Looks like Vader misses R2 and 3P0. But he's evil now, so they gotta be black with red eyes of course.

 

Is that meant to be a sexy pose? Padme would be angry to see her hubby with that girl. lol

Although why would Vader task a private contractor and not give the job to an Imperial Intelligence-agency? Lack of personal?

 

She should be 30+ years old to call herself "galaxy's foremost" in something. She looks barely over 20. Maybe I'm wrong.

 

Maybe the empire was most successful in eliminating all the other raiders of lost weaponry.

Or this is actually the holonet-version of events called "Raiders of the Lost Weapon", the first part of a trilogie with the second being "Aphra and the Cathedral of Chaos" and the final "Aphra and the Final Mission".

 

20 is the new 30.

 

Really liking the cover art for these issues so far. The art reminds me of some of the OT posters, the color scheme really adds something to the books.

 

Judging by ESB and what we saw in Issue #1, Vader likes to get things done "off the books," without having to go through the Imperial hierarchy.

Maybe she's just a braggart?

 

Was she mentioned by the pirates in issue 2.....maybe Vader 's going after her next.

BTW I actually read a theory a while back that Aphra could be Felicity Jones' character in the upcoming spin off movie.

He just had a Rebel snitch follow him around last issue before this. I'm not surprised he wants to handle things "off the records". Especially since Palpatine is scheming behind his back at this point.

 

Don't forget the ****** sequel twenty years later called "Aphra and the Palace of the Diamond Femur".

 

Where hiding from a BDZ inside a disused Carbonite chamber isn't "realistic".

A directly traced C-3PO re-color with a fittingly derivative R2-D2 place holder, and a "hot" gender bent anime version of Han Solo. Off to a great start.

 

Not going to lie, I think they could tone down the sexual aspect significantly.

It's a girl. She's striking a pose. I don't see anything sexual about it, personally.

 

Well, for most of the readers, it's probably the very first time they'll have ever seen it done in comic form, so I can sort of understand their reasoning this early in the series.

I have to say, one of the most enjoyable things about Union was the tracing...

 

They would be, and are. You'd be surprised at the things that fascinate people who've never touched a Dark Horse comic or the EU. People were going wild over the chance to see Luke and Vader onscreen together between ANH and ESB.
