Hmmm, well, citizen, the images are awesome, but the only problem with it is the white background is boring and the text sucks. No offense, just to be honest.

 

Thanx s-o-m-e! Would a black background be alright maybe? hmmm....

 

It could use some work to spice it up a little, tom and it does need a side banner, background, etc, but your idea is great! Very creative.

 

I know it is a lot of work, being a webmaster myself, but why don't you try a random collage background like is already on the boards?

 

Question, is the curve necessary? Can't we just have right angles?

Won't someone think of the right angles!?

Well, the reason no one has ever done a right angel is because always on every website, the main citer of activity is in the left corner or in the middle, almost never in the right, so there you go.

 

Just asking for advice. Am I on the right track with this one?

Anyone else: Did we change the dimensions of the images posted here? They seem to be widescreen.

That looks better, Tom! I would suggest definately going with a darker background to make it more appropriate for Halloween and could you possibly sharpen the images? They're on the blurry side. Keep up the good work!

Nebucchad, I like yours as well! It's a good start; the color scheme is nice.

 

hey tom, if you save ms paint files as .jpgs they you get that crappy blurriness. the best thing to do is save it as a bitmap and then rename it.

 

You can't simply save a file as a .bmp and rename it to a .jpg. The two formats use completely different compression techniques.

 

Here's a very rough draft of my banner. It still needs lots of work and a background, different ad holders, etc, etc. But what do you think of it so far?
