the whisper of Cilarn, his trusted advisor. The only human to serve under him, the man was hiding his features in blood-red cloaks at every time. But his words were well regarded among the Tofs. His wisdom and insight one of King Seldoro´s most useful ressources. The King nodded and watched his well fed body in the reflection of the window he had looked out. His black and yellow dress was majestic, his eyes piercing as ever.

Turning around he slowly stepped back to his throne, nodding at his two guards to let the guest enter. His black-armored elitesoldiers opened the door, both of them tightening their grip around their energy-lances. The trademark weapons of the King´s guardsmen.

The man entered with swift, militaric steps. Bowing his head and waiting for his escort to take it´s place his red eyes, deeply contrasted by his blue skin, searched the room.

Then he stepped forth and kneeled before the King of the Tofs. A professional diplomat the creature had learned every bit of the protocol and performed it with the ease of someone of King Sedoro´s own court. The King waved his hand, showing that the rest of the protocol was to be skipped.

?King Seldoro, my master Chaf'ehlaau'r of Csilla sends his greetings and best regards. As promised he has got, what was his part of your bargain. You will find it in the special section of the shuttle I have used to come here.? The blue-skinned man nodded and showed the feint of a smile. ?He told me, after this delivery, you should proceed with the object and procedure as it was agreed between you to.?

King Seldoro showed an approving smile. ?So I will.? He only said and with a wave of a hand his guards lowered their lances. The King of the Tofs watched in amusement and endless fascination, as he saw surprise and fear on the face of a blue-skin for the first time.

?I am sure this has something to do with internal politics or you being a spy for the other houses. But probably your superior is just very aware of the consequences of this deal and eager to avoid a breach in secrecy.? The King leaned back. ?He has asked us to do it as little painful as possible. How successful we will be with that request may depend on you.? The King said and the Chiss tried to reach his jacket, surely to take out a secret weapon. He never reached it, as an energy-lance was fired on him from behind. He went to his knees with a cry of pain, as all four guards in the room reached him.

Turning to his advisor the King of the Tofs only smiled. ?How entertaining. Now secure the object and analyse it for it´s unique . . . qualities!? He nodded and raised himself. Slowly leaving the throne room to the private chambers in the aft-part of the section.

    IC: Ryu Brightstar
    Anaxes

Ryu mouth opened slightly, but he fixed it quickly. He cursed his father for depleting such a large sum of the his bank account. Ryu sighed and pulled out a data pad of his own and checked a number on it. He keyed that number down and then gave the first pad to the Ithorian and pocketed his own. He accepted the cube, but when it touched his hand, he realized something was wrong.

Ryu hadn?t a clue what it was, but he felt colder and even more worried for having the cube in his possession. Every good aspect of his being seemed depleted, to be replaced by anger and hatred and cruelty. Ryu was tempted to put the cube back and run, to run far away. Away from the planet and the system and the galaxy. He hated everything about the cube, for just having held it, having put it in his pocket, to know it would stay there for even a short while.

His emotions were on haywire. As much as he never wanted to speak of the cube again and throw down the nearest sewer, something in him craved it. Craved the strange feeling he had gotten from having the metal touch his hand. He knew not what was doing this, for he had nothing to compare it too. It was like his greatest fear, mixed with a passion so strong it was beyond him.

Ryu realized he had been standing in the same spot frozen, for ten minutes. He shivered and felt his brow. More sweat. Now it felt like ice. He wiped it off and shook his hair. Ryu ran his finger?s through the black mane and noticed he had started walking. He had missed it, since his mind was on the cube. It was the strangest thing he had felt. He knew it was wrong, but he wanted more of it.

Ryu completely forgot the suit, for custom?s didn?t apply to well-known companies. He just walked to his speeder with his hand in his pocket. The pocket with the cube. His fingers never touched the metal. He feared it as much as he wanted to feel it.

    IC: Darth Maleval, Overlord Fleet

Timberus Canistia held his ground, taking steps back, completely overwhelmed by the two Sith Lords, and Darth Maleval cracked a smile. He was looking forward to removing the Dark Jedi's eyeballs.

Darth Stryfe took a step forward, and Canistia fell to his knees, pushing valiantly. Maleval could sense the Cathar was near the edge of his endurance.

And then, something surprising happened. The twelve Palawa, unarmed but equally unharmed, stood, and, joined by the Twilight Knight, raised their hands and shoved with all their might. The two Sith Lords flew back, fourteen Force users shoving them off the walkway and into the crew pit.

