Steely Dan co - founder Water Becker.
Was he on anyone's list?
Saw that on BBC News. I don't think I have any of their albums but I do like some of their songs.
67 is not young at all. Ugh
There was an Oscar Goldman doll? And people bought it? The main thing I remember about him was he had a really nice office.
Poet John Ashbery
Yeah, I heard about this one this morning.
Their debut album, Can't Buy A Thrill, was on regular rotation whenever Mum or Dad had music playing around the house.
I have some very fond memories of that record, i'll find some time to listen to it today.
Maybe the thread should be retitled "The Dead Celebrity (incl. dead pool) Thread"?
Nice office, fabulous comb-over and a smart houndstooth jacket. They also made a playset of said office.
That suitcase is way better than the roll-up skin on the Steve Austin doll's arm.
Hear, hear. A.) Creepy. B.) After 40+ years it actually looks worse than Lee Majors' actual arm skin.

Actress Novella Nelson.

I liked him in Daredevil. Shame to see him go.
Two from country music.
Country legend Don Williams.
Troy Gentry from the duo MontgomeryGentry. He died in a heliocopter crash.
Also former child star Blake Herron.
So Long, Don Williams. Huge influence on Clapton's mid-late 70s sound (along with JJ Cale).
SF author Jerry Pournelle
One of the best.
The single stage to orbit test vehicle called DC-X happened in part to his influence. I did not read a lot of his fiction, his science writing are a must.
