What I think is, that Jacen became obsessed with the nature of the Force, but ignored everything around him. He became aloof. What he said in the meetings serve to highlight his arrogance. Leia should have answered him with a reprimand instead of being speechless. If there is to be in fact another Jedi Schism because of the conflict of authority, then so be it. It would be better that the Jedi learn from their mistakes the hard way, rather than to argue to the death over it. The Jedi are lost. War has changed them in a similar way as the war changed the Jedi in the Mandalorian war and at Malachor V. Clear, more might fall the same way that damnable Twilek has.
