Sounds like the starting plot to Allen Steele's Coyote where they go off to another star for decades of travel and one guy wakes up by mistake. He proceeds to right an epic fantasy on the walls of the ship as he ages over the decades.

Independence Day: Resurgence has the whiff of nostalgia fail about it.

 

I think I might be more excited for Rogue One than the Force Awakens.

 

Great. Now Independence Day: Resurgence is destined for all-time top 10 status.

 

Superhero movies are as sci-fi as Left Behind.
You can choose, Hogarth: they're action movies with a fantasy element, or very very soft sci-fi.

 

This also stars Chris Pratt and will be helm by the director of the Imitation Game. The budget is to be about $120 million. Just based on the stars cast, I'm looking forward to this movie.

with that kind of cast it's dead certain to be moved out of the path of Rogue One, particularly if TFA is a monster hit

BTW, is this the first year EVAR where a Star Wars movie and a Star Trek movie will be released in the same calendar year? ROTJ and STIII were 1983 and 1984, respectively; I think that's the closest the two franchises have come. Am I missing one?

 

II and RotJ are almost exactly a year apart.

 

AOTC and Nemesis were in the same year.
