Yikes, poor abandoned 2007 costumes projects thread!

Here are the costumes I made for this year's San Diego Comic-Con Masquerade-- we did a Star Wars/Dreamgirls medley and won an industry award from Lucasfilm!

So far I've got two Sleepless Knights Padme gowns, a Padme Naboo Battle coat, a Mon Mothma EP3 gown, A Mara Jade black catsuit, and Anakin ROTS, a Rebel Officer uniform, and maybe a few other things, oh and acustom Jedi for my mum. But all of these things are not gonna get done by October, much less in the years 2007. I may be hanging some of them up until 08.

Having not seen Dreamgirls, I'm a little in the dark, but those costumes are amazing!! A really great premise and wonderfully executed! I'm not surprised you guys won an award!

Thank you Sister_Sola! I had so much fun making it (Because of exams I ended up having 5 days to make it!! I was still sewing on buttons and petticoat frills the morning of the event, whilst slowly lacing ourselves into our corsets ). My two favourite photos are also in my gallery, but I have more here, including a group shot, and photos of my corset and petticoat here. Though I've still got to make my chemise and drawers as I didn't have time to finsih those!

It has been such a busy year with uni and theatre that I have not completed half of my years goals!

Lucy's Narnia outfit - Completed
Arwen's Rose Gown - I have been embrodering the underdress for months!
Victorian 1972 Bustle gown - I did not make the deadline (did I Last_Chael!!!!) I am in the middle of re-making the corset so I can finish it.
1872 Bustle and Petticaot - completed
1880's combinations - completed
Just started mock-ups for Leia Cerimonal gown - October 5 deadline!
Completed Sith costume for my brother last night! YAY!!!
Researching Luke's cerimonal jacket
Researching and gathering materials for Rose's Swim dress and Jacket from Titanic.

All that aside, I have been constantly been gathering materials needed for my long list of costume wishes!!!!

I can not wait until I finish uni (my last semester, YAY) because I work in a costume store I can take my sewing with me and sew when i am at work! I have three costumes I would love to wear to Brisbane Supanova in April and a further 4 for Sydney supanova next year! Better get cracking!!!!!

 

Well I am basically done for 2007, I think, LOL... just my halloween costume to do.
I updated my website with my Dragoncon costumes -- Boushh, Endor Poncho Leia, Marasiah Fel, Kingdom Come Wonder Woman, my finally finished Padme Funeral dress, etc. I won't link them all here LOL -- if anyone is interested they can check my costuming site

It's not quite finished, still finishing the semi-overhaul on the older costume pages, and haven't gotten to the event page yet, so my Dragoncon pics aren't linked just yet -- I'll hopefully have that up this weekend.

 

I had to dive deep to rescue this one. We need the 2008 version!!
