    Spacelady, hope the wedding went very smoothly last weekend and nothing beats doing something to get your mind off all the stress. ;)

    As for me, my Biker Scout is a little flop as last minute I discovered that the Belt (the Armor part) is too long for me. :_| Glued on the Webbing Belt at 4am and then see only a space left that is just slightly wider than the Quick-Clip Buckle so not enough space to put on my Thermal Detonator! :oops: Now had pass it along to my friend (the one who help to put together my Helmet & Back Tank) to trim off the excess Armor and hopefully he can finish it by next weekend so I can wear it to our CO's Wedding.

    Ps: KS Armor is for those who're bigger size! No wonder my friend can wear it and I have to buy new Thigh Boxes to fit my Thighs better. Couldn't imagine how the original ones will look like when I had lost even more weight later next year. :p

    As for my SAINT SEIYA : THE LOST CANVAS Pandora, managed to finish ~80% of it and wore it last weekend during the last day of Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention 2009 :

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/Sith_Haldir/Cosplay/Stseiya/Pandora_LC/lc_ova1_extras_pandora1b.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/Sith_Haldir/Cosplay/Stseiya/Pandora_LC/Mine/090816_11pandora.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/Sith_Haldir/Cosplay/Stseiya/Pandora_LC/Mine/090816_31pandora.jpg]

    More can be SEEN HERE

    Could use more Roses or something for the Wreath, and Mary-Jane like shoes with higher heels. ;) Will also need to restring and extend the Necklace so it'll be more obvious under my Choker.

    Heh, I still feel I looked better as her "enemy" Athena Sasha!

    Next on the menu :
    - Finalize my Biker Scout for next weekend
    - Finish my SAINT SEIYA : THE LOST CANVAS Hypnos Robe
    - Start on the Mock-Ups for SAINT SEIYA : THE LOST CANVAS Hades Alone Outfit
    - Squeeze in my ROTS Padme Medical Gown somewhere in between. I need another "Good Guy" costume other than my Snow Bunny Padme Outfit.

    Will settle my ANH Imperial Officer (Navy) and ANH Imperial Scanning Crewman later in the year when I got the money to buy the parts still missing (Rank Bar Base, Hat, 2 more Code Cylinder, 1 X-Tool, Compad and Belt Boxes)

    Well I haven't posted on the JC for ages...but I thought I'd come back back for the heck of it. [face_whistling]

    I'm excited to start working on my first real Star Wars project in a long while, I'm gonna be doing Tenel Ka. Totally stoked! (anyone have any suggestions on where to get those metal scales that have holes at the top so you can sew them on?)
    I'm also updating my Slave Leia, I currently have Jamin's kit and I'm getting Darci's kit. Also excited for that because Slave Leia has become a con staple for me now haha.

    I also got an Elizabeth Swann costume thrown together for Comic Con this year--my boyfriend made the vest and baldric, I modified a pair of boots, and the rest were hand-me-downs from my younger brother when he grew out of his old colonial clothes for revolutionary war reenacting heehe. The pants...didn't quite fit LOL.

    I was supposed to complete a Chiana costume, from Farscape, by Dragon*Con and I'm pretty bummed that it's not in the cards anymore. :( So the only thing I completed for con season (unless I finish Chiana in time for Big Apple Con) was the Elizabeth costume. But I've also got planned a Skybax Rider from Dinotopia, which I'm gonna work on around the same time as Tenel Ka.

    So hopefully soon I will have completed:

    *Elizabeth Swann
    *Chiana
    *Tenel Ka
    *Skybax Rider

    Working more on quality versus quantity now. ;)

    Btw, Banae Quee, your Six costume looks AWESOME! Am I gonna get the chance to see it at D*C?

    Thank you Sister_Sola. :)

    Monique, you're suppose to post the link to the Page having the photo, not directly of the photo. Dun think can remote link to photos uploaded to Cosplay.Com.

