Escape from Aaron was a Japanese game produced way back:

"Early on in the days of video games, Namco somehow got the Star Wars license in Japan, and released Star Wars (what I call Namco Star Wars) on the Famicom, the Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System. Its your basic platformer with rather straightforeward levels; basically all you do is jump and kill enemies."

What I was wondering, is what does the name mean? Is Aaron a planet or what?

I think this is more regarding the continuity of an obscure game than mechanics or other gameplay issues, so probably fits in better here than Games.

Just going by that quote, Aaron could be anything/one. Some military commander of an opposing faction, name of an installation, planet, etc...kinda hard to pin it on anything in particular : \

what i meant though was that someone in the gameing forum may be more familiar with the title and what it entails.

Have you been to the gaming forum recently? If it's not from the Jedi Knight or KOTOR series, or Empire at War...

And anyways, way too many ignorant leetspeakers there.

Its really a very rare game, and finding its game systems are just as hard: it uses the Amstrad and the ZX Spectrum.

    Here's a brief synopsis from temusb.com:

(Amstrad version) One of the few games released during the Star Wars wilderness years, this puzzle-based graphic RPG was loosely based upon the short-lived and seriously underrated Droids cartoon series.

(Spectrum version) Released at the same time as the Amstrad version, this childrens cartoon tie-in game failed to live up to the expectations of Star Wars gamers and soon faded into ambiguity.

There are emulators for these games, but I've never used them.

so is it safe to say then, that the meaning of Aaron can be discovered through watching the Droids cartoon?
