    Hopefully this will help everyone know what books to acquire for the 2008 reading schedule. :) If you have any questions please ask. All meetings are on Saturday (unless we run into a conflict).

    April 19th - [link=http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780553296129&itm=4]Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn[/link]

    May 17th - [link=http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780553560718&itm=6]Dark Force Rising by Timothy Zahn[/link]

    June 21st - [link=http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780553564921&itm=5]The Last Command by Timothy Zahn[/link]

    October 18th - TBA*

    November 15th - TBA*

    December 13th - Annual Holiday Party

    For our *TBAs here are my suggestions:

    [link=http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780553578768&itm=1]Tales from the Empire[/link] - despite the customer reviews I read several of the stories in here. There is a Boba Fett one that rocks and a really good "bridge" story about Mara Jade.

    [link=http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780345477422&itm=1]Death Star[/link] - A book about the badest weapon (outside of the Sun Crusher ;)) . . . what's not to love?

    [link=http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9781569714010&itm=30]Mara Jade: By the Emperor's Hand[/link] - this would be something that everyone would have to buy and it is a graphic novel/comic. I've heard good things about it.

    We could start the [link=http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/results.asp?WRD=Legacy+of+the+Force&z=y]Legacy of the Force[/link] series which was our alternative to this year's series.

    Or we could start a 2 year adventure with [link=http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/results.asp?WRD=New+Jedi+Order&z=y]The New Jedi Order[/link] series.

    OK, sound off.

    I've read all of these books except for the new Darth Bane (buying it soon) and Tales from the Empire (just recently finished the Death Star book and Fury (LOF). I'm up for anything and wouldn't mind rereading the original Zahn books as it has been several years.

    This will be my third time reading the Thrawn Trilogy and Duology. I think I'll be able to quote from them by the end. :p

    OK, any suggestions for October and November? Anyone? Anyone?

    Or maybe we can ask Zahn to recommend us his favorite non-Zahn SW book. [face_thinking]

    Tales From The Empire sounds good. I have not read that one yet. Maybe we can also read one of the other Tales books. There is Tales From Jabba's Palace, Tales Of The Bounty Hunters and Tales From The Mos Eisley Cantina. I have read all of them and they are all great books.
