2004 Hasbro Figure Waves

Apparently the count on the second Clone Wars wave (C1 Wave 14) will be 3 of each...

...so much for my speculation.

 

Because you can't keep a good list down.

I've added all Clone Wars figures (single & multipacks), The Collection 2 "alternate" waves, and the first four waves to come after the Clone Wars are over (new wave numbers).

You'll see several 2003 figures (Aayla Secura, for example) listed as "re-issue" toward the end of the year. These are early '03 figures that are going to be repacked on the new "gold" Saga cards. Hasbro's playing a lot of catch-up toward the end of the year. Too much if you ask me, but no one's asking me.

Thanks so much, darcphoenyx! I hadn't seen any of those post-Clone Wars assortments listed anywhere. There's lots of stuff coming out in the future.

And I don't mind the re-issuing, since it gives us time to catch up. As for Wat Tambor, Padme' (Secret Ceremony), and Coleman Trebor......why aren't they doing catch-up with them? They're pretty hard to come by. I know about the alternative wave, but there are only of of each figure in that wave and the original one, and that's it. No more of them ever again?!

 

Well that's sort of my problem actually PM...I think that Wave 4 should include Wat, Coleman, and Wedding Padme as well...

It were up to me that particular wave might be 2x of the four that are already in it, plus 2x of Wat, Coleman, & Padme and 1x two other scarce figs.

It just seems like there's going to be too many Aayla, Barriss, & younglings on the pegs. But then again those were the hardest to find.

Also, those 4 post-CW waves are all hitting at the same time, likely to only be a case or two at each store (if that). So it might just be a moot point.



Eeth_Koth_is_dead...C2 W15 is supposed to ship out in October, just ahead of the first 4 post-CW waves. Since they're trying to get the catch-up Saga stuff in stores for holiday shopping I'd expect Bail & his friends to start hitting shelves sometime in early to mid November.

 

Is the Han Solo with the brown coat going to be in gold Saga packaging?

 

I'm not 100% sure PhantomMenace...but I would guess so, since the rest of the wave is supposed to be gold card.

 

That's what I was thinking, too. I wish it was the older version though.

 

I kinda do too...for carded collectors it won't look as pretty when both the card and the coat are different.

Oh well, I'm not a carded collector.

 

Man, no more Han's, Luke's, or Leia's until all cool ideas for AF's from the PT have been done. For instance, give us a TPM Celebration Padmé or a handmaiden. Enough with all the OT AF's. That's not what's hot. It's AotC and the PT. The OT is nearly 30 years old and the interest isn't like it was back then for those AF's. People buy the new stuff.

 

Yeah, I'd love to see many more PT figures, like Sly Moore, Rogwa Wodrata, Tikkes, Po Nudo, Podracer Pilots, Ask Aak, and a Pampi/Supi 2-pack would be cool.

 

That's exactly how I feel, too.

Wave 13 would fill up most the holes in my 2003 collection quite nicely.

Also added the upcoming "Ultra" line and the Target exclusive "animated" figures.

I was just going to up this thread the other day, I use it all the time when I see new figures in stores, I like to go through the different wave lists to see which one they stocked and then figure out which figure from it I missed...

Oh, I edited the title to include 2004, and then once we get closer to 2004 I'll take the 2003 out altogether.

 

Good to know my little thread is of use to someone.

After 2003 is over I'll also stop re-adding the 2003 waves to each list. Of course, at this point those are all set in stone anyway.

Thank you thank you thank you for posting these lists. They'll be very helpful.

Right now Target is the only place stocking new stuff but they're doing an excellent job. The most recent one I've seen is Dannl Faytonni but there are a few like Aalya Secura that I've still never seen anywhere.

After those Jedi Council 3-packs both of which I've found) it looks like there aren't any more Episode I figures on the horizon. It must be fate that the shelves in the house we bought a few years ago have turned out to be perfect size to fit all my figures and to separate vintage, new OT stuff, and PT stuff.

 

Thanks a lot for that update, darc. I've always found this information very useful when going to stores in search of new stuff. That way, when I find new figures I'm like, 'Oh that's from this wave. That's from that wave.'

The only thing I'm wondering now is if they'll change the packaging any for 2004....

 

I don't think they will PhantomMenace...mainly because they've said the early 2004 Waves like 1A/B/C are going to have "gold" cards for the catch-up figures...would suggest to me that the new card is here to stay for awhile. I hope so, I like the current packaging a lot.

Of course, I could be wrong.

I would imagine so...since they started over with '03 as well.

And of course there is no Collection 1 or 2 business for '04.

 

Good. I don't like the divided collections.

I'm not that thrilled about the numbering system either partly because it makes me feel like I'm missing a lot of figures, since I'm by far not a completist.

Seriously though, I can do without the numbering system but its not much of a bother.
