I listed to him read Game of Thrones...well some of it, before Youtube yanked it. He really liked to do voices. I could never work out why he gave Jaime and Cersei posh english accents, and then Tyrion sounded a bit welsh.

And of course Dotrice had a small role as Wisdom Hallyne in season 2 of Game of Thrones. He was originally cast as Pycelle, but his health forced him to withdraw from that role.

Well I suppose I shouldn't expect it to resonate a whole lot with the eastern hemisphere. But on this side of the planet? Kiiiiiind of a big deal.

Maybe we can alternate: on odd-numbered days “Who” and on even-numbered days “They we’re still alive?!!”

Very sad but not something I didn't see coming. For those following, Gord had been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour. I've only been a fan of The Tragically Hip the last two years but they've made a huge impact on me. I'm still collecting their albums.

So far my favourite is Trouble At The Henhouse.

Giving that a spin right now.

    RIP, Gord.

Day for Night would have to be my favourite.

I first saw the Hip live back in 2005. They were opening for the Stones. It was quite a show. I caught one of Gord's Secret Path shows last fall, it was indescribably wonderful, powerful and humbling.

    RIP, Gord

I don't have this one but I do notice it has one of my all time favourite tracks by the band on there, Nautical Disaster.

I’d just like to point out that today is an odd-numbered day. Well done!

Daisy Berkowitz (real name Scott Putesky), the original guitarist of Marilyn Manson, has lost his battle with colon cancer at the age of 49.

Berkowitz played on Manson's debut album, Portrait of an American Family and the remix/covers EP Smells Like Children before leaving the band over creative differences during the writing process of Manson's sophomore album, Antichrist Superstar.

His stage name was derived from Daisy Duke from Dukes of Hazard and the Son of Sam Killer David Berkowitz, as until Zim Zum joined the band, Marilyn Manson and his bandmates adopted stage names derived from popular female icons and serial killers.

I think both Harvey Weinstein and Bill O'Reilly would make really good long shot bets right now. The worlds are collapsing and you wonder if they will physically survive.

No matter who gets cast in the live-action Lion King remake, only Robert Guillaume will be the true Rafiki.

Heck, with the exception of the sleepy-voiced Matthew Broderick, this was one of the best voice casts ever.
