I was a little worried there with that last touchdown by Baltimore, but Titans pulled it off.

    I'm happy because

    A. I like the Titans
    B. I have a pathological fear of facing the Ravens in the playoffs
    C. Titans pulled off a tough one, but their two best players are really injured and can't keep going the way they did today, i'd be happy to face them in the AFC championship game

yes, i also like the broncos' chances with the titans winning today. if they can get past new england, i believe they will win the super bowl.
(this is a big IF, but hey, it could happen)

I've still never forgiven Parcells for the Simms/Hostetler controvery many years back.

The only grudges I hold are in Football.

Quick question. From what I understand, home field advantage goes to the teams with the best records. So why does Green Bay have home field if they barely got in? Did they win their division?

yes, they won their division. it's the same thing with the ravens/titans game yesterday. the 10-6 ravens won their division and hosted the game, while the 12-4 titans did not win their division.

yes, they were NFC North division champs, Seattle is a wildcard.

Here's what I want to happen:

Indy wins so KC plays Indy and NE plays Tenn.

Here's why. Both Indy and Tenn. have decent running backs, but Tenn. seems to be much better at shutting down the run. KC's o-line is fn outstanding, but Tenn. effectively shut down Jamal Lewis, so that kind of scares me. I think Tenn. has a much better shot at shutting down Priest than Indy does.

So KC pulls one over Indy, NE takes care of Tenn. and maybe KC plays extremely well or gets extremely lucky and takes the conference title.

    HEY! I can dream can't I? :p

Now that the Broncs are out of it, for me it's all preferences and grudges.

    Hate KC, hate Pats

    Generally dislike GB

    Like Titans

    No love for NC

    No real feeling about Rams

    No real feeling about Philly

So at this point my desire for the final game would be Philly (just to make Tim happy) vs. Titans, with Titans winning (just to make Tim cry).

lol, I hate the Titans, don't really like GB all that much, hate carolina, hate St. Louis.

I love KC, like New England, and kinda like Philly. Ironically the Colts are like my 2nd favorite team...So if they beat KC, I want them to go all the way. Realistically, I'm still picking NE beating Philly in the superbowl though.

The Broncos were just HORRIBLE today!!!!!!

Bummer. :( Theyre out. I still dont think its because a few guys sat out last game, but I guess its all water under the bridge now. Theyre out. End of story.

On the good side, I do like the Colts and I think they could do well. EG hasnt really dominated a game like he used to, and if that happens soon, it'll probably mean another win. I always liked Dungy (sp?) and thought the Bucs kinda screwed him. I'm glad hes got a good team together and is making another run. Peyton just tore it up today. If he keeps playing like that..... wow. go Colts!

Green Bay. I hope their luck runs out soon. Im sick of them. lol

    GO TITANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carolina. Huh? CAROLINA?! [face_shocked] With their QB, Jake "who the Delhom" are you? Ok, they played pretty well. Not exactly playoff quality, IMO, but they only had to beat Quincy Carter.

I so love the playoffs. :D

Didn't they look rusty, a little out of step, no heart in the game, over-confident, and "lack-luster"?

But they were well rested and incurred no injuries from the Green Bay game thats a good thing, since thier season is over!!

    [face_laugh]

Oh and guess what! Did anybody else listen to the post-game show? How many comments did we hear were they agreed, they should NOT have sat their starters out in Green Bay? 10-15. I lost count.

I guess if they would have won it would have been a good thing, but that type of thinking only works ...

    IN BIZZARRO WORLD!!!!!!!

    [face_laugh] [face_laugh] [face_laugh]

They'll be back for the '04-'05 season, and I will promise Shanahan will not coast into the playoffs if the oportunity arises again. That is if they get another shot next year.

This just might be the year of the COLTS!!
