You know this is the first post milestone where we haven't had some massive last minute post drive to make the number ?

Actually, I was a one Sith post drive, b/c I sat around for about 10 minutes and made the last 8 or so posts before reaching 20K.

 

What happened!!!! Now it says we have only 16,124 posts!!!

 

There must have been a round of pruning some time last night. Occasionally the server deletes all the threads made before a certain date. I'm not sure how often this occurs or what the cut-off date is for a thread to escape deletion, but all the forums at the JC would have gotten this treatment.

 

I have disabled the auto-pruning for this forum. I'm sorry that I didn't think about it before.

Well, I think this also happened to the RMFF at this milestone. And they came back, as well. Stonger than before.

 

WooHoo, that means I can try once again to get the 20k post! (Although it would technically be the 24,something post. )

I think maybe when a particular forum reaches a set amount of posts (like 20,000), older stuff is automatically deleted. Denver's forum probably already had this turned off if it happened to them before.

Oh, well, we'll just have to try even harder now.

We are just 40 post away from getting back to 20k.

 

Of course, I would like it to be me getting to 20 k but whomever.

 

Hopefully we wont get pruned again.

I went looking at other cities just now. It looks like a lot of chapters got pruned.

 

T minus 14 and counting.

All other cities had to learn the hard way, which is why Denver did not tell Phoenix, PHX didn't tell Indy, and Indy won't tell the other cities.
