Buff, NY 2011 North Ridge Office Election Thread - Nominations Closed

It was agreed upon at the brief meeting held at the Halloween Party that we will vote for 3 Diplomats and Secretary for 2011.

The Secretary's duties are as follows:
- take accurate notes of the topics discussed at the monthly meetings
- post the notes in a timely fashion for all to read and archive
- take attendance & verify a majority is present for major group votes
- track open items that roll to future meetings

Diplomats are the official back up to Dan & I. They help us resolve complex issues that may arise and also act as the check and balance for the President and VP. Diplomats are NR leaders who may be contacted by members with any serious issues that require atention. The voted positions will be added to a central email address for easy contact.

All members interested in holding a position and/or voting in the election must have paid their dues. Please see Larry and Janice if you are interested in paying the dues and be added to the active roster for voting.




Effective immediately, nominations are being accepted for (1) Secretary and (3) Diplomats. Nominations will close on Thursday December 2. A one day quiet period will take place, then voting will beging December 3 and end Friday December 17. All results will be announced at the Holiday Party and posted shortly after for those who are unable to attend.

Anyone nominated must eiher accept or decline their nomination. Seconds are not required.

I'll keep a running tab of those who have been nominated and the status of their acceptance/declination.

When submitting nominations, you do not need to nominate 3 people for Diplomat. Voting will take place between all members nominated and accepted.

Are we allowed to self-nominate?

 

I would like to nominate Michelle for Diplomat, if she chooses to accept.

I would like to nominate myself for a Diplomat position.

 

I'd be glad to serve as diplomat if elected.

 

Darn it you beat me to it....and I am being serious.

I nominate both Anna and Steve if they are both eligible to run for office.

 

I would happily accept a nomination for Diplomat or secretary.

 

Just a reminder as Chris stated in his first post

Are the current Diplomats automatically on the ballot?

 

I will be eligible ASAP (check is in the mail hehehe)

Not automatically. The current staff will need to be nominated.
