Sent it in. Hope whoever gets mine likes what I came up with.
Don't ask me why, but for some reason that reminded me of La Farce de maître Pierre Pathelin... except it's a medieval French farce rather than an obscure French satire and it involves sheep rather than ducks.
Agh! If only I could send in two dares! BAH! (<-- if you know La Farce de maître Pierre Pathelin, then you will get that reference ).
I just sent my dare in and BOY is it a doozy!
Sent my dare in. It's in the AU fixer fic category.
Sent mine in, too.
I can hardly wait to read it.
Dare sent in.
Mine's in. Hopefully it will actually be written this year. And I hope I don't get something like last year's. Knowing my luck, though, it'll be just as bad, or possibly worse...
Entered. SO looking forwards to this again...
I just want one that 1) is not from the same person as the past three years 2) can fit into less than 45k words and still have pacing and 3) is an actual challenge!
Sent my dare in!! This is going to be fun
I do have a question about the rules or process or what have you. Is voting for our favorite in each era something new for this year? Is each era winner getting colors this year, or will it still be narrowed down to an overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd?
Who will get mine
That was how we did it last year and it seemed to work out okay. And, yes, it'll be an overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Allowing votes in each era gives everyone a little more flexibility, especially if they don't want to have to choose just one fave.
Question: If whoever gets my dare chickens out and doesn't write it, is the dare still eligible for the Most Outrageous Dare prize?
Should I be worried for whoever does...?
Oooooooo.... I love wild and crazy stories. I'm in! Good luck to the author that gets my dare.
I'm contemplating multi-lingual parodies of obscure French satire set in 9000 BBY involving a duck... - Please don't give me this one! - The only French I know is Pepe LePew. And Bon Appetite!
Oh, don't worry, PT, I included a demand for one line of non-Basic dialogue, but the rest of it is positively reasonable! Well, reasonable if you don't combine all of the other things...
Yes! All dares submitted are eligible for Most Outrageous.
W00t! Good news. I really hope mine gets written, but given my parameters, I will understand if the people aren't tough enough.
And the posturing begins.
Sent one in - actually, I'm quite pleased...
I don't think it'll be easy, but I DO think it will take some thought!!
Hmmm, let's see. To properly do mine, you have to have been a trilingual refugee Senatorial aide with an IQ of...
Yeah, I'm not all that.
Just a reminder that today is the last day to send in your Dare!
can you believe that I sign up here just to do this challenge? I am so in *evil grin*. I've been quite a lurker of this board. haven't got the chance to sign up, but when I saw this challenge, I quickly hit the button "sign up". So count me in =P
LOL, better late than never-ish.
