Chatt, TN 2014 Christmas parades

We had to skip the annual Hamilton Place Santa Arrival parade this year (we already had a scheduled event elsewhere) AND the downtown Chattanooga parade was cancelled, but never fear! We have 2 parades coming up that we'll be a part of.

First up is the Ft Oglethorpe Christmas parade. This will be on Saturday, December 6th at 6:00pm. Any costume is ok for this (and feel free to "Christmas" it up). We're also planning on having a Lego costume building day on Tuesday (Dec 2) and Friday (Dec 5) for those that want to put together a quick and easy costume. Our Lego Vader, Spider-Man, Batman, and people from the Lego Movie have been a big hit at other events, so you'll get plenty of use out of whatever character you'd like to make.

The Saturday after that (Dec 13) is the Lookout Valley Christmas Parade. We did this one early in Chattooine's existence, so it's cool to get back and do this one again. Lineup starts at 9:00am and again... any costume is ok for this one as well.

The Fort Oglethrope parade on Dec 6th went great! We teamed up with the local Walmart to help them build their float (Lego-themed). Then with "Everything is Awesome" blasting out of the speakers, we had Lego versions of Batman, Emmett, Wyldstyle, Benny the Space Guy, Anakin Skywalker, and Santa on the float with non-Lego versions of Batgirl and Harley Quinn helping toss out candy. This coming Saturday is the Lookout Valley parade. This will be in the morning and open to all characters.

 

The Lookout Valley parade was awesome! We had a great turnout with friends from The Rebel Legion, 501st, and the Mando Mercs. We all shared a float (turns out we could have used a 2nd one).
