    Thanks :) I found it locally in the NYC garment district, when I went back to inquire on it for other people, it turned out it was a sample the owner picked up at a show (there was no more left :( ).

    I've accomplished nothing I set out to do.

    I did make two jedi costumes for the kids for the Clone Wars opening weekend.

    So I did make something.

    There is always next year.

    :) I'm glad my site has been helping people :)

    So my list for the year:
    1- Sheer Victorian dress, new bonnet and make over of it anyway to wear to a picnic:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/raenef/2342693568/
    (click "winnowed spinach" for more)
    The black dress and the totally white dress are also mine.
    2- Witchblade; near total remake from last year. I like this one now and am quite proud of it:
    http://costumes.glittersweet.com/other/witchblade.htm
    3- Gentle Giant Leia, total makeover, nothing left from the original which has since moved on to a new home:
    http://costumes.glittersweet.com/other/leia.htm
    http://ivy.miller.designs.googlepages.com/leia (Leia vs leia)
    4- Dawn, finally got armour to go with the battle outfit I made last year! Had a lot of help with the making of it, I couldn't do the vac-forming and I had guidance in what I needed to do to get it to that stage :)
    http://costumes.glittersweet.com/other/dawn.htm
    5- Blue Wool Cleves dress, a lot of research from the last two years went into this which was made in a few days ;) :

    (Third row down, second photo; I'm second from the right)

    (back of it)
    6- I also made over the Witchblade into Fauna (Queen) of the Jungle for the NZ Body Art awards which was pretty fun. Seen in the Witchblade webpage. New glove and headpiece for that.
    7- Make over of my Valois Gown into that of Night for a Masque in September:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/91424360@N00/3133058684/
    8- Human Hunter from the Aliens vs Predator expanded universe:
    http://costumes.glittersweet.com/other/hunter.htm
    Everything made by me, wig, armour, under suit, shoes, wrist blades.... only the shelled belt wasn't made by me but I added all the trophies to it ;)
    9- Padme Light Blue Tatooine:
    http://costumes.glittersweet.com/other/padme.htm
    10- make over of my Cleves Doublet gown into an Italian gown:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/91424360@N00/3030043371/in/photostream/
    New sleeves, tabs and braiding.

    Things I started but have not yet finished:
    1887 Worth gown, based on the gown in the Metropolitan museum:
    http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/haut/ho_C.I.49.3.25a,b.htm (on the left, with the sunburst on the skirt)
    This was one of the very first gowns I fell in love with way back in the early '90s when I was starting to get passionate about historic costuming. I finally have cut the skirt and train from silk satin which is now decoloured to a rich buttery colour. As this gown was also made in pale pink a few years later for another client (it's in the Kyoto Costume Institute) I am really just going to be guided by it rather than make a slavish copy. But I have patterned the beading and will need to scan and enlarge it somehow. I know there is a program that will do this, I just need to track it down!
    TIE Pilot: Three in one costume, one based on Mara Jade's flight suit, one based on the Recruitment posters and one faithful to the films. I have started the first two and have a Rubies helmet that needs some TLC.
    Padme Geonisis and CW film outfit. I have patterned them both, but I never got around to making the solid parts so they are kind of shelved at the moment.
    Catwoman Mark II: new bodysuit, claws, corset and cowl due to the old one breaking down. Corset 1/4 done, bodysuit 50% done. Gloves patterned, claw parts bought. And that will be finished for next year :)
    Mara jade: New bodysuit partially sewn but my sewing machine stopped working and my other one doesn't do stretch. My overlocker won't do the piping either so I need to borrow a sewing machine until I can afford to get my one serviced ;0
    Spanish Gown: Ropa y Saya y Jubon from c1600 with the enormous ruff and very rigid lines. Very very cool and I got the ropa, the hanging sleeves and skirt cut. The skirt has been flatlined but needs to be fully lined. I have some magnificent braid for this gown. Real metal in a trellis pattern. I really need twice what I have but can't

    Sadly I didn't get much of my list done this year :( It was a pretty bad year for me (living with the MiL from hell for 7 months, practically confined to 1 room of a house) so I'm thankful for what I did get done!

    Here it is!:

    1940's dress to wear to Phantom of the Opera (OMG Front row!). I call it 'Mars Bar Couture' :p
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Everyday%20Vintage/Mars%20Bar%20Couture/DSCF4555.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Everyday%20Vintage/Mars%20Bar%20Couture/DSCF4557.jpg]

    Pirate Jacket for a friend (I don't have any photos of it currently, sorry!)

    Finally finished my Wonder Woman costume (All the 'metal' parts, plus the cape)
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Costumes/Wonder%20Woman/94634104.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Costumes/Wonder%20Woman/n628366809_805346_956.jpg]

    Giselle's animated 'Andalasia' dress
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Costumes/Enchanted%20-%20Giselle/Andalasia%20Animated%20outfit/IMG_0214.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Costumes/Enchanted%20-%20Giselle/Andalasia%20Animated%20outfit/IMG_0217.jpg]

    Dr Fraiser (from Stargate :D)
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Costumes/Dr%20Janet%20Fraiser/n628366809_805326_4204.jpg]

    New overskirt/back bustle for my Victorian gown (sorry I didn't get shots of the back, and this is the best shot I have of the front!) I also finally got the Chemise and Drawers done, but alas, no underwear photos at this stage :p
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Costumes/Victorian%20Outfit/Victorian%20Bustle%20Dress/102_0558.jpg]

    High waisted vintage pencil skirt (I don't have a good photos of this yet :p)

    Vintage Vogue 1950's evening gown. I haven't managed to get photos of the front yet, but the skirt was a full rainbow of silk satin (pink, red, orange, yellow, light green, dark green, turquoise, dark blue, violet and mauve) with a glittery netting over the top with star sequins on it. The buttons down the back were covered by me and all had a star on them.
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Everyday%20Vintage/n574222323_1985120_7098.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Last_Chael/Everyday%20Vintage/n574222323_1985121_7623.jpg]

    2 Vintage Simplicity jumper dresses (no photos of these as yet, and one still needs to be hemmed :p)

    I started an Aurora costume (the pink version). The bodice just needs the bottom bound and grommets, and the skirt has been mostly sewn up. I hope to finish it next year!

    I got a little more done than I first suspected, but overall this year has been awful, both personally and in costuming terms. But next year I'm doing another interstate move, I will hopefully be studying costume at TAFE, and I have a huge costume list! So I'm looking forward to it!

    Well my only plan for the year was that I hoped to make a handmaiden costume and a pilot. The handmaiden costume is all planned out, but I can't afford the fabric needed and I wont settle for a lesser fabric just because it's cheaper. Done that too much and gotten too unsatisfied with the result.

    So this year I became a pilot:

    and a last minute 1520's lady.

    One of the things I completed in 2008 was the last of the Rebel Trooper costumes...
    I now have all 4 and have completed all of the tutorials etc...

    so...
    if there is anyone out there looking to do any of the Rebel Troopers...
    help is available..

    Rebel Fleet Trooper:
    http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/tantive/

    Endor Commando:
    http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/endorbunker/

    Hoth Trench Trooper:
    http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/icestationecho/

    Yavin Rebel Tech:
    http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/yavinhangar/

    You have to join the groups to see the tutorials and links..
    and I probably screwed up the link to the sites...
    so you might have to copy and paste..

    Hope it helps anyone looking to make the Trooper costumes...

    Lexi Dio costume was finished just in time for Dragon Con 2008.
    Given I broke my ankle in May, I am glad that I was at least able to do this.

    I am almost glad that Celebration V will not be until at least 2010 so there is more time do work on the costumes.
