April 29
Comic and Entertainment Expo - Calgary

I'm really looking forward to this one, hopefully we have another good Star Wars Fanforce turnout again this year.

May 19-20
Otafest - Calgary, Anime Convention

A fun time, even if you only have a passing interest in Anime. There is lots of Japanese Cultural content as well.

May 24-28
Celebration IV - Los Angeles, Official Star Wars Convention

Dragon*Con 2007 - Atlanta Georgia, Multi-genre Convention

If every sub-genre of fandom called a truce for four days, and had a party in three fantastic hotels, this is what you get. Pure fandom bliss.

Manitoba Comic Con & Sci Fi Expo - Winnipeg, MN

This show has David Prowse, so I think it is worth the road trip for our Star Wars Fan Club.

 

Wow...to think I first met you guys at last year's Comic and Entertainment Expo. It's been a great year. I can't wait to unveil my Clonetrooper.

What about Con-Version...Nexus.....whatchamacallit?? Soooo loooking forward to that again!

 

They voted down the "Nexus" name change, so the event is "Con-version 23." They have yet to set a date so I could not place it on the calender.

I'm not sure what CV23 will have in the way of guests and programming this year, but I'm sure it will be quite different from CV22, and more like the conventions of years past.

 

Has anyone here attended Comic Con in SD?

That sounds like fun, though I won't be there as I'm grading for my second degree black belt on Saturday the 29th in Kelowna, and won't be back in time.

 

Since coming back from C4, I have been planning on attending the FanExpo in Toronto to see Hayden. Had the flight, hotel, and tickets all booked.....

However, Hayden has since cancelled his appearance (due to filming conflicts) and so the journey east has been cancelled. I'm quite disappointed I was looking forward to the opportunity to meet and converse (even a little) with Hayden. And it was cool that he was making his first convention appearance in CANADA.

 

Man if we were still going it would only be like 2 weeks man that would of been awesome maybe next year.

 

The other "Hayden" will still b there, the Cheerleader from Heroes...did U know she was in "Ice Princess"...and tons of other stuff.

 

Have you been watching those T'ween movies again Jack???

Drhaggis rule of conventions: Don't bank your enjoyment of the con on a small handful of guests. They can and will cancel after you are set to attend.

 

I'd love 2 be @ the Toronto Con. It's like Canada's "New York" or to some degree..San Diego Con.
I want to go to met John Romita Sr.(The rest of the celebs is icing.) What better way 2 enjoy my birthday weekend other then be in Toronto...or be in Atlanta. GA for the 25th anniversary of America's real hero).

 

Katee Sackhoff and Sean Astin cancelled on Dragon*Con. Oh well, they were just icing for me anyways. I know that the only person I really care about seeing is DEFINITELY going. So I get to have my cake and eat it too.

 

Hopefully she's not on the arm of another dude!
