    Hi,

This is a wild shot in the dark, but does anyone have an old style trench coat they'd be willing to part with (or borrow, for a few months)? Or do you know of anyone or where to get one? I suppose it's something like a frock coat as well. Ebay doesn't have anything, and I cannot find any places that still sell this kind.

It should not be leather, but cloth. Long, so when you spin around while wearing it the fabric spins out around you.

For those of you wondering, yes this is for a Star Wars costume. :)

    Thanks for any assistance!

    Chris

Well, depends what style? 50 years is a long span? World War II German trench coats look good. but those are usually worn buttoned all the way to the neck.

C'mon, try EBAY a little harder. IT HAS EVERYTHING!

One time i found a kids picture. A random kids picture...

Try army suplus stores or opportunity shops to see if you catch a coat from that era.
If you can get it at an op shop and your handy with a sewing machine you can modify its a cheap costume.
