So NV 3rd Southern Nevada Jedi Draft

yes, it's what you've all been waiting for.... I will be your commissioner this time round...step right up and try yer luck.....let the sign ups begin...obviously as last drafts champion Janky is entitled to the number one spot so we are looking for 2 judges and seven gms.....please post if you are to be included.....I will check the boards at least once a day....

For those of us who didn't do the last 2, what does it mean to be a GM and what do the judges do?

The runner up gets to cry because he got so close to winning it all, then failed miserably in front of millions of people. He basically choked when it counted most. Thats what the runner up gets. There is no second place, just the best loser.

Normally we let our fan force members have an exclusive chance to sign up within the first 48 hours, and then afterwards we let outsiders sign up. but that was with moron as a commish, i'm not entirely sure how Petra will run the show.

 

Also, being as you were a champion of that 'other' draft, keep in mind the first line of your sig. Lots of differences between the 2 drafts. Its ok not to be mad when you lose, everything will be ok. Tomorrow is only a day away. Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow, you're only a daaaaaaaaaaaaaay aaaaaaaaaaawaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

ok....lady obi wan.....judges view the rounds and based on their knowledge and research into the powers and abilities of each participant decides who wins the match.....gms pick teams and try to form the best team possible in order to completely dominate everyone else.... they also assign numbers to their players and decide if there will be trumps (pairing two jedi together so that they fight together).......I would love if you were a judge.....


on another note....... yes emperor windu gets to be #2 in this draft, the rest will be randomly generated for their order.....soooooo......as of now the gm's are.....

This game goes through a series of stages:

Stage 1: Sign Ups
Eleven spots must be filled; three Judges and eight GMs. Once sign ups are complete, the Commissioner randomly creates the draft order, and we move on to Stage 2.

Stage 2: Drafting
The eight GMs, in order, draft a Jedi to their team until each GM has one Jedi. Then the order is reversed, and the GM who picked last gets to pick first in the second round of drafting. This continues until each GM has a team of six Jedi. The remaining unpicked Jedi are free agents, and can be traded for until the Semi-Finals. During drafting, GMs may trade Jedi or Draft positions via PMs to each other and then BOTH PMing THE COMMISSIONER before the trade can be official. Once there are eight teams of six, we move on to Stage 3.

Stage 3: Division Battles
The Commissioner randomly seperates the eight teams into 2 four-team divisions: Tatooine and Dagobah. Once the divisions have been announced, the Commissioner will assign which teams will battle each other, and ask for numbers to be sent in. All of the GMs will assign each of their Jedi with a number between 1-6.

For example, lets take two hypothetical teams:

All the GMs would assign the numbers 1-6 to their teams and PM them to the Commish. So the numbers might end up like this:

Once all eight GMs have PMed their numbers to the Commish, he calls numbers at random, and we have our battles. So, for example, let's say the first number called is 2. That would mean that in the above hypothetical battle Corran Horn would battle Darth Bandon.

Here's where the judges come in. The three judges each post who they think would win in this lightsaber/force battle, and give explanations as to why they feel that way. If one judge thinks Corran Horn would win, and one thinks Darth Bandon would, it then becomes nessessary for the third judge to speak up. Once there is a winner for each battle, the Commish calls another number, and this continues until all the battles have been done.

In the case of a 3 win/3 loss tie, those teams now participate in a Team Battle. The three judges now must decide who would win in a battle between all six Jedi from one team versus all six Jedi from another team.

Each team in the division will battle each other, for a total of three battles a peice. Once all three battles are decided, the top two teams from each division move on to the next stage.

Stage 4: Semi-Finals
The Commish will assign the new battles so that each of the four remaining teams are fighting a team from the other division. Battles run the same, GMs send in numbers, Commish announces mach-ups, and the judges decide who wins. The winning teams move on to the next stage.

Stage 5: Finals
Here we are, the best two teams of the draft, battling each other, no holds barred. The battle works the same, except this is for ALL the MARBLES!

You're probably asking yourself, "So what do you win?" Well, aside from the admiration from your fellow Fan Force members and personal pride, the winner gets an automatic spot in the next Draft (if he/she wants) AND automatic First Draft Pick! The Runner up gets an automatic spot in the next Draft (if he/she wants) AND automatic Second Draft Pick!
