Awards 2005 SAGA Summer Fan Fiction Awards

The auditorium is filled with over a thousand people, with more still trickling in. Famous Jedi and authors mingle together, talking quietly amongst themselves. Every so often, someone checks their watch. The awards are supposed to start very soon.

A white spotlight appears on the stage, illuminating the red curtain, and a hush falls over the crowd. Four men stumble out into the spotlight in the middle of a heated argument.

?I told you we were supposed to turn left, not straight, at that last door!? Han Solo is shouting in Anakin Skywalker?s face. ?Damned Sith lords can?t do anything right.?

?I could certainly say something about smugglers,? the Jedi snaps back.

?I?m starting to think that you?ll both be the death of me,? Obi-Wan Kenobi says, rolling his eyes.

Neither Han nor Anakin take any notice of the older Jedi?s comment.

?You?re the one that had us go straight instead of right at the door before that!?

?Yeah, well at least I got us into the right building!?

?I?m sorry, Captain; I was merely following the directions that Chancellor Palpatine gave me.?

?Well there?s mistake number one!?

Luke Skywalker ignites his lightsaber and holds it between the two arguing faces. ?Will both of you just stop? Han, stop blaming him for everything just because he fell to the Dark Side. And Father? try not to purposely antagonize him.?

?Not to mention that we?ve gained an audience,? Obi-Wan says dryly.

Instantly, Han and Anakin turn away from one another and plaster fake smiles on their faces. Luke flicks off his lightsaber and clipped it to his belt.

?My apologies about that. We were looking for the Saga Awards Ceremony.?

?You found it, Farmboy!? Mara Jade growls as she, Leia, and Padmé hurry up to the stage to take charge of their husbands. ?And in case you were wondering, you were supposed to take a right at the last door.?

Anakin turns towards Obi-Wan, a murderous look on his face. ?Don?t even say it, Master.?

The Jedi Master grins. ?I?ve told you before, Anakin. Directions are my specialty.?

Laughter fills the hall as Anakin glares at his old master. Before everyone can settle down again, a young woman is shoved on stage, right into the spotlight. She was dressed in a pale blue halter dress that shimmered from top to bottom.

?I?m going to kill those stupid pilots for this,? she mutters, glancing back over her shoulder. Looking up, she does a slight double-take, and then smiles. ?Well hello there. I?m JediJainaSoloFel, and I?ll be one of your hosts for this evening. My apologies for the delay, we?ve been having some err- technical difficulties.? She laughs nervously before moving the microphone away from her mouth and hissing, ?Myri, Targeter, get out here now!?

?It?s kinda hard when you?re still tied together!?

?Right!? She rolls her eyes before turning back to the audience and smiling. ?Excuse me for a moment.? Diving back behind the curtain, she begins to chide both girls as she unties their hands and feet. ?I told you not to trust those Wraiths and Rogues!?

?You got lucky,? Targeter says sourly. ?We had Face, Kell, Janson, and Hobbie after us.?

?I didn?t know that explosion experts could tie such good knots,? Myri commentes absently.

?Well, we?re late, so come on, let?s get this done,? JJSF continues as she unties the last knot.

Smoothing down their dresses as they stand up, Targeter?s a brilliant red halter that hugged her body and Myri?s a purple number with short sleeves that was tight on top, and flowed out at the waist. Both nod and salute their fellow host. ?Yes ma?am.?

The three burst through the curtain at last together and to applause. Glancing at each other, they smile and bow to the crowd.

?Thank you for your patience everyone,? Myri says into the microphone. ?We got a bit held up in our attempts to get here.?

?By two Wraiths and four Rogues,? Targeter interjects before remembering that this was Saga, not Beyond.

?Anyways,? JJSF breaks in before the two get terribly off track, ?We?d like to welcome you to the Saga Fan Fictio

::Ish saunters in on Jon's arm, dressed in a long dark green velvet dress sprinkled with gems and going from dark to light. Her hair is elegantly coiffed and curled on top of her head.::

*A sleek shuttle pulls up to the red carpet. RK_Striker_JK_5 gets out, dressed to the nines. He walks over to the main hatch, opens it and escorts DarthIshtar out before tiossing the code keys to the valet*

Scratch it and die. That's a duranium hull.

Vaderlvr, I'm in a blue striped t and denim skirt and ankle sport socks, but hey, I can dream...

Besides, I borrowed the dress from Mara in Always A Bridesmaid, now that my hair and eyes match hers.

 

I look particularly good in my yoga pants and green Star Wars shirt. Well, I've got to represent SW!

I just wanted to pop in an say a big GOOD LUCK to all the nominees! I wish everyone the best!

 

Kynstar comes walking in wearing long flowing emerald green evening dress, cut low and slits on the sides up to her thighs. The light catches the cloth and the green shimmers with a slight silvery hue. Around her neck is a necklace with a medallion with emeralds, saphires, and rubies. Her hair is hanging loosely around her shoulders and down her back. A silver tierra keeps the bangs back.

On her right, gently holding her arm is Count Dooku. Dressed in his finest attire of black and silver. His cloak is dark green with small silver fringes around the edges.

 

Nice to see you again, Master RedGold! Congrats on your new apprentice!
