Luca Montezemelo has stepped down as chairman of Ferrari and Scuderia Ferrari.

 

I'm sad to see the end of Luca. That really is the end of that whole 1990's and 2000's era.

 

FIA bans radio assistance

 

So now it's a competition to develop a code that the FIA can't break.

 

And, because of that, in a few years radio assistance will be allowed again, as was the case with team orders.

Not sure about anyone else, but it's always really wierd for me to see pictures of him pre-crash. If you follow F1 in Austria and Germany, he and his red hat are everywhere.

 

It's amazing how much Bruhl and Lauda look a like.

 

They need to look at how light these cars are, and the unexpected launch capability of these little 'sausage curbs'.

 

I'll be seeing a Hamilton/Rosberg event in 50mins.

 

I actually feel bad for Rosberg after that - Lewis playing massive head games.

I can also be seen, albeit briefly, in official AMG Petronas F1 twitter pics from the event.

 

Specific rules on radio assistance

Final item in the "not allowed" list: "Any message that appears to be coded."

Now I'm waiting on someone to develop a radio code that uses specific combinations and sequences of permitted radio messages to mean something that's prohibited.

Oh, and yes, Singapore. I have yet to watch an F1 night race. I need to make a point of waking up early Sunday morning to watch this one, both because it's a night race and because I predict mass confusion with the new radio assistance rules.

 

Is it just me that thinks that changing rules mid season is ridiculously unfair.

Watching a replay of P2 on American TV. Apparently there's talk about possibly three-car teams next season, or sometime soon? I didn't catch all of the comments about it.

Having watched F1 off and on for like ALMOST 2 years, I feel qualified to say they're always talking about three-car teams.

 

Alonso and Riccardo looking good in FP3. So far I've bought RBR shirt (2014), Williams shirt (2014), Webber's 2012 car by Minichamps and an RBR hat. No more Enders.

 

The Williams-Martini shirts do look alright. Especially on Susie Wolff.