The crew, only vaguely following the duels as the Imperial victory was assured otherwise, were surprised. Darth Maleval stood, quickly, and lashed out, his whip removing the head of an Imperial tech, and his lightsaber piercing the heart of a fellow Imperial.

Panic broke out, as Maleval had imagined it would. Imperials abandoned their posts, and the Sith vanished into the stream of Imperials taking side-exits and smaller turbolifts, to find the rest of the Sith aboard the Destroyer.

There were thirty other Sith, after all.

The Twilight Knight ran upto Timberus as he recovered. The Palawa ran to recover their lightsabers and fence off random blaster shots from Imperials. The Twilight spoke quickly. "Master we have to go, now!"

Third and last look at 128 - The Sith-Imperial War - The Collapsing Galaxy

    Korriban

The Creature came from the depth of the desert. Her black clothing covered in the dust of the recently died storm his steps showed an unusual confidence, as the man approached the giant, black doors of the Citadel of the Dark Lord.
Wearing an ancient leathery coat and beneath a stainless black armor he climbed the steps to the gate slowly. His face was the leathery emotionless visage of a Weequay, appearing to be old, as anything about him indicated.

Two cloaked figures appeared at the door. Both igniting their red blades in their arrogance, stepping in his way.

?Stop there, stranger. For this is no path you are allowed to wander.?
The human of both shouted out. The other Sith, an Aqualish, nodded.

Staring at both of them, with his obsidian eyes the man pushed back his coat, laying his hand on the black steel of a long lightsaber hilt.

?Says who . . .?? He asked. And bowed his head, his lips hinting a cruel smile. The two guards slowly retreated.

?Tell the master of this house, the Leader of Legions has returned.?
He whispered. The human Sith nodded. ?Yes, Sir. But Lord Krayt is not . . . !?

?I know.? The Weequay interrupted him. ?Or do you think I can´t feel the absence of my Master?? He eyed him again. his look piercing his flesh and ubrning his soul. The human turned and made his way to the inside to bring the arrival to Darth Natas attention. Of course he had heard about the Leader of Legions but the ancient Sith had been thought to be dead for a long time.

Outside the Citadel the Weequay slowly approached the other guard.

?And you know it, don´t you? I can feel your fear. It is your undoing, that one needs only a single messenger to deliver a message.?
The Weequay smiled a humourless smile and the young Sith slowly retreated from him.

He attacked him fast as lightning not showing the slightest joy, as the Citadel was rumbling with the tormented death screams of the guard.

The suffering had called out to him through the force. The death of thousands singing in his mind. And so he had returned to take his place among his masters servants. The Leader of Legions was ready to take his place among the Sith.

Darth Atavus had returned to his Order.

    Timberus (TC) Canistia

Timberus' legs buckled under the pressure that Stryfe was putting on him as he took a step closer. H was pushing back with all his might. He might have been able to overpower the pressure if it was only one of them, but two just overwhelmed him. He could feel his limit drawing ever so nearer through the shade of darkness that seemed to be flowing like a flood through the room. In this potent pool of evil, he could feel the Force and its inhabitants near Bastion. The Alliance had lost, hence the delight he sensed coming from the Imperial Officers near him.

Then, without any warning, he sensed a stern standing in the Force, almost as if a wall had been put up, no several walls, as if some minds had settled their minds together, almost synchronized as the Palawa knocked the Sith back on their backs. With the sudden weight lifted off up him, Timberus seemed to almost jump to his feet. He didn't need to look at the palawas or the Twilight Jedi to determine that they all had taken to heart what he had said moments ago.

He eyed the Sith and was about to attack them while they were down, but Maleval struck out at some of the Imperial officers and caused a rush of the men and women to run searching for exits, while Stryfe and Maleval disappeared into the crowd. The Twilight Jedi ran up beside him and spoke quickly, "Master we have to go, now!"

Timberus nodded, reminding himself to remember this moment later and revel in being called Master later, and ignited another lightsaber from his hip and picking up two more lightsabers from the floor with the Force and flinging them into the palawas hands. Both hands holding lightsabers, Timberus looked at the Twilight Jedi.

"We're getting out of here alive." Timberus made that a promise to him and the Twilight Jedi as he began to rip through the crowd of Imperials with his lightsabers toward one of the Turbolifts that the Palawa had first appeared from. The palawa followed quickly inside it with him, along with the Twilight Jedi.

"Maleval will be expecting us to go to the Docking bay..." He grinned widely, "Lets not disappoint him by not showing up." As they continued to be lowered quickly, Timberus continued. "When we reach there, expect them to be there as well, not all of them, for this is a big ship and Maleval and Stryfe will have to contact over 30 Sith to get to the docking bay. Imperials will be no worry, slay them quickly and find a ship, that's the priority for all of us."

