Have my new work schedule and doesn't look like I'm going to make the next meeting Feb 7. Have fun discussing "Red Harvest". I'm sure I'll give you my opinion in person another time.
I should be able to make this meeting! If anyone wants them, I have 2 Legacy of the Force books. They are hardback book club editions, and they need a nice home. I have Sacrifice and Revelation. If anyone wants to give them a new home, let me know and I'll bring them with me.
Hated Legacy of the Force so much that your just giving away your SW books? Jammies \you my nerfherder
No, I had them all from a book club, but I wanted paperback books. I like them better on my shelves I recently got those 2 in paperback, so I have the others taking up the extra space I need. I actually liked that series a lot, even though one of my favorites went to the dark side. \you my nerfherder! nerfherders rule!
I say this: The NJO was a great IDEA with a so-so exicution. (some GREAT writing, some decent, no consistant sub plots); while LOTF was a BAD idea with great writing ( a re-hash of the PT staring the young jedi knights for no frelling good reason, but the writing was outstanding-- KT's jedi bashing aside[ but she did a great job with Fett]).
Well, color me red and call me an idiot. For some reason I thought the meeting was tonight, so I was very surprised when I didn't see any of you there....lol! /jumping the gun //week early...lol!
Master of Force Confusion huh? taps finger on jaw..... Hmmmmmm..... Yes, I could do this. POWERFUL IN THE FORCE CONFUSION AM I. Yes, hmmmmm?? .... Powerful.
Hey guys,,,, I hope the meeting went well. How did it go? We were snowed in up on the hill. No kidding. Ice and snow were treacherous up here beginning around 6:00pm, Roe Hill wasn't to be messed with, and I still have snow on the ground that is about 3 inch. deep. To top it off, when I tried to get on line, the clouds were so thick that I had no internet reception with Satellite. I love satellite, except for when the clouds are thick, then its.... what satellite? At any rate, we apologize for missing the meeting, and then not posting that we werent going to even be there. Things snow balled on us. Literally.
It was good. We figured you were snowed in. It was me, 11-11, Jammies, Darth Pancreatis, Mrs. Mika and Kepare. We stayed till about 9 just gabbing. The book wasn't hated but everyone seemed to feel the same way about it...ehhhhh...wouldn't have missed anything if you didn't read it.
I would of had the best time, but unfortunately Jammies was there. Other than that it was a great meeting! So happy that Sara came!!!
Yea, Appo and I pretty much felt the same way as all of you about the book. Eh... I'm glad I purchased the book, and I'm glad we read it. But I think we've had enough Zombie themed Star Wars. And I was some what disappointed. I thought he would have picked it up from the last book. Not start off with something completely different. And..... it was harder for me to believe this story line. Still, we're glad to have it in our library.
