    Congrats to Skiara who correctly guessed George Lucas

    Lucas authored the book that started it all - "A New Hope"

    George Lucas is the author of ANH, at least that's what the book cover says. ;)

    I apologize for any confusion - I also went by the book's cover which lists the author as George Lucas. Foster's name isn't on it anywhere. Does anyone know if the book re-issued only listing Lucas or something? How odd.

    Honestly I was thinking about various EU authors as well until I read the answer about before or after the battle of yarvin. That leads me to one book very obviously: ANH. Then I checked the author and sent in my guess. ;)