    Ame_V, your costume look like coming along fine. :)

    Thanks! I'm also making one for my sister, and between the two gowns (hers will be green) there will be three underskirts. The red and blue paisley one in the picture will be just for mine, and there will be a green one just for hers, and a gold brocade one that could go with either. I want to wear the gold one this weekend, so that's my priority right now. I had to buy some extra fabric today since I made a mistake cutting the brocade and it's too short now. But it'll work.

    I finished my Renaissance costume (at 2:00 AM the night before :p) in time for the Michigan Renaissance Festival! I went on Sunday with my cousin, who also made a costume, and we had a wonderful time. :) Here is my completed gown:

    [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0846.JPG] [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0847.JPG] [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0848.JPG]

    Some close-ups:

    [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0786.1.JPG] [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0787.1.JPG] [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0789.1.JPG]

    We braided each others' hair, and I'm very happy with how mine came out.

    Beautiful! Nicely done!

    For Halloween, I decided I'm going to make a cheap, "unskankified" version of Yuna's gunner outfit from Final Fantasy X-2.

    [image=http://www.ffcompendium.com/art/x2-yuna-a.jpg]

    The "unskankified" part meaning actual shorts, longer tank top, and putting a flesh-colored fabric in where her shirt splits. :p

    [face_blush] Thanks guys! I had such fun wearing it.

    My cousin gave me permission to post pics of her, so here are a couple of the two of us:

    [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0799.1.JPG] [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0840.1.JPG]

    There was a suit of armor in the archway of the "castle" that inpired us to take what turned out to be some of my favorite shots from the day:

    [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0921.1.JPG] [image=http://blue-eyedpadme.com/images/DSCN0923.JPG]

    Anyway, now that this project is completed, I have another Renaissance gown to make for my sister, before I can get started in earnest on my Padmé costuming goals.

    Yup. Marasiah Fel, her "refugee" outfit guaranteed the others (the two white outfits, Imperial Knight armor, burgundy gown) being wishful thinking if money permits. I'll probably get around to them another day.

    I've found the perfect fabric for her skirt and the top. Now I'm researching gloves. And the material for the vest (where do I get good quality pleather that looks real for cheap?). And I'm waiting for a response for her custom lightsaber.

    All in all, I'm hyped and I hope it turns out good. Especially because I already DO have that white streak in my hair naturally (runs in the family, lol) so I'm hoping that'll make my costume just that much more win. Can't help it, I feel attached to the girl cuz of this.

    Here be some hair pics.

    Although my hair's currently shoulder-length so I'll have to resist cutting it till Celebration V. I regret cutting it. I SO do.

    Other stuff I'm hoping to bring to Celebration V which I haven't done yet are:
    * Jaina's tan jacket + pants (YAY YJK era!)
    * Jaina's sleeveless green outfit (by now I've GIVEN UP making this thing and will just get it commissioned. I've messed up so many times and wasted so much money it is SCARY)
    * Jaina X-Wing Pilot

    Stuff I'm working on that probably won't make it to celebration V:
    * Camie Loneozner
    * Mirax Terrik's Jacket
    * Mirax Terrik's Blue Jumpsuit outfit
    * Jaina's Jedi Robes

    With me it's really a "luck of the draw" when I find materials and stuff I need that screams "THAT BE THE RIGHT ONE!" and I tend to have a LOT of things on my plate at once. But I just finish them when I can and sometimes I just have to be patient about it. Took over a month for the perfect skirt fabric for Marasiah Fel's refugee outfit to go on sale and I'm still watching the mail like a hawk for it to arrive so I can explore the texture further and then start researching patterns.

    So yeah, lotsa projects but Sia is currently my passion by a long shot.

    Dammit. Why is it always on the eastern coast? Only once was it on the western coast. Too bad, but after my wedding on the 22nd, and my brother's next july, I probably won't be able to go. *sigh* Pity me. :( :p
