My wish list just keeps shifting and evolving...since we can't make CV this year:_| , my Amidala gown will have to sit on the shelf for a while longer. But Sally Jupiter is well under way...

I still have some finishing to do...lacing up the front of the waist cincher, taking the hem up several inches, make the gloves and wristband...
I'm also in the beginning stages of making one of Kate Hudson's costumes from 'Nine'--

In addition to my secret D*C costume, I'll be making Belle's ballgown for a local production of Beauty and the Beast, and I still really want to make the green fairy. Lots to do!:)

I sculpted the bracers and cast them out of fiberglass(I have to upload the progress pics) and I found someone who made the Naboo Blaster II aka the Pizza Hut Gun. I am amazed that I finished them as I did 3 of them in 3 weeks..it was pure insanity on my part. The only parts I did not make were the pants, boots and gun but the hardest part were the hats....did not think so but there were so many parts.

No the hats looks crazy intense.

Still, looks awesome! We wanted to do a group project of them, but once we started looking at parts and cost, the interest died.

I am making an Ongree jedi based on Coleman Kcaj from episode III. I'm using painted Paper mache and cardboard for the head and I'm gonna make gloves to give the impression that I have two fingers and two thumbs.

Princessleia911, I love your blue robe! It's so pretty. C:

Gah, I got nothing accomplished this year. That's my resolution - more sewing and clearing my stash.

Stuff I got done in 2009:
    -18th C. undergarments - corset, panniers, petticoats
-18th C. black mourning gown with orange sash

    Tentative projects/research:
-Civil War undergarments/mourning dress from leftover taffeta
    -Snowbunny and/or AotC Geonosis suit
    -Gold Picnic dress
    -Sgt. Pepper uniform - Paul
    -18th C. embroidered pockets
    -1910s tea dress
    -Hogwarts school uniform
    -Self-designed Jedi outfit
    -Chemise a la Reine
    -Regency dress
    -Hoth snowsuit
    -Cloud City tunic/dress

But...knowing me, I won't get anything done this year. P:

Holy crap I haven't been on these forums in forever! But with CV looming I need to get back into gear.

In 2009 the only star wars stuff I managed to get done was making an original concept Jedi costume, and ordering the hard parts for my Jaina x-wing flightsuit.
I made about 9 anime costumes in 2009 and revamped Tonks (Harry Potter).

For CV I'm hoping to have:
    Jaina Solo - Invinvible Cover
Jaina Solo - Refugee/Reunion cover depends if I make it brown or green)
    Jaina Solo - X-Wing Pilot
Marasiah Fel - Jedi version from the comics
Deliah Blue (If I get an airbrush machine...as she is pink.) ^_^

Other stuff I'm working on this year:
    Grell Sutcliffe (Kuro****suji)
Euphemia Li Britannia (Code Geass - Clamp art ballgown)
    Setsuna F. Seiei (Gundam 00)
    Xerxes Break (Pandora Hearts)
    Alice (Pandora Hearts)
    Nia Teppelin (Gurren Lagann)
Allen Walker (D. Gray Man - third uniform - crowned clown)
Lenalee Lee (D. Gray Man - Third uniform)
    Sakura Haruno (Naruto Shippuden)
Tamaki Suoh (Ouran High School Host Club)
Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto - Secret cosplay!)
Kyoshi Warrior (Avatar - The last airbender - for the movie premier)

    Here's my goals:

-Restart and Finish Jedi Costume (before the end of May)
    -Join RL
-Slave Leia (if I can lose some weight)
    -Chainmail Vest

Not a lot but I'm still learning and I'm completely broke.

C1, I think you'll find the chainmail vest will take up so much time that not having as many projects will seem like a good thing. :p

I'm tentatively adding one of the costumes from the new Alice in Wonderland movie to my list. I'll try to find stills of it once the film is out. I'm calling it Alice's "I'm On A Boat" dress, because I actually have no context for the costume, I just know she's on a boat. But, if I can swing it, I want to have it by New York ComiCon, since it involves a coat that might be a little too warm for most SoCal events, but would be great for October in New York!

I know that costume and coat! I actually bought a pattern to make my own version of the coat as a regular winter coat :D Funny thing is, you could wear the entire costume as regular clothes here in NYC and look like a native lol. It would fit in with the art crowds in the village.

I had to check it up on Costumer's guide, but that is a lovely coat. I would have no problems wearing that as a normal coat. I actually have a pattern somewhere for a style like that, but I've realised that the cost of fabric would actually end up higher than me buying something similar in a store.

Oh good, it's actually semi-public knowledge. :p I can never keep track of what's readily available an what's not. But yeah, I love that costume. I need to see if I can grab a playlist of the sa sequence to get better reference of it. Not that I would do costume research at work... [face_whistling]

Well- I am a newbie to the boards, however for 2010 I do have a list of remakes and 2 new costumes

    Remakes:
My Padme flight suit- I basicaly want to redo the whole thing, it was ok, but not as accurate as I wanted
Hubby's Darth Maul belt and robe refashion- I need to make the pleats better and th ebelt needs to be adjustable since he lost 5lbs right before wearing it and it wasn't as snug as we wanted.

    New Costumes:
Ahsoka space suit and headpiece for daughter
Anakin Clone Wars costume for son

The new ones I would like to get done by CV, we are planning on going and the munchkins want to go in costume, they'd wear the 2 new ones and the 2 from halloween that I made.

:D Should be easy enough- at least I'm not making 6 whole costumes from scratch again!!

I hope to finish my Katara (Avatar The Last Airbender) costume.
Finish my Native American costume for Halloween.
Start my Padme Episode I Battle costume.
That's all. Keep it simple. I hope.

You're probably right. :p I haven't started on it yet.

I love that dress! :D I saw some pictures of it awhile ago, I don't know if you've seen them yet or if they'll help any, but I'll see if I can find the link.

    EDIT: Here's the link :)

Hello, new here (sort of, I used to post here years ago). My family and I are getting back into costuming after taking several years off. We're planning to go to Marcon (in Columbus, OH) this year and we're working on some stuff. Here's our list:

    1. Jedi robe for my jedi
    2. Jedi robe and proper colored tabards for my wife's jedi (she currently has a "Corellian green" set)
    3. Juno Eclipse for my youngest daughter - she actually looks quite like the character
    4. Converting an old lightsaber to LED - I have a saber I got a long time ago at Dragon*Con that I built into an EL, but now I'm going to switch it to LED

That's about it for now, trying to take it a little easy in getting back into the costuming and prop stuff. My personal goal is to learn to use a sewing machine myself so my wife doesn't have to do all the work!

I finished one project this year! My Kaylee Shindig dress is done and took home some awards at Farpoint (Best Recreation, Best Workmanship, 1st place Champion's Cup).

I plan on finally getting around to making my Mando armor. Even though I can't go to comic-con, since they're already sold out, I kinda want to have it done around that time. I also hope to get a set made for my brother, for next years comic-con.

And, I'm hoping to get my Jedi and Sith costumes done as well. Although they're not a real high priority at the moment. I honestly don't want them to be done before CC, because then I'll be to conflicted on which costume to where. lol

Other than that, just come what may. If I get really inspired to do something, and actually have the cast at the time, then I will... Perhaps I'll make a cardboard box robot. lol
