First day of the First test.
I predict a 3-1 series win to Australia.

A nice start though.. 2 boundaries off the first over...

    Go Aussies... !

Love to work, although I'm at a disadvantage as im in the uk.

    3-1/4-0

Not a chance, 2-1 at the most, to England.

You will have to work hard to beat us, we only need to draw to retain and by the looks of selection thats what we are aiming for.

    Day 1 -
    3/348 (I believe).... thats aiming for a draw ?
Trying to tire us out from excessive scoring ? [face_whistling]

Looks like a great series in store though.

We have picked the extra batting, i.e. Jones and Giles and not for the bowling side of things. Plus Vaughn will maybe be back for the final two tests.

Yep, well I should be I play as well.

We are such a better side when Vaughn is leading us, the problem we have now is that Freddie will try to hard and im worried he will hurt himself, personally I would have made Strauss captain but thats just me.

Well If they are going to be bowling to 2nd slip off the first ball of every day they could have a shot :p

Anyway, I'm opting to go with what Slats said this afternoon, England is under a lot of pressure, theres no doubt about that. I believe by the time they get used to the Australian bounce and weather it will be too late for them to actually win the Ashes.

You might be right, although god help you if the ball starts to swing, all your left handers would then be in a bit of bother.

Fair point, guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'll make a prediction that the Adelaide and Sydney Tests will be the closest in terms of end result. As for the current Test, Australia look to be in a very strong position

I wont argue with that, I think we will have a chance in perth though especially if it is a quick wicket.

Maybe he wants to get out of England so he's aiming for refugee status (fearful of persecution if he returns home :p)

I will also be at some of the Adelaide Test, days 1,4,5 most likely.
