I am new to costuming and prop replicas. It all started with me just wanting to be Vader for Halloween. Then I discovered the 501st and all these forums and it's been downhill ever since. I wanted to slowly put together my costume piece by piece. My main goal was to have my costume done by Halloween of this year, but as many of you know, once you get started, it's hard to stop. So far, I have 16.6% of my costume in hand. 33.2% is in transit to me, and 8.3% is ordered. The rest I still need to buy.

MR saber from sphiatt on ebay. It's ep. 5 though, still working on getting a ROTJ saber. Just sent it out to be converted to luxeon with the thicker, removable dueling blade.

Faux leather gloves from evolutiontoysarg on ebay. Took awhile to get, but i Love 'em.

if you had a pair of leather ones, youd know they breathe alot better than the fake leather ones, your hands wont sweat nearly as much in them.

UPDATE: Up to 50% of my ROTJ Vader

March 1st- I'm up to 50% with the arrival of my chest armor and shins from Korbanth. GT '07 armor and nicely finished.

Measurements have been sent to Claudio for my leather body suit, so that is in the making. Chest box, Belt, cod (on artisan's list), robe and cape still to go.

I know that was directed to ronhoffman2, but I know I would get ROTS. I like the helmet in that costume, but the body suit looked weird and off to me, am I the only one.

Remember that Hayden's body is alot smaller than Dave Prowse's. so obviously the ROTS vader appears much less bulkier than the OT vader

Looks to be a nice Rubies FG cast. Too bad the Rubies molds has all those flaws including the poor dome detailing and neck flare.

yeah, i kinda dislike the neck flare and soft dome ridge, but it's nice for my first helmet.

    Now up to 58.3%.

Received my Artisan Props cod today and it is spectacular. The pics do it no justice. It is beautiful in person.
My leather body suit is in transit also.

yeah, it's adding up. i'm keeping tabs on it all and i'll post final cost when i'm finished with it.

i ordered belt and belt box components yesterday and i won an auction for a portumac chest box. After that, all I'll need is the inner robe and the cape.

    Now up to 66.4%

Just received my leather body suit from Claudio in Argentina. I quickly threw on what I have so far and took a pic. Some things might be a little crooked, but I was in a hurry to try everything on.

Belt box pieces ordered saturday, so I'll be getting started on that within a few days.