The doors of the turbolift opened...

    Galactic Emperor Roan Fel III

The shuttle had arrived. Time, then, to end this little farce. The crazy lady simply had to go.

The Emperor brought his lightsaber up in a striking position and charged in at her, seemingly without finesse. But the crazy lady only had one defense left--that shoto thing. She would inevitably block the blade, and when she did, the Emperor's free hand would crip his enhanced ELG-3a blaster and deliver a mortal shot at point blank range.

Lightsabers were elegant weapons, but so was a chrome blaster with Fijisi wood accents.

Bryce ginned as his attack was knocked away, sending him flipping away. He came down onto his feet, devilish grin on his face. He wasn't trying to kill the woman...he was a distraction. He easily batted away the hurled light whip, slashing it's handle in two. Watching as the Emperor prepared a final attack, Bryce sent a powerful force push toward the woman's knees, hoping to send her off balance.

Bryce keyed his comm, watching the battle intently.

"Shuttle Pilot, this is Imperial Knight Bryce. Do you have a visual on any other Knights?"

This one can only hope that my sons dont think to poorly of me. Oh well, when we come out of hyperspace at Taris this one is sure this one will be confronted about it.

    Darth Wyyrlok, The Overlord

He left the bridge without further comments. Captain Ruon had taken over command and was more than able to coordinate the destruction of any surviving units.

    Werda
had awakened. He could feel him nearby. Darth Ansile had reported that the Shaper and their Traitor had been killed. Presumably by him. An uneccessary loss of valuable sources. He had to discipline the fallen Master before he could hold the title of one of them. There would be great many things a Jedi had to give up, when he became a Sith. With a mental order to Darth Ansile he ordered him to get Werda and bring him to Roon. There his training should soon begin.

Then he commed Captain Ruon to prepare his shuttle and escort to Bastion.

Finally, as Operation Shadowbane had become an success, he gave a simple code into his wrist-com. Sending a signal to Darth Null on Roon and Nyna Calixte. Operation Unity had begun. The Sith and the Empire would melt their war-efforts into one . . .

He himself had an appointment with Grand Admiral Veed and his pomperous Moff Council. An alliance would be denied now. The Sith had taken the first step to claim their position in the galaxy. To fulfill their destiny.

While details were never secured when one saw the future, the Dark Lords Vision had come to pass . . .

And again darkness entered the galaxy . . . and was welcomed.

    IC: Maleficarum, Hapes Duel

The Sith Lady felt the Force shove into her, and Maleficarum rolled forward, not wasting time attempting to keep her balance. Booted feet came thudding towards her, and she spun as she came up. She came up, and saw the Emperor - to her surprise - coming up with his lightsaber to strike.

The Sith leaned her head away from the blow and blocked with the shoto, but she didn't aim for the lightsaber, she aimed for his wrist. At the same time, lightning crackled around her hand, as she prepared to use it on the soon-to-be-defenceless Emperor.

    ---

Moff Yage responded to Jaycen Bryce promptly, eyeing 'friendly' Hapan X-wings as they headed towards his position.

"Yage here, Sir Bryce. A confirming sighting of another Knight. I have Sir Draco in sight, holding some cripple up. No sign of Sir Tonnacry, but a Jedi Shuttle just left the area. Any casualties or injuries?"

Yage waited on a response, and equally a response from Antares Draco.

"You speak for the Dark Lord and I shall obey his wishes. Now tell me what is his will? So that I may full fill that which he seeks done."

Darth Ra'ziel spoke, as a true creature of darkness. A pawn. Like so many of us, Darth Null mentally gloated. He was the Master of his own Destiny, and nobody ruled that.

"You were created by Darth Wyyrlok the Second, to be the servant of the Dark One. His Will is for us to remain here. The Twilight Knight named Simeon, a traitorous servant of ours, will have revealed our location to Kira Romar, and the Jedi will be on their way."

Null's comlink beacon buzzed, and he checked it. He smiled. Operation Unity has begun. The second phase of the War.

"More Sith will be on their way here, soon, and together, we will destroy the Galactic Alliance..."

Darth Null smiled, and led the creature out, into the sunlight of the Cloak of the Sith. He wondered what affect sunlight would have upon the Sithspawn.

The scanners became full of static, and a moment later the Blue Star multiplied. A dozen, a hundred....too many to be real. The Gran Duke Sentell slammed his fist on his throne, and ended the sensors.

The assassin would get through, and be heading here. "Jensaari, you are to protect me, and nothing or no-one else!" The twelve Jensaari did not respond, honing their minds and skills in the final moments they had.

