How it seems both like yesterday and an eternity ago.

I know what you mean. My life has changed radically since then, but I shall never forget what I was doing that day.

First day in my very first teaching assignment. Woke up that morning to literally watching it happen on Good Morning America, then having to explain to a bunch of terrified 5th graders what was going on.

Will always be haunted by those visions.

I'll never forget...what a bittersweet day for me.
I said my final farewells to something that had been with me all my life that I was finally rid of...and I watched the world fall apart.

(Cryptic enough for you? Maybe someday I'll tell you the story)

I wasn't going to say anything...but a coworker of mine was on flight #11. We didn't even know she was on that flight until the next day. Things are better with time, but it still bites hard. Sigh.

*hugs* I know what it's like to lose someone you love in a public way..(or make that I've lost people I love who were in the public eye). It does bite..and extremely hard!
