Awards 2004 Summer Fan Fiction Awards Before the Saga Ceremony

All right! Way to go! Well deserved, Diane.

 

Reasons why Before the Saga is Better than The Saga and Beyond the Saga (in no particular order):

Qui-Gon?s nice long hair , rich baritone and Irish accent.

Before has a huge potential for original characters. In fact, more original storylines altogether.

No Jar Jar!

The Sith. Not yer pesky "Lords", the race themselves.

No whiny Skywalker boy - he's not been born yet.

Braided Obi-Wan for one. Reckless Obi-Wan for two. Aerial fighting Obi-Wan for three.

Sith, Sith and more Sith!

Garen Muln is one hot Jedi pilot!

Teenaged Jedi sneaking out to go play in Coruscant's underworld.

Jedi are easier to torture when they're teens....and if the order is still in exsistence

Shows how the Jedi Order operated during their prime and how the Master/Padawan teams used the Force over and over again to the benefit of a certain planet or culture before they became influenced by the corrupt Palpatine. We also gain deeper understanding and knowledge about the Force itself. Jedi history is also talked about in Before the Saga forum. We learn about the Sith wars and other things of that nature.

None of our favorite characters from the movies have died yet! 'Course some of them haven't been born yet either.

There is a wealth of backstory to play with or invent.

Lots of cute Jedi to write about.

The female characters don't all have red hair and green eyes, so you can actually tell them apart.

The Jedi actually know what the Jedi Code is, and follow it!
