Who remembers what theater the movies played at?

All I remember was the Rainbow but did it play at Cinaplex too.

 

The sponcership for our May 18th celebration looks good. I spent 6 hours going around and talking with business and here's where we're at.

Comic book Colector- will see what they can come up with.
Neo Tokyo- Definitely
World's Away- will se what they can come up with.
L.A. Moods- Definitely
Hero's- will se what they can come up with.
City Lights books- Definitely
Imperial Hobbies- Passed
McCulloch's- Thinking about it.
Comander Salamander- Has to be past on to manager.
Laser Quest- Has to be past on to manager.
Burger King- Has to pass it regial office.
Fabricland- Has to pass it regial office.
Best Buy- will see what they can come up with.
AB Comics- Thinking about it.
SunRise- Has to be past on to manager.
Zellers- Has to be past on to manager.
That Party Place- Has to be past on to manager.
The Home Depot- Has to be past on to manager.
Chapters- Has to be past on to manager but unlikely because they only donate to breast cancer.

well the first of the donations arrived on friday. We got some books and a comic book toy set. Robert you're gonna have to come over to get it because I can't get out there because I have 3 weeks left here and I still have lots to do before i move.

 

I'll be over Wed. between noon & 2:00 PM.

Here is a new schedual for the event.


6:00 AM. We meet in the park and stake our site for the day. Also known as the line up.
We also get things set up and ready.

There will be free gifts for the first to arrive ( while Quantities last).
( paper masks, book marks and door hangers.)
The T-shirts and other things can be acquired with donations.
Run by Christine

9:00 AM. The first events start with the
-Thermal detonator toss: run by Lord_Robert & Dath_Sniklefitz
-sniper shot: run by Tarlynn & darthsolvo
-Tug of War: run by Fantyx & Rabellaka

11:00 AM. The costume contest.

12:00 PM. Lunch time. Hot dogs for everyone.

1:00 PM. Second events will start.
-The Jedi / Padawan race: run by Dalesabers & Tarlyn
-The trooper march: run by Lord_Robert & DarthPapa
-The lightsaber contest: Run by Rebellaka & darthsolvo & Fantyx
Everything should be done by 4:00 PM.

If your not on this list or can confirm a volunteer to help. Please post it.
Last year we had many volunteers who did not show up. So we have to have at lest one member asigned to each event.

My schedule is way to busy. You could drop the stuff off at the video store that we rent from they would pass it along.

The garrison is open from 6:00 PM. to 9:00 PM. Sundays. The rest of the time it is locked up. I have trust in the members that go to the meetings that nothing gets stolen during that time. However, for all my atemps to get people to contribute to the garrison, there never was enough support to be able to get anything like insurance. Aside from any unforseen brake-ins, anything that you left there would still be there next time you come to visit.

 

well igot a book from anderson- An advanced copy of his latest book from the Dune series. It's not even out till july.

 

I had an idea yesterday... I've spent a bit of time this week making origami X-wings and Millenium Falcons at work, and I could either make some really nice ones as prizes, like a participation prize, or I could teach people how to make some.

 

I have a cubevan for the celebration. However, the cost of the truck means no St. Johns this year.

 

You've got a van already and I have a pick-up so we would probably be ok as far as transporting things. We could make more than one trip to the park and I can store some stuff in my garage so we don't have to run out to the Garrison.

The van has a 16' box so we can load everthing Saterday evening and take it all in one move, except food. We'll be getting there a 6:00 AM. so we have 3 hours to unload. Plus it gives those people with elaborate costumes a changing room..

 

So I think it's to clod to go for a walk on Sunday. At lest it is for the trooper.

 

regular meeting time at the Garrison then?

 

I wouldn't be able to walk anyway, because I hurt my ankle/foot yesterday, and walking is a real pain. My father may be coming for dinner tonight, so I don't know if I'd be able to get to the Garrison either.
