Bravo! This should be fun. We had a good time at the Plano convention center when they had the comic con some time ago.

Does Amy Allen go to every convention in the country?

 

As of late, it would seem so. I did notice that too.

 

I'm going to try and make it to this event. How big/little is the Plano convention center?

 

I just know that it has one large convention room and about sixteen rooms for breakout sessions and small group presentations. I would say that it was the size of a high school football field including the stadium seats.

WOW! Cool! When and were? I would love to go. Danny, do you wanna carpool, or are you even going??

 

When: Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 12noon-5pm. As an added benefit, VIP and SpeedPass will be allowed into the exhibit hall and the autograph room at 10am on Saturday.

Where: Plano Convention Center (just north of Dallas) located at 2000 E Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. FREE Parking.

 

That sounds so cool!! I'm really gonna see if I can't make it to that! But I may have to be back in Florida by then, but I'm not sure yet!! How many people do you know that are going??

 

We could probably try that (carpool). So far I am going to try and make it to this.

I'm only debating on if I want to go for a day or for the full weekend (more leaning toward the full weekend though).

 

Yeah I think so too! Hopefully I'll have one or two of the costumes ready for it! I dunno, but My mum, sister, and her husband may wanna go too, so we'll be taking the Suburban so everyone can fit!! You're more than welcome to join us! But then again they may not go wither, so we;'ll just have to play it by ear!!

 

Sorry! Double post here, but I just realized I may already be back in Florida then, but you never know. So like I said, we'll wait and see what develops!

JUST FYI

I have booked at the Red Roof Inn which is about a 2-3 minute drive away from the convention hall for $47.99/night which is the cheapest price that I found and at a super close distance. I believe it is just for one queen though. I have stayed at it before and a met with a bunch of other Con goers staying there. One time a ran into an Imperial guard waxing his helmet in the hallway. How often does that happen to a person? The rooms have the bare minimum essentials, but I hardly spent anytime in the rooms because after the Con, I went to see some of the Dallas sites anyways.

 

Thanks Phuong_Solo ... I completely forgot about reserving a room (in case I need one for spending the weekend there).

There are sites in Dallas? lol. Well, I guess among the many downsides of living here, atleast this event will be within driving distance....I live in Denton...just North of Dallas. If I were you, I'd see the sites in Ft. Worth...more history and cowboys!

Hasbro will be attending this Con and speaking about and displaying some of their upcoming product line.

 

That makes me wanna go even more!!!

I'm on a mission now: to arrange my schedule in such a way as to be able to attend!!!

I so wanna go now!!!! I'm am going to die, because I can't go!! I've always wanted to meet Amy Allen & Julian Glover!!!! This is so not fair!!!

 

I know I will be there. I might be able to get a few signatures this time, as I really didn't want to stand in the long lines at CIV ... I figure the lines might be a little long for this convention but nothing like CIV.

 

Danpa, do you think you could get Amy Allen's and Julian Glover's autographs for me??? I would love you forever if you did, well I already love you forever, but I'd love you even more!!
