Awards 2005/6 Winter Saga Fan Fiction Awards Ceremony!

The stage darkens and short, crouched figure walks out into the center. Yellow eyes glow out from underneath the cowl of the cloak. The figure begins to speak with an evil cackle.

?I, Emperor Palpatine, welcome you to the Winter 2005/6 Saga Fan Fiction Awards! It is my honor to announce a change to this glorious enterprise. We are no longer the Golden Yodas, but the Golden Palpys!?

Quickly stifled gasps are heard from the audience. A diminutive figure leaps across the stage to land several feet away from Palpatine. A green lightsaber crackles to life in the little three fingered hand.

?"Over, your evil reign is, Palpatine, and too soon it was not! Here, to reclaim the Golden Yodas I am!"

?You will never reclaim these Awards, Master Yoda. The time of the Golden Yodas are over. You will now experience the power of the Golden Palpyside!?

Palpatine unleashes a bolt of Force lightning against Yoda. Yoda catches the Force energy and deflects it serenely. The two fly at one another with lightsaber, tumbling off of the stage and into the front row. Several audience members shriek and duck away, or chose sides as the brawl commences. Amidst all of the chaos another lone figure runs onto the stage, breathless.

"Oh, blaster bolts! How did those two get out....Never mind, never mind. While those two determine the fate of the Awards, let's proceed."
