St. Lou, MO 3rd Meeting Agenda

Ok, this is where we can figure out what we need to talk about at our meeting

1) Official Name
According to this poll we have chosen The Arch Vader Society but we'll discuss it at the meeting, make sure them non net junkies agree to it

2) Banner and Icon
We're goina be able to design our own banner and icon.
We do have a thread with some ideas for icons here
There is also a thread with a banner idea here
Now, we won't limit ourselves on out choices, if you want to make a banner or an icon, go ahead.
We'll figure out how we want to choose them at the meeting

3) City Representative
How shall we go about picking one? Any ideas will be appreciated, Bobafemme

4) Future Meetings
How often will we have meetings.
Where will we have these meetings.
That kind of thing.

I know we are only just about to become an Offical Fanforce (Yippeeeee!!!!) But I've been meaning to bring somthing up. I know that other groups work for charities. It's just a thought, but mabey latter on when we are a more founded group we could look into stuff like that. Besides getting to share are passion for the wonderful Star Wars Universe, we could do somthing for a good cause.

 

I think that's a wonderful idea, there are a ton of walks that go on in the area to raise money for things like that

 

Well I know of one person that has really kept an eye on things around here and did the final push.

I find a great CR has these attributes:

• ability to get along with myriad of personaliities



• can help newbies by suggesting useful threads, or how to find the TOS



• is around year-round and able to devote time to the boards and is reliable



• has ideas for fun things to do for the group



• can balance leadership and fun



• CRs must be at least 18 years old



• understands the rules of FF and can help others without being 'bossy'

If you all aren't quite ready to pick a CR at this meeting, don't feel rushed. If need be, you can postpone deciding a CR until the next meeting. I would not recommend voting in a poll or emails. Since FF is about SW fans meeting and connecting in real life, it's best to determine your board representative in real life as well.

well im not sure about you guys but i would nominate tabee for the cr. she fits all of those things and does a great job around here. so if it comes to a vote, tabee, youve got mine without a doubt.

if your parents have an issue with you meeting people from the internet, then offer to let one of them come with you. Or ask an older sibling, close family friend. Someone your parents trust.

I might be able to get my Uncle to come, who is a big Star Wars fan. But I think he might be working that day.

 

Good news, My mom said I "might" which is way better than a flat out NO.

now for me I will prolly be hyper/grouchy on the 21st...work went ahead and scheadualed me even after I requested off...*sigh* but I am off at 1pm (after I complained)

One thinkg our chapter could do would be:
Run a Simming Chat/Forum site.

I did think of something else we can discuss, possibly setting up a website for our FF, Chicago has one, which you can see here.

That way, our non-JC Junkies can still check out what we're doing without having to come here. But that's to be discussed, we would have to find someone to set it up and run it.

And just a note, Sally and I might be late to the meeting, our ride doesn't get off work til 2, and we might not be able to make it to Forest Park by 2:30, but no worries! We will be there

oh and on a fun note...I will also prolly be going to the meeting blind! lol ok not really but like 10 mins ago I broke my glasses...always fun...

 

Well, as predicted I will be unable to make the meeting due to work, so I'll just have to look forward to someone posting what goes on.

I think Jedi_Tabee is right. We really should have a good web site for our group once we become active. I think it would be a great way to learn more about each other and also remember the events when we look back on them. One thing though....who here has skills when it comes to making a web site and making it look really sweet?