    ---

In the atmosphere, the lone E-wing followed from a fair distance, too far away to interfere, but still there. The more interesting problem was the blizzard of turbolaser blasts flying from the planet. Green and red fire was spat from dozens of weapons, with the few visually-manned E-web cannons spitting streams of yellow bolts at the real target. They were not confused by sensor ghosts, as they used their eyes, but using their eyes meant they could not target as swiftly.

The Gran palace, however, made up for that by having a hundred perched on a dozen smaller towers, balcony's and lining the walls of the castle. Built many millennia ago, it had the old fortifications with modern accessories added. As the real Blue Star approached, these E-webs unleashed a blistering storm of inaccurate fire, which would cause all but the most expert pilots to veer away.

IC: Imperial Adjunct Tohri Challon, Ord Sedra, Imperial Space

Ranov'la Verd was a commando of extraordinary grace, Imperial Adjunct Tohri Challon had concluded from the reports. The Empire had long heard rumours of a hyperlane running from Korriban to Empress Teta, but the co-ordinates had been lost centuries ago. Korriban was an abandoned wasteland - as far as the Adjunct knew - but Empress Teta would have those records.

The problem was that Empress Teta was a world in the very Deep Core, at the centre of the Galaxy, deep inside Alliance territory. They'd sent one Storm Commando unit, which had not returned, and now they were to send another. An Imperial Knight would not get past the checkpoints up the Hydian Way and Perlemian Trade Route, but a Mandalorian would, it was believed.

This stratagem was so important, that an Adjunct had been dispatched to oversee the new group, a team of five Elite Commando's. They were before him, now, standing tall and pristine. Well, the first four were, Tohri wondered how Ranov'la Verd would be standing, considering the Mandalorian disregard for any authority apart from Mandalore the Shadow himself.

IC: Yeltin, Yuuzhan'tar, the First Colony, the Unknown Regions

Yeltin had been a Sullustan arms inspector for the Alliance, once. He'd made sure the Yuuzhan Vong weren't rearming, and weren't preparing to invade the Alliance, nor Empire, in light of the Ossus Project being created.

When it collapsed, the Yuuzhan Vong revealed their fleet to the dozen inspectors, who, watching Zonama Sekot abandon the Yuuzhan Vong, concluded that the Yuuzhan Vong hadn't been behind the sabotage of a hundred worlds. They already had the fleet to start a war, and ruining a few worlds in the Mid Rim or Outer Rim were not going to change the balance, especially worlds within the Commonality, for example.

So the inspectors covered it up, reporting to the Alliance Senate lies, to make sure the Yuuzhan Vong were painted as victims. The Alliance stuck by the Yuuzhan Vong, and the Empire declared war, calling the Alliance a Yuuzhan Vong puppet. A simply impossible occurence, the inspectors concluded, again, that it was the Empire behind it, in some way.

But, the war had started, and raged, and, they had hoped, ended at Bastion. It hadn't, of course, and now the inspectors, having spent almost two years in Yuuzhan Vong space, acknowledged that they were inspectors in the past tense.

    Now they were prisoners.

Tsavong'shaa Anor was their guardian for the week, other more experienced shapers like Master Shaper Qelah Kwaad sent out into the field for the great Battle of Bastion.

Yeltin waved the Shaper over as she entered his room. He looked up from the holoprojector, seeing devastated vessels returning through cam's the Yuuzhan Vong had set up for them.

"So, you lost. Do you intend to keep us here even longer, Anor?"

OOC: A short preview of 128 ABY - The Sith-Imperial War - The Force War

    Anaxes.

A world once of the Empire, its Defender of the Core. Holding to Order alone in the darkness filled with rebellion, the world eventually fell to the forces of anarchy and destruction.

The New Republic fell, as it was destined to, and the Yuuzhan Vong came, infiltrating first, and then conquering all. Anaxes vanished into their invasion, and rose up again, a treaty signed by the Galactic Alliance and Imperial Remnant there.

To prevent the Yuuzhan Vong ever threatening the Galaxy again, and any power allying with them or allowing their spread like Fel'lya and their ilk did, the treaty said Galactic powers could legally declare war if they had proof that the power had been infiltrated.

With the Ossus Project a blatant strike at the Galaxy, the Empire declared war on the Alliance as puppets of the Yuuzhan Vong. This war consumed the Outer and Mid Rims, rarely reaching further.

However, soon, perhaps tomorrow or even today, the Sith-Imperial War would reach into the Alliance's heart, and rip it out.

The people of Anaxes prepared for war.
