Lou, KY 2012 GALACTIC ALLIANCE BOOK CLUB READS AND MEETING DATES

I'd like to put "Splinter of a Mind's Eye" up for vote again. Or we need to have a "Books Older Than Dar" month again.

When is the December meeting? First post says Friday Dec 3...Dec 3 is a Monday.

 

I'm ok for that one too as I haven't read it either. I'm pretty much go for most of the books as I'm new to a majority of them.

 

I would say that Monday Dec. 3 it is then Mika... and I can not wait. I love our book club meetings. ... Even if I haven't read the book.

All good ideas, and I happen to have some good book ideas my self! All in good time; but the first book for 2013 WILL be Scoundrels, by Tim Zahn.

 

Also, do we have a release date for Troy Denning's new book? Is that 2013, or 2014?

Great book club and discussion as usual. Thanks to everyone for coming out and agreeing to pumpkin pancakes afterwards. I had a great time shooting the breeze with everyone.

Timothy Zahn will be doing a small book tour for Scoundrels...no mention of any KY (or nearby) locations...

Maybe because he was just here for Fright Night Film Fest? And his panels were so poorly promoted/attended? I hope not. It would be one more reason to be angry at the FNFF promoters.

 

We know Timothy Zahn's "Scoundrels" will be our February book (which is out today BTW), but what is our meet date? Can we get a 2013 thread started?

 

Yea got it yesterday and will start it this evening, if nothing gets in the way....

 

Sure Boss, we can start a 2013 thread. I let Zannah handle the logistics, like dates; but going by the alternating first Mondays and first Fridays-- we will be discussing Scoundrels Friday February 1st.
Of course, my Sithly Sister from another Mister can chime in with a difinative date
