Applause erupts from all corners of the audience, as SoA stares starry-eyed at the new arrival. Dressed in queenly finery with her hair done up in a gravity-defying style most would find impossible, the queen of Naboo glided across the stage.

?Welcome to the Saga Fanfiction Awards Ceremony, Queen Amidala,? SoA stammers in awe, then shakily passes off the mic.

?Thank you very much,? she nods politely, ?It is an honor to be here. The next category is Best Short Story. The nominees are:?

The lights go out again, plunging the auditorium into darkness.

?General!? Lady Tahiri calls.

?On it!? General Kenobi yells back and running footsteps are heard from backstage.

Suddenly a faint blue glow illuminates the podium from the lightsaber-spoon in SoA's hand. ?This time I was prepared,? she says. Waving the spoon over her list, she reads, squinting, ?Our nominees for Best Canon Interpretation, Male are:?

Anakin flushed red and shoved his hands into his pockets.
