Wow, First Vader, later an R2, and now a Fett. Think it will be worth anything? Whats Brian's Toys going to sell\scalp it for.
I'm sure you guys have seen the pics. Card is unique with the Bantha Skull printed in back of Fett. But, It's a 300th, just painted silver. Hopefully they dont put the legs on backwards this time. ; )

Exclusive to the conventions of 2003 and costing Ten Dollars. From what I've heard SW fan club members will have a special line all their own if they bring their membership card. They'll get to forward the line and buy theirs. Do we have a number yet of how many have been made?
I was shocked to not see anything posted on this subject yet...or did I just miss it? If any one gets more info about this figure please post it here. I must know all!!!

I hope to be able to get one of these, but they won't be at any cons near me this summer :(

I am going to Wizard World in Chicago in August...had planned on going before the silver Fett thingy...by the looks of it, they are supposed to be on sale there...hope it doesn't turn into a hours long marathon in line to get my "allotment" like it took to get Jorg at CII

I'm with Amber on this - hopefully a few will traverse the pond. I have a bunch of 300th Bobas - it's probably my favorite 3.75 inch figure.

    From the press release:

    >Hasbro also will offer the figure for a limited number of international promotions and through Official Star Wars Fan Clubs worldwide<

For those of you wondering about overseas availability, I'd encourage you to contact your local Official Fan Club and make sure they know there's demand.

I already have a source..I'm just waiting to see how much they charge. (Whatever it is it can't be as high as Brian's Toys!)

The problem is, the UK fan club is pants and never offers exclusive toys. Hopefully we will get it via a promotion at a toy shop but I'm not going through a dealer cause they usually charge lots initally.

LAJ- Hasbro UK have given an announcement about the Boba Fett figure. Basically they said we will get Boba in August but haven't given details of the promotion.
So it seems we are getting them but just don't know how yet :)

The way to kill Brian's Toys and Scalpertainment Earth is to not buy from them at any price. I continue to laugh at the people who throw thier money away with these people.

I look forward to picking mine up at Gen Con in Indy this summer. And it is good to see some one at the Fan Club keeping an eye on thing out here in the trenches. That hasn't happened.........ever I think.

Thanks LAJ. I'm a bit concerned the promotion will be through the UK official fan club rather then a toy shop promotion as with all the other silver figures. And who didn't re-new their membership? ;)

Well, the site I have bookmarked isn't the fan club. But right now they only have it listed as a 'possible' with no pic and no price. I am still looking though. I don't really want to use Brian's Toys unless it is the last resort.

I doubt it will be for the official fan club only.

Anyway was it really worth re newing your membership considering we dont get anything good from the fan club here?

I don't know who I want to strangle more, the scalpers selling these things on ebay or the people actually buying them. These jerks are bragging about the excessive numbers of passes they have which will guarantee them "x" number of figures. One guy is even bragging about the 30 Jorg Sacul figures he got from C2 to sell as a way to show he'll have the Fett figures. He's also titling his auctions has being "in hand," when actually they are not since the first convention is still a couple of weeks away. Hey? Isn't that misrepresentation in the title?

From the press release: "Staff at the Paizo booth will punch convention badges to indicate purchases."

That's a good thing. That should help keep scalping down some, unlike at Celebration 2 where people could find ways to cheat to get multiple Jorg's. At least this way, they have to pay extra to try to get more.

I'll have to try to get one of these, even though I doubt I'll be able to attend any of those conventions. I have the other silver anniversary figures, and it'd be nice to have a "complete set" (at least until they decide to release another one). Hopefully the fan club can get a decent number available through the magazine or their website. By "decent number", I mean enough so that they don't sell out within 10 minutes.

    >These jerks are bragging about the excessive numbers of passes they have which will guarantee them "x" number of figures.<

One person at Paizo will be at our booth almost all of the time the floor is open at every show. If she sees the same face in line more times than is reasonable, she will prevent that person from getting more figures regardless of the number of con badges they have.

Woo-hoo! All right! Fight the scalper power! Now if we can just get you guys some facial recognition software like the casinos use to catch cheats. No, no. Just kidding. But it's definitely good to hear you're looking out for that kind of stuff. I know it can't be that easy, so thanks for the effort.
