I noticed that the website for this year's Santa Claus Parade has been recently updated. The theme is still unknown, but the date has been chosen as Saturday, November 14. Lord_Robert has suggested we enter a float this year. I think this is something we should all put our minds towards.

Yeah a smaller scale project is if we can get the AT-ST good enough It maybe able to go on a low lying trailer and have the Ewoks skying off the back from ropes. The big catch is the whole thing can not be taller then 13 ft. high.

I now have the perfect tailer. 4.5' wide and 8' long the deck id 16" and the sides come off. and to think it only cost $1199+tax and licencing.

So the at-st is 11'8" the trailer is 1'4" equiling the max hight for floots at 13'

    The planning may commence.

I'm going to use my van. That way kids can sit in the van to keep warm untill it starts. Also I'm setting it up with my insurance company too. Also I've got 2 power outlets for lights and music, plus the lights can fasten on to the roof racks, neither you or I would want tape on the paint.

So everything is set to have a float in the parade. As alaways we want everyones input and ideas on what we are going to do. I have 2 ideas that involve the AT-ST and 4 Ewoks. The theme is a storybook Christmas.

We can have 4 Ewoks on snow skies being pulled by the AT-ST.

We can have 4 Ewoks in a sled like elves beinig pulled by and AT-ST.

Four ewoks being pulled with a rope around one foot of the AT-ST? If they are on a sled, it can be made of branches and rope to look like something made in a forest, maybe looking something like a dogsled.

I was thinking if we could do a strobe light on the at-st the give it more of a moving affect. Anyone have a strobe light?

Brad Moon from wired.com's Geek Dad will be looking for us in the parade this year. He's hoping to get a good picture to put on the geek dad blog.

My X-wing Pilot costume is being overhauled for the SW Concert at the ACC (Nov 26) and it likely won't be ready for the parade date. So, depending on my mood and the other costumes that are out, I'll either march in my Jedi robes, or in my Imperial Technician (IC-3909) uniform.

I've got apple cider for that day. If my shoulder gets any better I can make cookies, but I'm not sure yet if I'll be able to.

Anyone wearing armour needs to be at the London Rogues garrison at 2:00 PM.
I have 2 locations for you to change. First we need to drop off your cars at the finish location and car pool you to the parade asembly area where I have a empty store with a washroom for you to change in. All your baggage will be keeped in my van that will be with us in the parade pulling the float. After we go back to were we dropped off your cars( at a friends house) there you can change back into street chothes. After that we go back to the garrison for hot apple cider and food.

The Ewok Sliegh is built. It's more of a land speeder now. Tomorrow I'm going to finish painting it. The plan is to put them on the trailer this weekend. We can put a tarp over them for the week, then it's done.

Lets all here what was you most memerable cheer was at the parade. For example in the 2008 parade DarthSniklefritz wore her Rex costume and got a " Captian Rex we love you, you're the reason we came out."

    Mine for 2009.
Was a Woman police officer that had a huge smile when she saw the float and said to me as I passed by. "Nice..."
