Yup, Robrero again serving to stay in the match.

And as long as Roddick gets whooped, it's all good!

Love to see Haas make it to the semis at least. Seems his biggest problem is that his confidence wanes against the top players.

EDIT: Federer broke at 6-5 to take the 3rd set, and thus the match.

So, as expected, we have a Federer vs Roddick semi-final. :D

If I had to pick, I'd actually pick Haas to make it to the semi's out of his match with Davydenko.

Haas took down Davydenko in 5 sets.

Sharapova won in 2 close sets, Clijsters over Hingis in 3.

Nadal was just raped by Gonzalez.

I said pre-game(not here, another forum) that Gonzalez would beat Nadal definitely. But I didn't expect it to be this much of a hammering.

Federer took the first set over Roddick 6-4.

    Woman's final is set, Sharipova-Williams.

Federer is amazing. He makes me wish I cared about tennis more and payed more attention to it. I feel like I'm missing out by not watching his matches, so that in twenty years I can talk about watching the all-time greatest in his prime.

I'd love it if he won the French, would cement him at the top of the tennis heap. He certainly has the game to do it, though it's tough to adapt to the clay mentality. Smapras definitely had the groundstrokes to win on Clay, but never was able to adapt to the clay game mentally.

Damn, Federer crushed Roddick like a bug. He's for all intents and purposes unstoppable at these tournaments. Amazing, yet at the same time boring.

I'll be barracking for Sharapova and whoever wins the other men's semi, but I'm pretty eh about the finals now.

Great quote from Roddick re: his semi-final against Federer:

"It was frustrating. It was miserable. It sucked. It was terrible." :p

Haha, nice words there Roddick. :D

Not surprised about Federer. Still amazed, though. I'm going for Gonz in there now.

In the Women's, I don't really care. Both Hingis and Clijsters are out of it. :( ;)

This tourney was saved by Nadal's loss to show that there is still some parity, but Federer will win

Just a shame that Murray didn't encounter Nadal when he was carrying a slight injury. :(

There's an illusion of parity, until Federer gets to the semis and final and whips his opponents.

I saw the last set of Gonzalez's match. Which was the third set. Wow.

    Magic.

Match stats: 3 unforced errors. 42 winners.

    What the...?

    6/1 6/3 6/1

The final against Federer will be an absolute blast to watch. :D

Well, the game's on now, and Federer has the first two sets.

The first set was great, but it's dropped off slightly from there. Federer has the up.

    Edit:

    7/6 6/4 6/4

Federer has his third Australian Open now. What can stop him?

of tennis players in the last 15-20 years, i think only sampras and agassi in their primes could take down federer. Agassi was beaten several times toward the end by Federer, but he was hardly in peak condition at the time. Sampras probably could still beat Federer right now.
