300: Rise of an entire generation of americans having misconceptions about greeks and persians

 

Agree the 300 will not age well. But still a much better movie.

Saw the movie tonight, took my dad.

IF this is your thing then maybe a matinee or watch something else and sneak into this.

As predicted by many is was pretty bad 4/10. Not gonna bother with historic things done well, as I said 4/10.

Lena Headey was boring but looks good for 40-41? Eva Green is mega hot to me in this movie. Purely on looks

I think she is gorgeous already and getting nice long views of her really nice (and bigger breasts than I thought-they are not fake)

She is on my top 5 list (Im being sexist here I suppose) of celebrities that I would really want a long night of anything goes.

At the same time I hardly follow the details about her life, Ive simply seen Kingdom of Heaven, Casino Royale and the TV series on cable

maybe 1/2 the eps.

As a reminder the movie is very much about male eye candy for the ladies so Im certainly ok with however crude any ladies go

about …………..whoever and what they would do. This movie will not make 100m domestic and 300 I believe did almost exactly 300m domestic US.

 

Rise of an Empire indeed.

 

The important thing about this movie is that there are hot women in it.

 

I give it 4 out of 10 boobs.

 

You neglected to address whether or not there were War Rhinos. Jabba-wocky needs to know.

 

Lol, was the first review from Mr Skin? I kind of wanted to go for Xerxes' background, but I'm not all that interested.

 

Just saw this. Good stuff but all I really felt while watching was I wanted to watch the first film more. While the visuals were entertaining enough they werent as iconic and epic as the first and just as I was hoping that something epic would happen the sequence ends. Cinematic blue balls lol. Even some of the slow mo sequences seems like a waste, focusing on random things rather than the conventional use of showing grand splash pages in comics.

 

This movie sucked so much. After you see this movie you'll praise the "story" of the first one. Just terrible, I was hoping id choke on my popcorn to take me out of my misery. Well not really but.

 

I can't wait until they make a hyperstylized account of the Battle of Bunker Hill with a shirtless muscle-bound George Washington firing armloads of muskets at Super Mega King George III.

 

I watched it, it was overall, ok but still had a few problems.

I think the sex scene was dumb and totally unnecessary, it made Eva Green like an idiot, and the end looked like the climax ended when it just began, everything else was ok. Eva Green's character could have been more intelligent.

I see that the original 300 film is not on the various cable channels like any other sequel spawning film would be.

 

Went and saw it. It was underwhelming and fairly mediocre until the last half hour when it picks up and then abruptly and hilariously ends.

 

Saw it tonight, the action scenes were fun to watch, but the story structure was very disjointed. It would bounce around from Persian thing, then Greek thing, then battle, then some Persian thing again, and then some more Greek troops, then back to the Greek political stuff - a very off kilter story structure. Yes, it was what was taking place as Leonidas and his men were going to/were in/after battle, and I think that is part of what made it so tough to effectively write in the first place. This is the same problem I had with "Inception", the writers tried to cover far too much ground in the time allotted and it was very difficult to follow without drawing out some kind of a chart.

That being said, Eva Green has always been one of my favorite actresses, very underrated, I just wish she was given more here than just casting long looks over yet another naval battle scene or being portrayed as a walking sex toy.

 

Totally, and the sex scene was garbage.

They should have kept her alive in the end so people would be more interested in the sequel.

 

They should have tried to produce a franchise that was based on something more than a combination of racism, misogyny, and violence. But maybe that's asking too much.

 

Yeah, the Persians weren't that horrible and the Greeks WERE not that good, their "democracy" is built upon slavery.

 

Xerxes's "origins" seemed fairly half-assed and not really worth showing.

 

Im being honest cause Im lazy, what movies get down and really show lots of nudity? Her TV show? She used sex as a weapon-

That horse scene at the end looked like a video game...not good.
