Thanks guys. That was only a few parts of it (cloak, vest/sash, boots) with a few other things to make the Dark Jedi look. :)

Bryan, was definitely excited to see bits of ROTJ Luke. Can't wait to see it done.

Thinking it's time to dust off my Jedi Costume and make sure it fits still. Yeah?

Most definitely. That will be needed in the summertime I'm sure. :)

Got the Luke pants and belt back today! Sadly it looks like the glove in the size I need is on back order for 2 weeks.

Helped my dad with a trip to the junkyard to sell some scraps today. Ended up coming home with some hoses and fittings for my gaunts, and some aluminum cones that just may work for jetpack pieces. Score.

Put in an order for another set of lekku. I hope to have them for the December 11th party. They'll be flesh colored. Just need to decide what I'll do for the leather strapping around the lekku... Also thinking about
sewing new jedi shirt and obi for the costume. I'll probably have to wait for after the holidays for that!

Picked up Kyle's Darth Nihilus mask tonight. This should make for a great backup character!

(Don't worry Antoine, as far as I'm concerned you always have first refusal on being Nihilus at events. :) )

Just ordered a blackout mask for Nihilus.

Here's a pic of the Nihilus mask itself:

Looks cool. Do you also have to wear a stocking mask?

I was gonna ask if that was Kyle's when I saw it on facebook or twitter.
Good to see someone is gonna wear it after all this time.

The Wampa costume construction I was talking about earlier today is under a series of videos on YouTube called mywampadotcom. I thought perhaps some of the mechanics would help Dan with his Grevious project?...

While cleaning teh basement to make room for gift wrapping, i moved the box with my gunner helmet and new Vader as well. It made me wish I had the time to work on them. Vader will be first of course.

Received my new lekku. I'll need to coat the whole thing with some make-up that is closer to my skin tone. I'm considering adding some spots to the crown as well.
Eventually, I'll also need to get a new jedi outfit together (something a little more flowing...). No idea when all of this will be complete!

How far off are the lekku from your skin tone, Michelle?

Also, I haven't noticed really, but if you tend to tan in the summertime, be sure to note that when you're picking out a color to dye/paint/makeup the lekku. :)

The lekku are a fair bit lighter than my skin tone. I don't tan an extreme amount in the summer... I'll have the headband between the lekku and my head so the colors don't need to be perfect but I would like it to look as "natural" as possible. Is there a specific makeup that theater folk use on latex that you would know about? I am considering just making a trip to Sephora sometime and applying actual makeup to the lekku...

There's a store in Eastern Hills Mall called George and Company that has pretty good theatrical make-up. It will be more appropriate for Latex than anything from Sephora. Possibly cheaper, too.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been there once before. I should probably try them out before I head to Sephora!

Honestly, my vote is to use paint or dye or something more permanent, instead of makeup. The makeup is only going to come off the latex and you'll need to reapply it all the time. Kind of defeats the purpose of having lekku to match your skin tone.
